Roguelike- start with no discernible advantage/disadvantage. Upgrades after are random Roguelite- after each run, you can PERMANENTLY upgrade the start of every concurrent run. Absolutely nothing to do with graphics, game style, NOTHING. Lite means you start each run stronger
Regigigas gets Skill Swap as an "egg move" in this, so he can actually end up being really good. Even if you just skill swap with the first pokemon you see, if you leave him out he will keep the ability.

Over levelling means you take more damage from eternatus so he handicapped himself here 😂
