Finally found it. I watched this in like year 2 of primary school. Each time I reminisce with friends about old children's programs no one has a clue when I try to describe it (there was this dragon and some school children in a strange world with these weird orange shapes). At least I know I didn't make it up now.
Haha yeah I was trying to describe this to my wife the other day and she didn't have a clue what I was talking about. I hit up RUclips and showed her this video and she remembered instantly lol
I have a weird story regarding this show that always stayed with me. At my school, we all loved this show and we'd always be talking about it and wondering when we were going to watch the next episode. Now everyone including the teachers, used to call it "The Dragon of Pelamar!" That's the name that we always used. Yet we were watching it one day and I noticed that it was actually called "Through the Dragon's Eye." Some time later me and some friends were talking and one friend said "I wonder if we're going to watch the next Dragon of Pelamar today." And I, in a light hearted sort of way said "You know what's funny? It's not called The Dragon of Pelamar. We've been getting it wrong all of this time. It's actually called Through the Dragon's Eye." Now, I don't know what other primary school kids were like back then, but in my school, if you said something that other kids didn't agree with, even if you were right, you'd get majorly chewed out for it! All my friends just went "NO IT'S NOT! IT'S CALLED DRAGON OF PELAMAR! DUUUUHHH!" This not only upset me, but what made it worse was the fact that every time we watched it, we saw the title! It was right there at the beginning of every episode. Heck, they even sing the title in the damn theme song. And because I was never the kind of kid who would stand up for myself, I never had the balls to just point at the screen and say "See, it's right there, I am right!" Yet even if I did do that, knowing the kids in my class, their reactions would probably be something along the lines of "Who cares? I'm not calling it by that dumb name! Dragon of Pelamar is so much better!" It wasn't until the early days of RUclips that I decided to look it up, and discovered that the first episode was called "The Dragon FROM Pelamar." I'm guessing that's where the confusion came from, but even then we were all getting it wrong. The reason that this has stayed with me all of these years is that it's a show that's supposed to encourage kids to read. So ironically it felt like I was the only one in that class who was actually reading the stuff in the show like you're supposed to.
Ah man, memories watching this in school in the early 90s, probably around 1993. For some reason I always remember the orange dude (Boris?) and that nightmare inducing villain.
i was starting to think i'd imagined this as a fever dream or something, but no, it's real. Every now and then this theme tune just pops into my head out of absolutely no where, i'll be on my death bed and it'll be the last thing i remember
The excitement was real when they rolled that oldskool TV in the hall for a bit of this when I was growing up.. they must of had a ball who worked on the creative writing team for it
Lol. I get that with the silver brumby. No one knows it. So I show them on here and still look at me weird! the intro is the best!! Me n my brothers used to watch it every day. X
Same. I was intrigued by Charn. But as a kid I was fascinated by the baddies. Soundwave was my favourite Transformer, I thought Mum-Raa was awesome and Skeletor was bad ass! 😂
The sad thing is I never got to watch this in school. I only saw it because I was very ill in bed for several weeks. My mother recorded the last couple of episodes for me.
Used to get made to watch this in Primary school and I remember it terrifying me and making up excuses to get myself out of the classroom so I didn't have to watch it
Does anyone remember a show from about the same time as through the dragons eye that was about an alien crash landing on a beach somewhere in the UK and a young boy finds it ? What's it called ? It's been bugging me for years lol.

The excitement was real when they rolled that oldskool TV in the hall for a bit of this when I was growing up.. they must of had a ball who worked on the creative writing team for it
Had a ball? Well they certainly experimented with a lot of substances.
