I have struggled for years, and my husband and I just started going to a new church. Oh my gosh I have never been to such a loving and welcoming church in my life. I joined a women's Bible study and was immediately invited to people's houses for dinner and out for coffee. I have NEVER experienced this. Most churches I've been to have been so cliquey or very shallow. What I love is that it's a very non judgmental place. We can all share where we are in life and our struggles and we lift each other up, pray for each other, and encourage one another with truth and love. I encourage you to maybe try a new church or to join a new Bible study at your church to maybe meet people you wouldn't usually interact with. I am really feeling encouraged with a lot of of the older women in the study. They have so much wisdom and life experience to share.
The part about Milena not having friends for 5 years really stuck with me. My family and I moved to a whole new state, no friends or family, I miss having friends but also I’m getting to know God more and more through this solitude. It stirs my faith to know if God answered her prayers, He can answer mine!
So true! I’m in this season as well. New state no friends just my husband and kids and it has been rough. Everything I try to “make” friends happen doesn’t flourish so hearing this encouraged me to enjoy this time to get closer to the Lord and not view it as a negative.
I would personally say (what i do) vent to G-d and if you have your therapists/teachers. For the rest, there is not reason to vent about problems to others, unless it is about yourself and anyone would benefit from it. The problem needs to be solved with the same person.
Is the individual you’re talking to trusted? Is it actually for seeking help (think of relief or advice)? Is your goal to change someone’s opinion on another individual? I think those question can help draw the line

The lord has been so kind to me in regards to friendships. As a teenager I began to pray for friends who would love Jesus and who I could share my faith with. Through these prayers, the Lord led me to bring a group of girls to Him and they gave their lives to Jesus. We’ve grown in the Lord together and it’s now been 18 years of friendships, where we pray for each other and are vulnerable and share our hearts. I’m extremely grateful as I know how rare this is! ❤

I lived in a period of isolation from solid Christian friends for like, a good 8 years after an absolutely heartbreaking end to a friendship that I spent years sowing into! I finally broke down and prayed for God to send me a friend. Any friend. And in his abundance he sent me like, 15! An entire group of other young women who desired community in our congregation but didn't know where to look! The Lord truly provides for the needs of our hearts 💕

I recently had one of the worse stabbed in the back not just from one but 2 “ Christian best friends” it was horrible. The worse betrayal. I’ve never felt that way 💔 It’s so hard for my husband and I to find good Christ centered friendships 😔
I haven’t even finished the video, but I have to comment on the breast-feeding story… I had a very similar experience. My dad committed suicide three weeks after my daughter was born. My supply was really bad, and we had to supplement with formula. One day, I was at an event for suicide awareness and forgot to bring formula with me (she was still mostly only on milk). My friends had come along to support me at this event, and my friend ended up having to breast-feed my daughter for me. I was in such an emotional place on this day, that I was so grateful for her, stepping up, and stepping in. Not only this, but when her second daughter was born she had jaundice and ended up being in a bed under lights for a day or two. They were nervous my friend would have to go home without her. Well, at this point, my friend had stopped breast-feeding her oldest daughter and her milk was having trouble coming back in. I was still breast-feeding my toddler, but my supply was still very very low. Her doctors kept urging her to try and get her milk to come in to help her daughter kick the jaundice to the curb because apparently breast milk is really good for that. Well i power pumped and was only able to get one OZ, but i brought it to the hospital that night and the next morning she was released to go home. The drs told my friend that the breast milk was most likely what made such a difference. I don’t know the logistics of all of that, but i do know how powerful it is when you have the opportunity to nourish someone else’s child and vise versa. I was almost in tears hearing your story because i know how it feels ♥️ thank you for sharing! Oh ps- her second daughter was born on my birthday! Not really related, but very special nonetheless.

At times, I’m at peace because I’m reminded of what God did with Moses and Paul of refining them. And I know this place of solitude is bringing me closer to the Lord. But many times I also feel discouraged. It is challenging me to continually put my relationship with Christ first and ask Him what is He trying to teach me through this season. And then to also focus on my family.
When I‘m listening to you I feel so encouraged. I‘m coming from a broken family and I never experienced christian women/femininity as I was younger. In January i moved to a new country (island), and God has been telling me since 2021 to pray for new Christian friends according to 2 Timothy 2:22 I haven't made any friends yet since moving here, but I know, trust and believe that God will make it happen🙌🏾
Keep praying. I was on the floor with my baby in 2020 so lonely and feeling lost with thr friends I had… God led me to a mom group that summer and it’s been 3 years of the best friendships. Praying for you ❤

I have a hard time sometimes with prayer becoming a routine, the same prayer everytime on autopilot, instead of a deep conversation with God. It's hard to bring all your worries to God, when you can't see Him.
This friendship is so beautiful, it makes me tear up. Thank you so much for giving your time to speak to women and walk with us and be an example. Looking at what a strong, Biblical group of friends can truly do makes me think I haven't had this in my adulthood. But man I want this. I've been convicted about gossip for a while, but I really struggle with figuring out what to talk about with people. It sounds so dumb and simple, but I am just so bad at conversing. I want to be able to have these intentional conversations with friends and figure out how to empower and lead them. I'd really love prayer for me to find my voice and confidence. I've felt so mute - like the enemy has taken my voice from me. I'm so fearful to pray for others out loud, fearful of challenging them, as I said before too, don't know what to say in general. Fear and anxiety has just run rampant on my tongue. I would love for prayer against this. On a similar side note, I love the story about Melanie praying for you to be convicted of buying new pots. What a beautiful reminder of even through these times where I feel silent around other people, that there's still power in my prayers behind closed doors. Love this.

My friends in the past were not good for my life or my walk with the Lord, so now I’ve sheltered myself away from close friendships from a standpoint of fear and disappointment. But this video was a good reminder that with the help of God, I can have good, godly friendships

I have a friend who deals with mental health issues (body dismorphia, depression and anxiety). It’s been 15 years and she is still tormented with negative thoughts. I need prayer so that I won’t get weary/ drained in praying and being there for her.

Hi Milena, my name is Sarah and I've been watching your channel for the past three years. I was 16 then, I'm 19 now, and I started watching you simply because I thought your approach on mothering was beautiful and when I eventually have kids, I want to approach it with passion and beautifulness as well. Recently though, I've been going through a rough spot in life and I've been searching for a way to just feel better. I'm starting to realize that maybe it's God that I'm missing and I've sort of known it all along but I just wouldn't go all the way there. I always watch your faith-based videos and I find so much peace in them, but I never just accepted what I was feeling. I'm ready now and I want to thank you and encourage you to keep sharing your stories and the love you've experienced through God. As a young girl i got bullied. Milena, it's so awesome that you have close, trusting friendships with other women. It's so rare nowadays. When I was younger, I had a handful of great friends. But that was a long time ago. I may be in the minority, but in my opinion, it's best to keep your tribe small and be very picky with whom you allow access to your life. I only have one close female friend now. Women friends, more and more, are toxic and do more damage than good.

We moved to Texas a year ago from Michigan where I was raised. I've made a lot of "friends" but not sister/friends. The two I had that would pray for and with me I miss so much. We still talk over the phone (hours usually and we always end praying for and with each other). I'm currently praying for friends like that now. Thank you for this video and yes gossip is a problem. At times, I’m at peace because I’m reminded of what God did with Moses and Paul of refining them. And I know this place of solitude is bringing me closer to the Lord. But many times I also feel discouraged. It is challenging me to continually put my relationship with Christ first and ask Him what is He trying to teach me through this season. And then to also focus on my family.

In January i moved to a new country (island), and God has been telling me since 2021 to pray for new Christian friends according to 2 Timothy 2:22 I haven't made any friends yet since moving here, but I know, trust and believe that God will make it happen🙌🏾

Wow, this video was so beautiful ❤️ Your videos recently have been so eye opening and inspiring! Could you make a video about how to pray like this? I have a hard time sometimes with prayer becoming a routine, the same prayer everytime on autopilot, instead of a deep conversation with God. It's hard to bring all your worries to God, when you can't see Him.
This friendship is so beautiful, it makes me tear up. Thank you so much for giving your time to speak to women and walk with us and be an example. Looking at what a strong, Biblical group of friends can truly do makes me think I haven't had this in my adulthood. But man I want this. I've been convicted about gossip for a while, but I really struggle with figuring out what to talk about with people. It sounds so dumb and simple, but I am just so bad at conversing. I want to be able to have these intentional conversations with friends and figure out how to empower and lead them.
I'd really love prayer for me to find my voice and confidence. I've felt so mute - like the enemy has taken my voice from me. I'm so fearful to pray for others out loud, fearful of challenging them, as I said before too, don't know what to say in general. Fear and anxiety has just run rampant on my tongue. I would love for prayer against this.
On a similar side note, I love the story about Melanie praying for you to be convicted of buying new pots. What a beautiful reminder of even through these times where I feel silent around other people, that there's still power in my prayers behind closed doors. Love this.

Hi Milena, my name is Sarah and I've been watching your channel for the past three years. I was 16 then, I'm 19 now, and I started watching you simply because I thought your approach on mothering was beautiful and when I eventually have kids, I want to approach it with passion and beautifulness as well. Recently though, I've been going through a rough spot in life and I've been searching for a way to just feel better. I'm starting to realize that maybe it's God that I'm missing and I've sort of known it all along but I just wouldn't go all the way there. I always watch your faith-based videos and I find so much peace in them, but I never just accepted what I was feeling. I'm ready now and I want to thank you and encourage you to keep sharing your stories and the love you've experienced through God. Milena, it's so awesome that you have close, trusting friendships with other women. It's so rare nowadays. When I was younger, I had a handful of great friends. But that was a long time ago. I may be in the minority, but in my opinion, it's best to keep your tribe small and be very picky with whom you allow access to your life. I only have one close female friend now. Women friends, more and more, are toxic and do more damage than good.

I've made a lot of "friends" but not sister/friends. The two I had that would pray for and with me I miss so much. We still talk over the phone (hours usually and we always end praying for and with each other).
