The Riello burners use an interesting system. Certainly worth a look.

I always thought they were great burners. I would like to see them used more.

We have one in the place we rent. I find it much easier to service than my neighbors beckett style burner. Similar but it seems more thought out.

Can you use brake cleaner to clean the cad cell? If not, now do I clean it?

I have never tried that. But if the cell is covered with hard deposits, you may have a problem with positive pressure in the firebox.

I have a quick question for you. My oil boiler just went out and it’s reading no ignition fire I tried to reset it and nothing happens. It just got serviced in January with major parts replacements I don’t know what else to do

I have a question on a different subject some people are a little confused on. I know AC power goes to an ECM motor before going thru the control hub but the question is: Does the ECM operate on AC power or DC power converted from AC thru the hub?

Would you take a watts 2000-m5 apart and show how they fail?

My oil furnace one day stopped working, doesn't start. Oil pressure ok. But I changed the oil filter and nozzle. Again oil pressure ok. Again oil furnace doesn't start. Check the spark it's ok. Again oil furnace won't start. Check the peephole to see if I’m getting spark, no spark. Replace the cad cell and transformer. But I get a spark when I took the nozzle/electrode out of the burner head. So I left the peephole open, guess what? The furnace started. This is completely the opposite of what the cad cell does. I double-check the cad cell, high resistance with no light, low resistance with light. Again cad cell is brand new. The oil furnace only starts with the peephole open, then I close the peephole and it runs great, very smooth. But won’t start up the next time the thermostats want heat on. What’s going on???

Combustion air adjustment may be off, the spark could be jumping to the burner head.

I verified the Combustion air adjustment settling (3.5), but I lower the settling and it made no difference. I don’t think the spark is getting short out because the furnace starts up immediately when I open the peephole to start up the furnace. I did a internet search for this problem. I did find someone else who had the same problem-the furnace only starts up with the peephole open, then close to run---. This person called three separate oil furnace repair companies and nobody could fix the problem. I’m at a loss.
