That’s why I need to learn how to do this DIY on my parents house where I live. Look at all those guys on site, getting £150/200 easy. £800 a day labour easy. That’s why loft conversions cost £50,000!!! I want to do it in around £15,000.
Yes the dorma you can see at the back and the roof was all constructed in a day, we had to get it done and closed in because the rain was due in about 6pm that eve ! 👍
Perfect clean job 🏆
🤙
I’m utterly fascinated with construction. Fantastic job from a bloke that wanted to be a bricklayer but ended up a jeweller/bullion dealer 😬
😂 I know which profession I’d choose
Looks really good guys and I have learnt loads ty.
Nice work mate
nice work looking good .....
Thanks Lee 👍👍
Health and safety out of the window here. One of the stools legs on the timber 😢😮
Timbers for the dormer lintel should not be laid flat. They should be arranged like flat roof joists.
Is that steel ridge sitting inside on the bricks on both sides because it looks as if it's just sitting on top of those stud timbers on one side?
Probably sat on a load bearing post transferring weight down to a brick wall below. Is my guess from what you can see in the vid.
On one of his former videos you can see him go into the cavity to lay a pad stone, it’s all tip top!

@@extendaspace-constructionc821 Great work guys
Do you have complaints from neighbours 😊
how much roughly would you say this project costed the client
The total project was about £37k, decent room when it was finished 🤙
was it really too much effort to put a bit of flooring under the hop up instead of balancing it on the top of a joist. lucky this time.
Terrible work timbers across window not strong enough to take roof load
Sorry are you building control?? Because they signed it off ok !!
@@extendaspace-constructionc821 the above observation is structurally correct, even if building control has signed it off.
Its physics.
