You have MORE than done her justice ! She is ready, with a few replacement gears, to give another century of good service. Turning, facing, threading, making pins, and shafts and bushings, you can use the headstock and the toolpost to hob gears..... With a lathe, you can do so many things ! When Maudsley invented the screw cutting lathe, he STARTED the Industrial Revolution ! As Adam Savage of MythBusters put it so eloquently, " If Civilization COLLAPSED, with a Lathe and a Mill, I could REBUILD IT ! "
Hallo, I believe I have also a Ehrlich lathe, that I am restoring, probabely from about 1915 - 1620. The gearbox is less evolueted, as the ratio between head stock and feed wheel gears have to be adjusted by manually exchanging tooth wheels. If you have written docs, I would be very interested! Vielen Danke,
Hey thanks for your comment, unfortunately I don't have any documents... :( I'm trying to find some myself, but I think you'd need to find some original manuals... If I can help you with any other specs I'd be glad to do so though!

This was an honest lathe restoration... 😁
