Well done as always. I must say, I really appreciate you and your wonderful videos. You have and continue to help me so much with all the explanation of what your doing. So Thank you...
Thank you for the kind words! I also plan to do a Lock Picking Home School Remastered down the road since I have a much better setup, ability to edit, and make it easier to follow. Thank you for everything you do as well. Also, I have a lock from Washington Stste Picker I'd like to send out to you.
I am not sure if this particular o e had better tolerances than my 1100s but this lock put up quite the fight. I can usually consistently open American Locks I 30 seconds to a minute. I really enjoy them and like collecting them
Thank you guys for checking this out! I have been wanting to make a few different types of videos which you have seen over the last few weeks and I plan to start making more of the Lock Picking Home School and Featured Channel of the Week videos soon!
Thank you for the kind words! I feel like this lock must have had slightly better tolerances as well (luck of the draw I guess) because most of my 1100s I can get open in 30 seconds a minute even ones I haven't picked in a long time. This one put up a great fight and was a lot of fun to work on. I have a challenge lock I finished up on recently and will post the video next week. I was thinking about sending it to Albert Lebel and maybe he could send it to you after, I would be interested to see you guys open it. It was a lock made by Washington State Picker, it was pretty fun.
Very good explanation as to what the pins were doing. Thank you. The closeup two shot was also very good. Nice editing, A excellent padlock for anyone's collection I'm sure. Also well picked. Thank you for the video I followed your link to Amazon and read some of the reviews. Some were complaining of the shackle being able to be pulled open by hand. Have you experienced this?, perhaps they just put out a bad batch that missed quality control testing.
I forgot to say thank you in particular for the kind words on the editing :-) these videos take a lot of time to make and I am glad someone appreciates it :-) LOL
@@HelpfulLockPicker haha, no problem. Kudos to you for the nice work. I was an editor/animator/compositor for a Gov broadcast facility, I know how long stuff takes. We had good equipment too but it takes time and planning and talent to produce a good product. Your editing is very useful, especially for the new guys, it helps them alot. I wish the vids were around when I started. Lol. Good work, keep it up. 😉✌
Thank you for the kind words! If you'd like to try it out let me know, it would be interesting seeing you pick it. I would definitely want it back though, lol.
As you are lifting the pin you can hear the separate clicks you get better at it with time. The clicks you hear while lifting the pin and the click you get when you set to the shear line are very distinct and is a great indication that the pin has been set. The audio feedback is something that is often underappreciated
I'm confused. That's the old American logo but you're talking bypass wafers which I didn't think went back that far. So is your lock just old enough to get a wafer or is American reviving the old logo?
Doh! I forgot about the date code. At 1:06 you can see it's RFN or Sept. '91. That lock looks really good for being over a quarter century old. BTW how'd you guess I saw Lock Noob pick this first? 😁😉

Nicely done, I'm always surprisingly impressed by American locks.

Awesome job picking that lock buddy, and a great explanation of how American locks work my friend

Cool lock, that’s one I don’t have. Great information
I really enjoy it, it is a pretty cool lock. Brinks makes a version of it as well but it's not rekeyable which I don't like.
Informative thanks, new camera is just fine. David from the UK.
Thank you for checking it out!
Well Done!
Great video on picking and gutting not to mention very informative too 👍🏻

Thank you for the kind words. Also, no I have never had a problem

When you say two clicks, how do you know to click twice?

HelpfulLockPicker Thank you for responding and the valuable information.
No problem, I also recommend you check out my American Locks Tips and Tricks video, many have said it has helped.

When I get the lock back from Lock Noob I can check the stamp but I think this one is newer.
