I’m a seventh day Adventist- I keep the sabbath every week. But after being in the church where one of our core values is to worship on the Lord on the sabbath and rest. I feel like I have become luke warm in my faith and lost the meaning of the sabbath. The fact that a non SDA is inspiring me to continue serving the Lord in the way He asks of us and is showing their children the glory of keeping the sabbath makes me feel happy and inspired. Thank you for being willing to share!

I'm Christian and I grew up keeping the Sabbath. Now I keep the Sabbath with my own family. We attend service on Saturday and we rest from everything on Sabbath. No chores, no activities, no screens, just spending time with the L-d and reading scripture, singing worship songs. It's beautiful. My husband cooks the Friday night dinner. We have a special lunch after the Saturday service and I will prepare a dessert before sunset on Friday for that lunch on Saturday. It is such a blessing 🙏🏻

“Christianity” has lost its way - the Anointed fulfills prophecy, not replaces. He fulfills Passover as the high priest who delivers His people into the final promised land of heaven, Firstfruits as the blessed firstborn (Psalm 110), and eventually fulfilling the Lord’s Day of Judgment as described in the prophets - Trumpets, Atonement, and Tabernacles to rule the new heaven and earth. Daniel describes that in 490 years the Anointed will warn Israel before a second destruction and elimination of the temple with sacrifices for 2,300 years. I believe Yeshua reigned in a 1k year kingdom of heaven as prophesies, and the second judgement will take place 1.3k years afterwards. Hope this was interesting! Shalom ❤

I am Jewish and grew up observing Shabbat. My Husband and I have a 4 year old daughter and find it so important for our family unit that we observe Shabbat every Friday night. I also keep it from Friday sundown and it was so cool to learn about how God defines the beginning and end of a day! We go to church on Saturday instead of Sunday, & we also make a special lunch meal on Saturdays and make it a special day for our families. Fridays evening are always so relaxing and beautiful to just start the rest day. Soo inspirational!!🙏🏼 in Germany we actually have our rest day on Sunday. Everything is closed, except some restaurants or gas stations. You have to get groceries the day before. I love this because it makes it easier to rest on this day. You have to take it slow. We go to church in the morning and it feels always like a celebration. After that we mostly eat something nice like barbecue, sometimes we order food to rest from cooking and then we try to do family and quality time without phones or tv. Often we will have guests or be at someone’s house to built community. It makes such a difference!
but so many people in Germany don’t unterstand that Christian tradition and fight for everything to be open every day in the week.

hallo from a fellow german. I agree with you, i love the feeling of sundays in germany. Also when people go hiking, just walking in nature and going to the cemetry on sunday. I‘m 23 years old and with every year i appreciate our sundays more. Like you said, there are people who dont seem to understand and appreciate our sundays. I think a lot of people dont understand when they are younger and think shops being closed is bad. I also have an italian friend who always complains that she can go shopping on sundays in italia when she is there for vacation and „terrible“ germany doesnt let her. I think it would really help society when we remind others why we rest and spend time with loved ones and the lord on sundays.

Christ-follower here (not Jewish) and my husband and I have been practicing biblical (OT & NT) Sabbath since 2017! Last year, we started observing the biblical feasts too and it's been so transformative. I am continually amazed at how white-washed our way of following Jesus has become in the West and love going back to the Bible and learning about my Rabbi and His ways! I highly recommend the following resources: any Sabbath-related podcast episodes from John Mark Comer and the book "Subversive Sabbath: The Surprising Power of Rest in a Nonstop World" by A.J. Swoboda. Also, Shabbat in Your Home from Paul Wilbur Ministries here on RUclips is helpful. Shalom to everyone on their faith journey!

This video was so good and been asking god about it and watching videos but people was saying it wasn’t a big deal so i brush it off but was always think about it when Saturday past by and this video confirmed the questions I was having so I’m happy I started sabbath as 19 yr old & I can’t wait to see its fruit as I get older it was so nice and beautiful to know that I’m getting all out of this life that Jesus paid the price so I can get and so excited to have this wisdom to add into motherhood and being wife when that happens🎉
    ✨Happy Sabbath ✨

In Europe sunday is considered the seventh day of the week and in Germany every single shop or store is closed on Sundays and the Citys are really quiet and I have to say, I enjoy it a lot. There is also this tradition of a long sunday breakfast and a sunday walk after lunchtime for a lot of families. It really is a special day and businesses have tried for a loooong time to change this but the church has always come through so far.

Over here in Germany, everything is closed down in Sundays and celebrate a "family day" often time with special food. It's always been my favorite day of the week.

It’s good to see other Christian’s observing the sabbath. My husband and I started doing this. We typically visit family, hangout, and not spend money. We do this from Friday sun down to Saturday sun down.

This couldn’t have come at a better time. I can’t believe this video has been up for 9 months and I’m just now seeing it. Thank you for posting on your insta story! I needed it today. I grew up keeping the Sabbath but it was in a very legalistic way. I lost my touch with it and when I went to college I fell in love with it again (but still viewed it in a very legalistic manner) just recently my husband and I have been feeling called back to it but I’ve struggled at not being legalistic about. Jesus has broken some chains for sure already but I still had some mindset that didn’t allow me to really dive deep into my Sabbath.
So, all that to say thank you. Thank you for making this video. I had been wondering about your Sabbath and I am definitely very inspired now to keep the Sabbath in a manner that honors God.

    In Jan 2021
I had this epiphany about honoring the sabbath while reading through Genesis. God is SOOOO detailed and I wanted to honor what HE said was the sabbath.
We started that same Friday night doing very similarly what you showed.
The prayers are my favorite part!
    Even my teenager was asking
“What’s for Shabbat dinner this week?!”
It has so richly blessed us.
    Often we play games too.
Ive noticed more Christians are coming to similar revelations and it’s exciting.
God said the Sabbath are His appointed (holy) day!
    He invites us weekly!

Do you all do communion at the Shabbat dinner? If so, when does it get introduced and what do you use? Thanks!
Also, from your other video you asked if you should do another Shabbat video… yes please!😊❤️

This is great! I'm a Jewish believer in Jesus/Yeshua and it's great knowing more and more believers in Jesus/Yeshua are starting to have Shabbat. I definitely agree with doing things that bring you joy, such as the things you've mentioned jogging and knitting. I personally paint or draw during Shabbat. Challah is obviously also amazing too! :)

I was raised in the south and we eat as a family every Sunday after church. I’m starting to realize how much I take it for granted and how many people out there don’t prioritize rest and time with their family.
