This is like if you're watching a classic horror movie, but like 30 minutes in to the movie, one of the protagonists opens console commands and enables God mode.
I don’t think people realize how hard it must have been for the developers to create code that allow those type of mechanics, it’s INSANELY good and hard.
(Everyone on console) I tried dozens of time to get it under 30. i watched your video and did it second try. the shortcuts you used saved so much time. Im on console so the block hop doesn't work but with doing those parts normally i got 32:31 which on console the load times for me were about 30 seconds so minus 4 minutes of loading im at 28:31. If your on console like me and trying for the speedrunner achievement this video will give you the best shot. Just dont try block hoping and make sure to keep walking on dialogue parts, sitting on the dolly like he did doesn't progress the level you have to reach the bricked elevator.
After several months of trying, I was finally able to get it on console. Block hopping is possible, but tricky. Use the RT to grab everything instead of b and it's much easier. I never could get the hang of going all the way through blackout in the dark. But if you dont use time to resize the red lights, and only grab the first one, it's still possible. I finally got my time down to 34.09.
I was able to do the block hop for the first two places in the run on PS5, but for whatever reason the last one in Chapter 8 tripped me up every time until I finally said screw it and just used the dreaded cheese wedge to finish it for a 31:32 time. Considering it was my third run of the game over the course of 3-4 hours I was pretty happy with it. Good luck to all!
For the blackout maze, just start by walking backwards in order to line up correctly, then roughly memorize how much time you need to hold each key. I personnally never move the mouse until the end. You can train yourself by trying that with the exit sign light, or with the practice mod.
I've done all the achievements in this game, including the in game speed run. Watching you absolutely nail these tricks is both beautiful and infuriating, the amount of runs that died because I was off by a few pixels and something fell over/wrong sized/missed target Well done

I also had no idea that the radio plays Dr. Pierce's voice even without touching it. I thought you had to interact with the radio before moving on. One thing I really love about this game is how you can shrink yourself (as well as enlarge, with some more effort). Like, it goes to show that it's not just other objects you're manipulating, but yourself as well.
Nice speed run this guy deserves more subs if you play a game this well knowing everything that means you have played the game a lot or you just watched tutorials

some parts in blackout are in complete darkness, so you need to look behind in order to line up correctly
