Did they improve the chances of getting summons? About an hour into the game and I had multiple cockatrice drops and multiple goblin drops. Never has it taken me that fast to get either of those.
For a second there I thought they must of buffed the goblin summon to hit for almost 500 damage, then I saw the parties hp. Cockatrice can also be found in the forest just a few steps south of Baron. I got both within minutes of each other.
@@veghesther3204Don't. Past about level 80 I think, the stat growth becomes random and has a chance of going down instead of up. Granted that may have been taken out of this version but still.
@@dannypistilli4864 right from the start of the game. There’s a trophy 🏆 achievement for it. Some of the summons can be useful early in the game. In late game, not so much..😅
As an aside, I think it's easiest to get Bahamut after getting the Lunar Whale and before FuSoYa joins. It's easier to keep reflect maintained on a smaller party.
Agreed. If you’re going through quickly and have a lower level though, having FuSoYa means you have another castor to either pummel him or maintain reflect. If you go after the giant, don’t cast reflect on Kain - just have him jump. Sometimes he’ll get lucky and be out of the way. But your way is definitely the better alternative for the reasons you said!
ya forget about the knife or aka spoon for edge. after you hit yang with the pan. go back to fabul and get the spoon aka knife it can take out 9999 damage. or did i miss it? lol this must be done before you get fusoya lol.
Err… the knife should be done after you use the pan on Yang. Then return the pan to his wife to get the knife. It’s not a summon. It’s more of a secret item😅 not sure what the cut off point is. Probably before the babel tower event since Yang will be awake by then.

You mean you left 3 hidden items ? The two item in land of summons only appear after battle of the giant. One in weapon shop bookcase and the other is in the armor shop bookcase. In sylph cave, got it after Yang recovered the bookcase near the sylph.

Right and the pink tail is worse since the flan princess only appear in one room in the final dungeon and there rare with a rare drop
It would kind of make sense if they were good but they're some of the worst spells in Rydia's arsenal.
Regarding Sylph, you can still get the summon even if you didn't wake up Yang before the Giant of Babel

It maters how many of the mobs that drop the item you are fighting, more equals higher chance.
I can not to find the grimoires. I think the cause is not speaking with Yang before Giant entrance!
You need to defeat Bahamut, only then the grimoires will appear

I actually own a bugged ff2 snes version. Rydia does not use mp when summoning sylfid. I thought this was normal.
My ff2 on snes also did this.
Actually got the imp summon in the original game totally took forever to get and thought it was just dumb luck

I used 99 sirens and fought Mindflayer that many times and they never dropped the mindflayer bag
