I'm a massive fan of the 964. Can't get enough of this car. I'm gutted I miss the boat on grabbing one while they were affordable. I'm planning a video on the 964 in the coming weeks.
Can never have too much 964 content! New wheels look great, have to say I'm also a huge fan of the classic look of the Cup 1's. Are you going to address the common 964 'frown' on the front bumper where someone has got a bit too close to a kerb?
I put the KWv3 on my 964. I hated the ride quality. The rear lacked compliance - it was super harsh, even when going from Bilstein B6 (which is already much firmer than stock suspenson). You could feel even the smallest undulations of the road. I ended up sourcing softer rear springs from KW. Now the car rides kind of OK, but certainly very firm. Looks cool tho.
@@rajsangha911 get softer rear springs from KW (front are fine). The ones that they ship with the kit are 457 lbs/inch (vs 189 stock). That is way, waaay to stiff for anything but a track car. To give you a better perspective: The stock Porsche suspension on 89-91 C2/C4 is 158 lbs/inch front and 189 rear. The Porsche sport suspension (option M030) is 150-200 front and 225-275 rear. Eibach is 82-250 front and 188-256 rear. H&R coilovers are 250-285 front and 265-285 rear.
I love the wheels, even if it wouldn't have been my choice, but I think that you need to chance either the tires, or the ride hight. The tires look too narrow for the ride hight, or you should drop it just that little more before doing the alignment. I've gone for 215 on the front aswell but from Michelin, but I chose a 255 on the back, and it transforms the look of the car, even with my car sitting approximately 1-2 centimeters lower than yours. Also, I have the same suspension, an PU bushes all around. I installed an H&R antiroll bar and it has TRANSFORMED the car. Put it on the softer setting, and you will enjoy the car even more through those corners.
@rajsangha911 any other contact details for him. Can see an Instagram account (but I'm not a member) but his website seems to be down and can't find any other details for him

Go Mint Grun Porsche colour code L22R N4. Only colour for a 964 ;)
Another great episode! Will pop to Greg’s and have a nosy when its there 😊
Please do! Planning on having it repainted over winter
@@rajsangha911 known Greg for 40 years, he’s a good guy

Agree, the ride can be very firm with KW but I guess, I'm just use to that!

Classic Porches 🎉
You have an epic collection of cars 🚗 fair play .. 👊🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you 🤗
Looking a bit buff Raj, fair play to you sir 💪
Thank you kindly 💪🏼
Parm looking at this like...."lets bag it....!" 🤣🤣
Not letting Parm anywhere near this one 😂
Really like the wheels and stance. Not a fan of the stretched rubber though. I feel fatter rubber would look better. 🎉
Totally agree, stretched rubber and wheels are a short term option 👍🏼
"Fast road car" with stretched ditch finder tyres = asking for trouble 😂😂
Sweet looking wheels. However….on that car not sure they work for me - suspect they’re more suited to an older model.
I guess they'll do for now 😊🙌🏽
Noooooo! Put the Cup 1 rims back, or at least something authentic like Speedlines
Divided opinion on these wheels! Will run for a few months with this setup and decide on the best wheel choice going forward 👍🏼
Sorry, the new wheels don't do it for me.
They are terrible. The small centre with the large rim, the busy bolts, the stretched tyres. Ergh!
Those Rotiforms look so clean on that Porsche, Can't wait for the next upgrade!
You and me both! Looks and drives so much better!
Like what your plans are with this 964, but the wheels are 🤢 like the OEM
No problem, divided opinion on the wheels and they are temporary 🙌🏽
Love the new look classy and neat.
The front tires seem to be too narrow. They look like they don't fit the rims. You can easily fit 245 rubber on an 8.5 inch rim.
Those rotiforms really work well on the car , I’d be tempted to leave them on for a while , classic look on an iconic car
That's the plan - will leave them on the car for the next 2-3 months
green 964…?
Lucky lucky guy.. Love the rims 👊
Thank you, appreciate the feedback 👍🏼
Love the wheels. Love the red too !
I like the new wheels with its Fuchs centre design. As you said, it transforms the car for the better.
Yes, totally 🤙🏼
Rotiform wheels made the car look great 👍
Agree, they’ve transformed the look of the car 👍🏽
Prefer the original wheels looked much nicer
not a fan of the wheels tbh, plus tyres undersized. 993rs style speedline 3pc work well on 964.........tramont wheels make them with stainless lips.
Thanks - appreciate the feedback on the wheel options 👍🏼
I really need a 964 in my life, anyone selling give me a shout or if anyone knows any not currently on the market that might be for sale
Just check out Ian Harris (@harrisclassics on instagram) - he always has a few for sale

Your car your rules but wheels not right for that era of Porsche
A proper marmite wheel from what I can see in the comments 🙌🏽
Those rims are not it, looks horrible it’s most definitely for the worse
No problem, just a temporary solution and understand they are not for everybody 👍🏼
