Joe, you are a wonderful story-teller! I shared this with both my husband and son, separately, reserved my comments, and waited for their responses. They both laughed out loud! I did too, noticing the familiarity of your experience! Kudos to you for taking a chance and opening up a whole lot of good!
What a great story! It’s great to share good stories. There’s not much kindness out there so when we hear of someone doing something nice it makes all of us have some hope. Great story with a good ending. Thanks for sharing.
What a delightful story! The painting is lovely -- reminds me of the kind of house I grew up in back in southwestern Quebec. And yes, I hope it restores Carol's faith in humanity -- at least a litte!
Thank you for sharing this story Joe. We're so inundated with scams that sometimes we loose faith in humanity. This is a lesson for all of us, to remember that there are many wonderful people. We just need to be careful. Thanks again!
Our neighbors help each other. We are different races, religion, and work history. We share produce from the garden, monitor a live trap, plow snow in winter. I believe in the good of people. Good for you for believing. We change the world believing in goodness and joy.
I would have believed the seller and I’m an older woman. I suspect this is due to buying and selling online and looking people up online. Also, scammers go for higher amounts than $50. Are most of the women teachers? The teachers I know have very little experience using the Internet. Their jobs are too demanding of their time.
@@Joethequilter Thanks. I’ve heard of her and couldn’t remember her name. I was bummed not to be able to make it out East to see your show. It looked amazing. Thanks for sharing it with us thru the video.!
Beautiful story. Restores my faith in humanity.

We have lost a bit of trust....thank you for the wonderful story
Wow. That’s so nice. Thanks for a story with a happy ending.

cool story, bro. 🥰
Joe I love that painting! It is utterly charming. So glad it made its way back to family, and in such a lovely, kindly way.

I really like the red and gold sticks quilt in wool behind you.
Love it! Love the painting, love the story. And that’s my favorite one of your quilts ❤
Wow! I love her watercolors so much! They’re really lovely, what a story! I’m glad it turned out that way 💕
Nice story Joe!
I love the painting. I didn't think it was a scam. Not enough money was involved for a scammer 😊
Wow I would have gone for it I didn’t think it was scam. Beautiful painting!😊
Great story. I wonder if it's been hammered into women about being wary of scams.
if it's a watercolour, try and put it in a place away from natural light, otherwise it will fade

I’m from Aurora, IL. Can you share the name of the art teacher, watercolorist.? Looks like Downer St.?
@@bradscott5293 Sara studied with Ruth Van Sickle Ford in Aurora, a wonderful artist and teacher.
