I have to say this...Dagan you're the best I've seen online at doing what you do. You cover tons of ground. You pack in so much detail on products, you educate as you demo something, and you also happen to be phenomenal on guitar. I've watched tons of demos, and many of yours. Yours are the best. You do this extremely well.
Wow!!!!!!!! All the sounds were phenomenal!!! Those cleans were absolutely sparkling and drive sounds just spectacular!!! Gotta try out one of these!!!!!
People always overlook the cleans from these amps and also the LP. Thanks for showing that those two things can produce some really glassy clean tones! Nice kit!
Those epiphone LP custom pro’s are great, the pro buckers are awesome , I had a lot of good comments when I had my black one . It was way better than my gibson tribute 2017
@@BrandonEht The Probucker is literally made exactly to the specifications of the original PAF, down to the bobbins and the nickel content. I suppose you may not like wax potted pups? Or maybe you just think Gibson PAFs sound shit.
Regardless that Dagan almost always start with high gain sounds, he always includes demos producing pristine clean tones that are what are interesting to me. Cool video! Now I'd love to see a comparison between the Blackstar Silverline and Boss Nextone amps!
I tried one in the music store. Very impressive. I really am not fan of digital but this one is very good. The clean channel is quite good, very responsive.
Thanks man...every other vid of the amp the players all go right to overdrive and the licks...the clean allows you to actually hear the real tone...then you know what to work with...
True, and that will probably hold back sales unfortunately. I think the higher price is justified at least; real Celestion and Birch ply construction compared to Boss house brand speaker and MDF construction. Probably a legitimate tolex on this one too, but I haven't confirmed it. Tolex on the Katana just feels cheap... Which is fair for the price when the sound is as good as it is.
I will own this 50 watt 12” in my very near future....i use a Kemper mainly but when i want to just sit down with a nice 12y year red breast Irish Whiskey i don’t want pedals, tubes, weight, etc...i just want to play my guitar and chill. this amp does it for one main reason....Celestion V Type speaker is killer....Had that speaker in a Marshall DSL40CR and it is a very good sounding speaker. If Blackstar would have used the Celestial 70/80 i would not have clicked on this video.....
Best amp for that is the fender 1965 deluxe reverb with a nice strat and the reverb on about 4. Sweetest tone you can get! I spend hours a night playing straight into the amp no pedals no drive! I know you said you dont want a hevey valve amp but you dont have to move it all the time 🤣 bit of work will make the whisky earn!
Dagan, is that a great frog padlock/chain Been wanting one myself ,must get saving. Loving the look and sound of these silver line. If it is lighter than my Kat 50 I may sell my boss gt1 and other stuff in the future to get one
Orange Super Crush 100 if you have lots of pedals…. Or go Silverline if you want lots of different drive sounds and want to just plug into an amp with the most common effects built in and not mess around with pedals.
Thing I've found with digital amps, using a booster pedal doesn't work like it does with a valve amp. TBH, I'm more interested in the Epiphone, which didn't even get a mention.
Nice video. You mentioned the FS10 but didn't try it. I want to know if these new amps still change patches on the button release, which is ass backwards from every other pedal I've ever used.
They have not updated the pedal and there would be no way for them to change that feature at the amp end. The reason for the backwards nature is the pedal's second functions are accessed by holding the button longer. Just another thing to be disappointed about with this pointless rebrand.
@@theauthenticsteve Yeah, I know but It's just annoying as hell when you have a board full of pedals that work normally and then one strip across the top that works backwards. It truly is a pointless rebrand. They didn't give us a proper effects loop like we've asked for since day one. Same voices, same EQ and same effects, not that there were anything wrong with them but still... something new would be nice! I don't see the target audience for this giving two shits about a solid state amp feeling slightly more tubey. It offers nothing new yet costs more than the previous model and a LOT more than the new Katanas.
Just put one on layaway, have Botique all Tube Amps, needed something for practicing,,but as i played it i thought, damn,,this thing is Awesome..As good or better than Line 6
If you don't mind me asking, what size did you get? 50w, 100w? Wondering what either is like at home and whether you can get good tones with low volume or if it will blow the roof off. Cheers
Played both back to back...Silverlline killed the Katana in cleans and had much tighter distortion. Made the cleans on the Katana sound too week and undefined.
Lol yes it is I own both it’s way more fun to play then a katana. The katana is over hyped, disappointing and the power attenuation is a gimmick it’s like putting and ash tray on a motorcycle.
Yes....the FS-10....it’s fairly easy to use and those always confused me. I have the silverline special 50watt and I love it. I do also have a Fender tube amp...but these silverlines are about as close as you can get to tubes IMHO.
Yeah but as a Blackstar fan who has been waiting years for Blackstar to upgrade TVP I think it is time to switch to the new updated Katana MKII. Blackstar really missed the mark with this update.
They don't differ from TVP significantly enough. They differ by having a different speaker, upgraded circuitry and upgraded algorithms. The TVP range sounded fine, what TVP owners wanted was a silent stand alone loop, a pedal that worked correctly and for the loop return power amp section to work like a real power amp. This is a let down especially considering the ID Core High power series has a proper stand alone loop. Considering the new Katana MKII now matches the the Blackstar for sound but has every feature a TVP owner like me desires, I can't see why people would want to spend more for these. The new Katana is a better amp.
@@JRs-guitars Flexibility and practicality. DSP amp du jour. They come & go. Tubes since the early last century. Overdrive with real compressed distortion from glowing, hot Amber valves. Heavey Birchwood cabinet for resonance; Cel V-30s. You know you want the girl with the sexy voice.
Many Tube amps are awesome - but theres cheap - bad quality - sounding ones too !
