Become the director of your own work of art! Did you know that there is more to a painting than just the objects you see? The artist is also the director who decides how people are posed and how objects are arranged!
In this session of Art At Home, learn how to set up and create your own still-life scene using your favourite objects from everyday life!
Inspired by the exhibition 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘯𝘷𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘥: 𝘊𝘢𝘯𝘢𝘥𝘪𝘢𝘯 𝘞𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯 𝘈𝘳𝘵𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘔𝘰𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘯 𝘔𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘯𝘵, Art Educators Tyra Schad, Rabiya Sididiqui and Yvette Salazar will take a closer look at paintings by Canadian women artists Paraskeva Clark, Vera Weatherbie and more.
Create along with us! You will need the following materials:
- Pencils
- Paper
- Something to colour with (paint, markers or pencil crayons)
- 4-5 of your favourite stuffed animals, toys or other everyday objects!
