Hello Catalan here. Yes it's wort a day trip, but if you're going from Barcelona, there's no need to go on an over priced excursion. Just take the train that leaves from Plaça Espanya and the Montserrat rack railway. It's a beautiful journey and way cheaper.

Ahhh that makes sense. We opted for the tour since it was easier! Wasn’t too expensive in our opinion
