I think a part of the problem is not just with RUclips but all social media, people get a following of some sort and that in turn makes them feel validated or "right" on almost every take they have. Then they start doing/saying the most over the top shit to get attention or stay relevant until they die out and are lost to the sand of time. The vicious cycle of Cornballs and actual stupid people.

(i'm mostly praising the game cuz i am havin fun even on my potato laptop when i play on the LOWEST settings. btw people need to learn to lower their settings, it's not the end of the world smh)
Upscaling Support on a PC game in 2024 is also much appreciated, especially if your pc/laptop is not as strong. It is a shame that the game is locked to 60fps but I hope we can get that from Kuro in the future or from third party tools. Those animations and visuals would look even better on 165hz+.

Cuz like it enhances the gameplay and maybe gives an unfair advantage?? (Huge possibility that it doesn't count as that but personally I am not willing to take the risk) But like you said I hope kuro adds 120 fps to the game for the people who can run it at 120 fps :)
@@HydroC0 120fps option has apparently been in the beta but removed because there were issues in certain areas. Even so, why stop at 120? I have a 165hz monitor and a good enough GPU. In genshin I've been using a tool to unlock the fps and it is running fine on 170fps. People generally say the tool is safe to use and that there are no bans. It is a shame we have to resort to 3rd party software to have a good gaming experience. 60hz to 165hz is a massive improvement.
@@vxn1shh that's valid, and i am aware of the jump from 60hz to 120hz (cuz my phone supports 120hz) so i can somewhat imagine how it feels to have an even bigger jump such as 165hz and it would be awesome if they implemented 165hz or even higher like you said, however if u ask me if they bring back 120hz it would still be good for people who don't wanna use third party apps, right? (ofc there's nothin wrong with wanting more, it's just imo the most realistic thing they could do is return 120hz after optimizing it)

Performance wise it’s pretty ok. It’s unreal engine so the whole shader caching stuff’s there and the in game fps cap is kinda broken too ( btw you can fix some stuttering issues by using the nvidia control panel fps cap to the game. Fixed my issue and also anything related to nvidia in the game is outdated if im correct. Dlss in wuwa is 3.5 I I think 3.7 is already out so thats no updated. And disabling dlss, vsync, and reflex helped a little.

Well because the argument Genshin copied Zelda falls apart if you think about it for more than 5 seconds, unless Zelda invented half the fantasy genre.

The joke in PGR community with KURO saying : "Please understand, indie company" is partially true, KURO is not Hoyoverse, there aren't ton of money, look at PGR revenue each months.
If I Understand correctly, KURO hadn't the money to make Wuwa so they are in debt and like many company they bet on the "day one" sells to refund that. When certain ppl said "ho, 44M in 2 weeks LOL they are fine", we need to know the cost of the project and marketing (they did a world tour !?!?).
This is why they are announce that this patch duration will be shorten by 1 week, and Yinlin will be the selling point in 3 days.
Because of Genshin (Natlan coming) and ZZZ, KURO couldn't wait to release the game, so they done it now before the future storm that is approaching.
Now they are in a rush to fix all problem knowing there will be there. To "control" the emotional roller coaster of crazy gacha players they throw plenty of compensation.
That is my understanding of the situation now.
We need to be patient, nothing else.
The problem I have with the game is that it feels like I’m playing reskinned genshin.
I played genshin on launch and maybe lasted a year. So I haven’t played genshin in 3 years +/- btw.
I really think the best part of this game is the combat. Dodge and parry mechanics are really fun and let you have skill expression…especially with the holograms.
I also think they have some great qol things, especially with traversing the world.
However the game just lacks a lot of originality and identity for me. I feel like they were trying too hard to pander to a specific audience (who play genshin) and it really had a huge impact on their creativity.
I’m not trying to hate on it, but the story isn’t compelling either (protagonist loses their memory blah blah). So in my opinion it feels like I am kind of playing some amalgamation of all these gacha games with some little tweaks here and there.
I am having fun…but I don’t know how long I’ll play or how much interest I will keep in the game. I certainly don’t hope it will fail and I hope it gets better… I just did not get the excitement you get when you’re playing a brand new game for the first time from WUWA…and to me that’s a bummer.

Honestly it's pretty much the same with Battle Royale games when PUBG got popular. I think it's just a start of another type of genre for games.
Actually, a great critical take. I completely understand what you're feeling too. I would like to see less Genshin and honestly just more streamlined combat. Like if they stripped out a lot of the fluff and put a bunch of instanced dungeons (or "dungeons" on the OW map) that you just farmed a bit more like the gameplay loop of a Diablo-like game. I'd be happier, too.
Although, I thought I hated the content in Genshin as I stopped doing any of it besides the abyss since 1.5 or so, but WuWa did prove to me that exploration is fun if movement is actually fun lol.
Also, though, I really think what this game is trying to be is an alternative to Genshin to capture the market it disappointed. It's like the Whopper to the Big Mac or it's like a Big Mac no sauce sub BBQ. Sometimes the lightest of changes can satisfy an entire audience without completely changing the base. Genshin did not do great about catering to fans that liked the overall game but really just wanted to "change the sauce".
Still great feedback, and I hope WuWa (and Genshin) both keep expanding and adding more dynamic elements.
@@ChrisUchiha7 that point is irrelevant. you could have picked anything that is collectible and you could say they copied genshin. you could pick any colletible in genshin and you could say they copied collectibles in ubisoft games open wrold ( like animus shard) or some other example) genshin built itself on back of giants as well . they didnt create collectibles and open worlds.
collecting collectibles in an open world has been done in everyof them so saying they copied genshin because the occulus is not a good point to make .

As a mobile player who literally cannot play the game, the amount of people just blatantly ignoring the optimization issues or downplaying it completely is so aggravating because thats a real issue with the game thats just not being addressed , i wanna play the game so bad without it crashing every 10 mins

this drama is dumb cant people just enjoy the games sure wuwa is having some issues with performance but comparing it to genshin makes no sense genshin runs on unity and wuwa runs on unreal which is a more demanding engine but kuro did a good job my potato pc runs the game okay it does lag but its not impossible to play I can still dodge and counter but its harder and probably in one month the game will be playable for everyone

I think some of the issues on WuWa launch, such as no support for non-standard keyboards (AZERTY, QWERTZ, etc.) which has yet to be fixed, are inexcusably bad, cause they seem like such an industry standard at this point and are honestly really not that difficult to fix, but all of the other quality of life stuff they implemented on launch already are great at offsetting it and making you wanna stick around

Sorry to hear that. What device are you using? We've been able to hash out some solutions that may help.
For example, on PC some friends had critical errors, bugs, and crashes... reinstalled on a different drive and the game ran fine. It seems that WuWa has some problems with certain drives and many problems with HDD as opposed to SSD.
Never blindly praise things because you don’t owe them anything and they wont see that haha, never understood why people glaze every game so much

they made every cutscenes and dialogue skippable some time ago . its in the top left corner of the screen, if you didnt spot it

I finally gave up on WuWa. Want to like the game, but what good I find, I find a lot more bad for me personally. The echo system alone is something I don't have much fondness for and feels way too much like Genshin, even quitting that two+ years ago after Inazuma. From localization to bugs (the ping one never went away, so hey that's fun), the game was released too early and it shows. I've been active enough in gacha/live service titles and the state of WuWa being given passes is a bit too much for me as a lot of videos on it feel like I'm revisiting Genshin with less of the interesting stuff that wasn't solely gameplay.
That said, I would hope more for Kuro, but the devs somehow continue to cause some new thing that just makes me question what management is doing there. I feel bad for devs as there is some heavy crunch to be getting out those hot fixes and that's never a good thing from my experience in gaming.
Story never got better for me and given I've barely seen an actual discussion on themes on it: I can tell there is very little interest there. It very much reminds me of Destiny 1 of all games in scraping and throwing together a story, but even than I'd still have more to say for D1's story with how bare bones it was compared to WuWa's. Again, hope the game can turn it around, but I think I'm good regarding playing more myself.
Just isn't my cup of Joe, but hope others can get something out of it more than I did. Got to lvl 34 and just started to zone out with echoes and boss fights.

A billion company, maybe yes. But I just think they haven't get enough "grip" creating straight up open world game more so using unreal engine yet. That's why I think on the surface it exactly looks like another genshin to many. I just hope by the time they would develop their own theme/art style of their game. At least as the story goes after act 5 forward, the story kinda has Kuro's "touch" in it, alluding to all that depressing like PGR which once said as HI3 copycat but now PGR feels like its own game.

I have been playing on my 9th gen ipad since my pc is broken currently and the game keeps crashing within 10-20mins or when try to open map or backpack. Do you guys know if this is something they can fix or not??

5:19 camera is top notch ? ???? wtf . my main issue is that camera is wonky sometimes in fight and even if i have aim assist toggled off, my characters will auto target random monsters in the distance if i forget to press the lock on feature. even withtout it i shouldnt be able to switch to the target behind me i dont see on camera every 2 attacks, its infuriating lol
so yeah that point right now isnt a good one , but the game is good for other reasons

That's what I mean with they probably mean camera work during cutscenes and not camera during normal gameplay. Since I've almost nerver seen someone user the term "camera work" for normal gameplay controls.

I'm saying that person probably meant the camera work during cutscenes which is pretty nice and not camera controls and it's issues.

do you know how hard it is to make a good working camera in games ? totally different how you make camera works in movies and cinematics. and considering that most of the cutscene , the camera is static, i REALLY REALLY REALLY don't think he is talking about that and he is answering the complaint a lot of people have about how the camera controls and WORK and responds etc. right now, for example, i have full sensibility on both mouse from windows settings and in game and it doesn't change a thing, still slow as fuck to move around, so it's infuriating times 2 when camera fixes itself all the time because the autotarget toggle doesnt work either ( or not entirely off)
