ROCO continued its 2016-2017 In Concert series with “Space: The Final Playground,” featuring Franz Schubert’s Symphony No. 6.
Conductor David Danzmayr led the orchestra, with Scott St. John returning as concertmaster. The program, which also included the Texas premiere of a new ROCO commission - Michael Gilbertson’s Cosmos for wind quintet and orchestra, Gabriela Lena Frank's Elegía Andina, and Vilém Tauský’s Coventry, was recorded November 19, 2016, at The Church of St. John the Divine, Houston, TX.
