This is the best love song ever. Not a lot of love songs out there celebrating a post-honeymoon phase, long term relationship and actually growing old together.
i saw michael ball in 2009 and i got to meet him after the show and i nearly passed out because he gave me a kiss on the cheek :D he was my first crush as a kid because my mum played his cd's and had a video of him. when i saw this it went on for 20 mins no joking and michael said on stage he peed a little lol such a good time and i am so happy i met michael ball, still handsome :D
How appropriate that a 60s icon is in the show. I bet there were screams and applause for him when he made his first entrance (and if this wasn't a formal theatrical setting, I'm sure panties would be flying).
Caught this video a few days ago. Had been a very bad week and I laughed so hard I scared my three dogs!! Michael Ball can do just about anything and make my day. Mickey is a revelation!! Love the chemistry. Great American Michael!! Hank you both.
when I saw this on the west end they corpsed so badly they had to stop the whole number and wait unil they caught control of themselves before restarting the music. It was hilarious
This is fantastic. Micky Dolenz is my faavvvorrrite Monkee, and I love Michael Ball. Michael Ball is so awesome. They seem to enjoy playing off of each other very well.
I like after that when Micky Dolenz is laughing so hard behind Michael Ball and Michael Ball says I can’t concentrate while you’re jiggling behind me and Mickey Dolan says that’s not what you said last night
omg I couldn't stop laughing especially when Mickey lost it at the end. I've never seen Hairspray but now I want to, especially if Mickey's in it. It's kind of scary when a former Monkee is playing an old geezer. I now know why he always wears a black fedora.
Libby Checks He's a great singer! He's also a very creative individual who has done everything from directing, songwriting, acting, and even building furniture!
As much as I loved Harvey Fierstein and Dick Latessa for their portrayals of Edna and Wilbur (and they certainly deserved their Tony Awards), I think this is my favorite "couple" in the roles. Michael Ball has a voice that sounds a bit feminine with the right inflections and he sells it perfectly - just over the top enough to remain believable - while Mickey Dolenz reminds me of several dad's I knew from the 60's. They actually interact like a believable married couple and their ad-libs are times perfectly. Priceless performance - - "kiss me again!!"
Thank you for posting this this is funny just love it couldn't stop laughing those two has such a cemetery and a excellent relationship they perfect for both character in this show wish I could have seen this life.
Thanks for posting this. When "Hairspray" streamed last week I was hoping it would be this production as I'm a Michael Ball fan and heard that he was great in this. I enjoyed the production with Harvey Fierstein, but I like this better.
This is the best love song ever. Not a lot of love songs out there celebrating a post-honeymoon phase, long term relationship and actually growing old together.
Michael Ball and Mickey Dolenz are first class! Their singing is great and their relationship is sweet as can be. So terrific to see them.

This was the best Edna and Wilbur performance I've ever sense
@@user-px4qr4uu6n in a play performance lmao
Michael Ball is a phenomenal performer. He throws himself into every character he portrays. Micky was wonderful too
Michael is by far the best Edna I’ve ever seen and heard! He’s phenomenal!
Definitely my favourite Edna actor.
Even when things go wrong, he is still in character.
You think so ?🥺
My favorite will always be John Travolta !
I thought Brian Conley was far better.
@@mariexx__ agreed
This clip is just so surreal. Two of my favorite all time singers performing in the most outrageous way and being as brilliant as they've ever been.
There was really chemistry between them both, wasn´t it? I love that and them, they´re simply brilliant. Michael Ball is beyond compare, wow, wow.
You can tell they are having a blast doing this
How appropriate that a 60s icon is in the show. I bet there were screams and applause for him when he made his first entrance (and if this wasn't a formal theatrical setting, I'm sure panties would be flying).
Instant Prozac. Can't stop watching. Micky is adorable. :)

Michael Ball and Mickey Dolenz!?! WHAT!?! How did I never hear about this before? I may never be right again.
Michael and Micky!!!!! Two of my favorite people!
This is fantastic. Micky Dolenz is my faavvvorrrite Monkee, and I love Michael Ball. Michael Ball is so awesome. They seem to enjoy playing off of each other very well.
Love michael's American accent! Love him!!!!
Michael's "Oh yes you CAN" cracks me up every time. Every time.
I like after that when Micky Dolenz is laughing so hard behind Michael Ball and Michael Ball says I can’t concentrate while you’re jiggling behind me and Mickey Dolan says that’s not what you said last night
that whole "its jewish! for kiss me again" thing is ... hella adorable and i cry every time
omg I couldn't stop laughing especially when Mickey lost it at the end. I've never seen Hairspray but now I want to, especially if Mickey's in it. It's kind of scary when a former Monkee is playing an old geezer.
I now know why he always wears a black fedora.
The best Edna and Wilbur duo. I wish they portrayed the roles in the Hollywood Bowl

Micky Dolenz of the Monkee's? More talented than I knew.
Micky's acted in many TV shows and a few movies, Libby
Libby Checks He's a great singer! He's also a very creative individual who has done everything from directing, songwriting, acting, and even building furniture!
I saw Michael Ball and Les Dennis doing this, the audience adored it! They were cracking up and cheering and whistling, highlight of the show!
Me too! Absolutely brilliant!
As much as I loved Harvey Fierstein and Dick Latessa for their portrayals of Edna and Wilbur (and they certainly deserved their Tony Awards), I think this is my favorite "couple" in the roles. Michael Ball was probably my second favorite Edna, right after Harvey of course!
Thank you SOO much for uploading this! I loved Michael and Micky in Hairspray and getting to relive it all over again is brilliant! :D
Thanks for posting this. When "Hairspray" streamed last week I was hoping it would be this production as I'm a Michael Ball fan and heard that he was great in this. I enjoyed the production with Harvey Fierstein, but I like this better.
This a riot!
Love "You Are Timeless to Me" when sung by Mark Benton and Paul Rider, now that IS timeless!
I just finished doing Edna for my school production of Hairspray and i miss doing the part so much 😭😭
This is a pretty fun number. I'm gonna be playing Wilbur in my School's production.

I didn't know the guy from GTAV Trevor was real and sing on musicals 😂

So jealous of anyone who got to see this incredible act!
I love this clip its really funny.
No way, Mickey Dolenz is the lucky one!
Michael left Rebecca Caine to be with you, you'd better appreciate it! :)
Do guys like Wilbur even exist anymore? Like, genuinely liking someone and not just looking for the next easy lay??
Gamzeenmakara Yes, we do! 35 years of marriage and counting - and not regretting a single second!

Edna: I did not know you were Jewish?
Wilbur: You can never tell.
