You did the best you could with Nadia, don't be worried about the way you had to trim her. You did it!
Bobby is soo fuzzy. ❤❤❤❤❤
Well done Paulie- doesn't matter how you did it you still helped improve her horrid hooves!
Ocular Squamous Cell Carcinoma is horrible; is just too common in Haflingers, and Mondo was just the right age (it generally hits them young, 8 or under). Genetic tests now exist, and if people test before breeding, it’d go a long, long way to helping make sure fewer of the breed end up like beautiful Mondo. I can’t imagine the pain that sweet boy was in, and you all gave him such a wonderful conclusion to his time here. Thank you for that..so much. ❤😢
Pauly did his best on Nadia, I'm happy he was able to trim her at all!
Brooke, you are so special we all admire you so much
Outstanding! Nate is always improving that stock.
He works hard at it!
@@PonyTalesRefuge he should design one that he thinks can survive a draft horse. Bet it would be a doozy of a stock
Hope Nadia feels more comfortable after a hoof trim even if isn't pretty. Nice to have handy Nate around. Happy to hear Bobby doesn't have an infection. Adoptions yeah!!
I like want you guys do for the horse and you are doing a great job for the horse Nanette
Brooke is such a wonderful person, you can just tell!!!
Don’t you just love a man and his tools! 😁
The emotional connect these horses need sure was shown in this video and how the humans were so kind, gentle and provided that. Great job
The reality of rescue, PTR takes on the horses that others have given up on. Or the previous owners don't want to do the right thing. Sometimes the efforts are a success but that isn't always possible. At least with the excellent veterinarian care they receive through PTR none of the horses have to suffer needlessly. I would much rather they try and if no positive outcome, provide the last act of kindness. Not all of them can be saved!
Some people can’t afford the veterinary bills so they do the right thing and give them up to Pony Tales who will give them the veterinary care they need.
Poetry in moving and repairing the draft horse stocks. I was very impressed with the precision driving until we got to the repairing and then I was even more impressed. Thank you for all that you do. :)
Brook I just want to say, I've watched you grow a lot in the past year . Your connection with the farm is absafucknlytutely amazing 😍 I love watching all the horses and your growth!! Your the horses safe place... Keep up the good work 💪🏽💯
Tell Dr Pilman that a baby bottle warmer, set on low, will warm ultrasound gel pretty nice. Just get the sealed kind that you don't have to add water too, because that's annoying. I used to just carry the bottle in my pocket if I was out on the floor, but make sure the top is screwed on good or your pocket is a travesty!😂❤
Poor Mondo, I am in tears. I will keep praying for Bobbie and as for Nadia, Pauli did a great job doing a standing trim. I have seen donkeys trimmed like that and they were fine. He does what he has to do considering the circumstances. God continue to Bless ALL of the wonderful people who are helping the horses at PTR.
Great video, you're husband is great with the machinery.
He's pretty handy!
It is a huge plus to have Nate, with all his skills part of the operations there at Pony Tales. I just love to watch men who stay calm and figure out how to do things that seem impossible to most of us. Hats off to Nate not just for his manly skills but his love of the girls of Pony Tales that makes him work as hard as he does and do all he can to keep costs down by doing STUFF by himself. Three cheers for men who get the job done!
Nate's amazing. He can fix anything!
A trick I learned from the circus people to make horses poop faster: collect fresh apples from another horse that is not in direct contact with it and let the horse sniff them. 90% of the time the horse will poop within the next 3 minutes and you can collect them.
Nate is a sweetheart!
9:51 I got a little Wisconsin winter/frozen poop PTSD from this! I remember how hard it was to walk while trying to clean a stall full of shavings & frozen poop balls when it's sub zero out. It's like trying to walk on billiard balls. They roll out from under your feet!
Nate's precision with heavy equipment in tight quarters is EPIC! Good job!
Passion, patience and so much dedication to your work! I respect you so much.
Thank you so much 😀
Thank you for another interesting episode. Good to see that Walker is still alive and kicking
I wish you had a dummy horse stock just for training purposes . For them to learn to stand and be happy. You give a good insight to the running of a shelter. Always finding solutions to problems ❤
You still have Shady! I remember when you guys got him.
I really liked the format of this video!
The last few have been quite chaotic, and it's hard to figure out which horse is which and what is being done.
I really love seeing the milestone each horse has reached.
Shady is a good example - the progress he has made since last summer is phenomenal l!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Poor Mondo 😢😢. Thank you so much for caring for these beautiful souls ❤
Thanks so much everyone for the day in the life, really interesting ❤
Mister Bobby is a horse with some strong opinions 😂, wouldn't want cold gel on by belly either 😂
I just love your beanie Brook. Volvo USED to be swedish... not anymore. Horsepoopstomping.. thats new. But it works it magic on the field. Nate is making me happy, he is soo cool. and are able to fix so much. Nadia is so beautiful. Glad you was able to her feet. Sometimes things need to be done a different way. Pauly always does hes best. Im so wondering about Mondo. Dr Pillman know what to do. Your horses are in the best of hands. How is the work whit the trailer go? Thanks for your videos. Love them always.
we add hay strings to the party bucket handles, to make them longer, and that way when the buckets are full we pull them two at a time to the spreader. (if you want to make your strings stronger, braid three together)
Thank you for showing shady ❤❤
Thank you for sharing more of the everyday jobs that you do that make everything else work!
More to come!
Wow. I had forgotten about frozen poop! That was a big inconvenience back in the day. Glad you guys had a trick to get it loose! I think I had to wait until warmer weather. LOL
You all are amazing for what you do... and my heart breaks for Mondo. I would like to ask if Pauly ever considers a farrier safety helmet and the vets, as well. I am sure they are uncomfortable but I imagine so is a kick to the head. I worry... :) Blessings from Maine...
Good job Nate👍👍👍👍
I love when animals come sniff the camera and you can hear it! 🥰
You guys have an absolutely amazing team of vets and Pauly is a fantastic farrier, Nate that was some awesome manoeuvres getting the stocks out 👍🏻, tfs 🫶🏻 Julie 🇬🇧
Thank you for demonstrating what a great team you are 😊🙏❤️
We try to make it work!
enjoying and cooling off with your video, hi from Heatwave in Australia lol
You are doing a great job! 😊 So nice to see! It woukd be interesting to see how you are working with Nadia and what progress she's made.
Pauly is the best! I would rather you trimmed their hooves like that than you or the horse get hurt. Cause we need you Pauly. ❤😊
🎉 Liked, will share and comment. Hugs from Esquimalt ❤
Thanks! We appreciate your support!
@PonyTalesRefuge your cause is easy to support. One day when things aren't so tight, my goal is to come down and visit with goodies. Till then, I will like, share, comment and remind everyone that if we could either donate one dollar a month or do the sharing thing and bring new viewers to the page, the cause would be easier to help
❤❤❤
I have 3cats and I love my cats and I have 2 horse and I love my horse and I have bunny s and I love my bunny s Nanette
37:00 Angry baby stomps
good job 👌
Thank you so much 😀
Awesome repair Nate!
Thanks for sharing!
You're welcome! He's a pretty handy guy.
Nate is very good at skid steer driving.
Mandos bony changes around his removed eye socket - is there any chance that these might be injury related (bone chipped). It is hard to give up on any horse... I get the sense that Brook has become attached and likes the challenge of training him to better behaviour?
❤ the walk through
G’day PTTeam ;-) You hav one of the best Teams on the planet 🌎
Caring loving diligent patient persistence passionate professional kind loving…
Love how you coordinate external team members to get the job done under extreme conditions!
Much kudos!
Do you have a for sale section in your website… perhaps you could list items and perhaps do a regular segment on stuff N things for sale… Or even stuff wanted Or needed! Like an indoor training barn…
Pauley that mare will only get better and better with each of your working training sessions, she’ll be greatly her back won’t hurt as much!
Perhaps someone could adopt the foal Bobble and give him the next best surgery to enable him a fantastic rest of life!
Love Nate’s exceptional ingenuity, he’s such a wealth of knowledge and know how, you two make a fantastic team to be revered and blessed 😇 and emulated..
With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom wealth health and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xo 😘
We're so glad you enjoy the videos! It means a lot to us to hear such supportive comments.
Nadia is my absolute favorite girl. Watching her leg bend like that was giving me extreme anxiety. I know that had to hurt her in some way. I'm glad Pauly was able to do it while she was standing with both feet on the ground. It's definitely not ideal, but it's better than nothing. You guys need a squeeze shoot, one that allows for a horse to be laid on their side while being squeezed.
No judgment towards Pauly! I know he did what he felt was the right choice at the time.
I'm assuming the cost of a squeeze chute like Horse Plus has would be astronomical. I'd be willing to donate towards it, but it would take a LOT of donations to get one. Dunno if we could raise enough for it, and all that money would be needed for other areas of the rescue at the same time. So it might not be possible.
Might be more practical to just knock a horse like Nadia out and have Pauly trim her while she's down, if she wasn't pregnant. It seems like the solution they hit on with trimming her flat is the best for now. Safest for all involved.
@HughLlewellyn anything is possible when one sets their heart to it. I can't speak on horse Plus as I stopped watching them when I witnessed Tawny putting a horse down when she's stated over and over only a vet can it then Cory saying all shivers does is affect a horse when it's backing up when it's so much more than that.
As for the donations I feel like we can offer a ton and Pony Tales can try to work out a sponsorship
❤❤❤❤😊😊😊😊
🇦🇺💚
A digging bar to chop poops!!! Lmao awe made my day!!! Haha
Theres a farrier that has a rotating table in Texas, it looks like a stock shute but once inside the table lifts the beasts up and horizontal with their feets sticking out the bottom, I'm sure Nate can build one in his sleep, Just have to find all the bumper pads that go on the inside of it - in lew of that, how about putting the horse on the ground?
Why not put a beam underneath the stock down the center for extra support? I would think the planks would last a bit longer that way.🤔
We did.... lol
That damn shady. I just think I just love him to pieces. He is the cutest little horse.
A guy I knew from Billings livestock sales had a horse that could not be Touched on the legs. It had a brother the same way. Safety first. So dangerous.
Get a tripod! 🤗
Dr Dave don't beat your head over the hernia surgery. Some times the suture material isn't good
So I watch both you and HPHS, and I realy prefer your videos. I like that you don't ask for donations 92 times per video. We are not stupid we know rescuing horses is not cheap, we don't need to be milked for money constantly. You obviously don't make as much, but you seem happier. Just my opinion.
We do the best we can with what we have! We're glad you enjoy the videos.
I am starting a program in Michigan for veterans with ptsd. I would like to get the horses for this program from you guys. Who would I contact? I am currently looking at nine that are on your adoption list. I tried going through the website but it is fear towards those wishing to adopt one horse?
You can email us at info@ponytalesrefuge.org!
Last episode was unclear did we say goodbye to Daphne? I wish you were more clear about things like that. I think people want to know instead of just guessing.
No, Daphne is still here and doing well so far with her new shoes. :-)
@PonyTalesRefuge that is good to hear I'm glad she's doing better.
Weren't you fundraising for a squeeze chute Maybe I'm confused on that .
For Love of The Hoof in Arizona, did fundraising for a squeeze chute, and succeeded.
They were fundraising for a stock in the quarantine barn
@@AuthenticMage Wonderful. They need it!
A vet stock as others mentioned. Yes, and we got that. A squeeze chute would be lovely though! Not sure where we could put it, but could figure something out. Lol
Would you 'rent out' Nate????
He’d be popular! But I am guessing his time is fully booked.
Haha! Sure! In his "free time" which doesn't exist. Lol.
Hey Guys, I love your Videos but since a while there is something like "automatically synchronisation" added to your videos which results in a nasty german robot voice translating everything what is said which is the most nnoying thing I can imagine!
Does anyone know how to turn that off? I tried to find a button on the mechanic wheel under the video but I can only switch teh languange of the annoying robot voice but cant turn it off! HELP PLEASE!
We will look into it!
We found this. Maybe give it a try?
To turn off automatic synchronization on your RUclips videos, you need to sign out of your Google account on any devices where you don't want your watch history to sync; this effectively prevents automatic synchronization of your viewing activity across different devices.
How to do it:
Open the RUclips app on your device .
Go to your profile icon: located in the top right corner.
Select "Manage your Google Account" .
Navigate to the "Security" tab .
Under "Your devices", click "Manage all devices" .
Choose the device you want to sign out from and click "Sign out" .
Key points to remember:
Signing out on a device does not delete your watch history, it just prevents further syncing from that device .
If you want to stop syncing specific data like your "Watch Later" playlist, you can manage individual sync settings within your Google Account settings
So nice from you to answer ❤️Thank you! To Verena :Sollte dir das zu kompliziert sein, ich gehe immer auf das Wagenrad und scrolle auf audiotrack und stelle es dann auf original englisch.
🙋♀️🌞🌻❤️
@@PonyTalesRefuge thanks for that advice. I am not sure if that really worked because the device I was using at the time, I wasn't able to sign out. Maybe I am a bit technically stupid with all that but the thing with switching it into English/Original at the audio track button worked so far. We will see if I have to do that all the time or it stays that way.
I don't even get how it is possible that Google or RUclips just translates my videos into a certain language without asking or me wanting this. I mean if I would want to watch a video from Eastern China that may be useful but not on the content I watch.🙈
Frech eigentlich.🤨
I’m sorry but I had to stop watching during the draft stocks repair because it was just making me carsick with all the panning around. I love your show otherwise.
Sorry about that! We'll try to keep the camera movements in check next time.
I can’t tell if that’s a man or a woman in the beginning
What matters is they’re kind and gentle with the horses, passionate about rescue, and care about animal welfare. It has been mentioned in a previous video that Brook (sp?) doesn’t care about what pronouns people use.
He's presenting as a man. He has a mustache and a deep voice. He prefers he/him pronouns. He's a man. Also know that he is loved and valued and a REAL asset to the horses as well as the rescue. Let it go at that.
@@HughLlewellyn so a woman. Simple as that
@Paulusia1111 obsessing over a strangers genitals is pretty weird dude, ngl. You should probably be on a watch list
@@Paulusia1111 Wow. What the hell is wrong with you?
Call Dr. Christen. She doesn’t wanna put everything to sleep. She wants to save things.
What a short sighted comment. Acts of mercy aren't why any vet goes into the field, but they're part of the job.
And so does Dr. Pillman. Not all of them can be saved, sadly. We all did our best. Kristin would have done the same and if had the same result, would suggest the same.
I don't think you quite understand the amount of SUFFERING bone cancer causes. You really want to put a horse through that? MONTHS of treatment after an extremely painful surgery, only for the cancer to reappear? Keeping a horse alive just to keep them alive, without considering the amount of pain they'll be in for a horribly extended period of time is just cruel. It's kinder to let them go when their prognosis is so poor. Cancer sucks. Don't blame the vet for it. They took their shot, hoping it was just an infection that could be cured. It wasn't.
Please stop the camera motion. It’s making me dizzy. I really do appreciate your efforts but I cannot watch.
So... how 'bout you cough up the dough to buy them a steady cam? Because that stuff is expensive and they're a rescue that survives only on donations for the health of the horses, not for the entertainment of their viewers.
Great teamwork! Best wishes to all of you (Bernie too🦴) Thank you and stay
warm❤️🧦❄️🧥🧣
Thank you! You too!
