They say back in those days wanted dead or alive and then they complained when Ford got the job done. I don’t understand people back then. Ford was a handsome young man too. I don’t think they wanted to hand over the reward money and they made Ford into a monster.

You mentioned (5:35) that the phrase used in this video's thumbnail "Hello Bob" said just before Bob Ford was killed may not have been uttered. It was not in THIS case. The phrase "Hello Bob" were the last words heard by lawman Bob (Pecos Bob) Olinger just before he was shot-gunned to death by Billy The Kid in Lincoln, New Mexico in 1881. He was the last man BTK killed. Even in this case it may not have been said, but that phrase is associated THIS murder by Billy The Kid. The Kid was already in jail, held there by two lawmen, Bob Olinger and James Bell. Bob Olinger left Bell with BTK while he stepped out across the street for lunch. BTK somehow obtained a weapon. He overpowered Bell shooting him to death, and took the keys to get out of his cell. Olinger hearing the commotion left his lunch to investigate, thinking Bell had shot The Kid. Olinger had left his shotgun at the jail house, which was now in the hands of The Kid. Of course he didn't know this. The Kid was walking around on the second floor of the jailhouse when he saw Bob Olinger approaching from across the street. Just as Olinger neared the building The Kid smiling and laughing said "Hello Bob," and BANG! BANG! He had unloaded on poor Bob and made his escape from jail. Again. So yes, "Hello Bob" is associated more so with a Billy The Kid story than an indirect Jesse James story.

Three days after the fire, on June 8, 1892, Edward O'Kelley entered Ford's tent saloon with a shotgun. According to witnesses, Ford's back was turned. O'Kelley said, "Hello, Bob." As Ford turned to see who it was, O'Kelley fired both barrels, killing Ford instantly. He became "the man who killed the man who killed Jesse James". He never explained his motive for the murder.
