Keep the videos coming. You're one of the few channels I enjoy as you're not all click-baity and just get to the point. Well, aside from the bad jokes, but that's part of the reason I like your channel.
I have a jointer but I prefer using the tablesaw jig. Mine is ever so slightly more elaborate so I can clamp it to the fence and use the full height of the blade without the clamps interfering. Works great for bigger pieces of softwood like cedar. It's the best 5 minute jig I have ever made.
Nice jig, I've been using the router table to joint boards. The setup is a pain at times. This looks like a more slap it on and go! Easy on safety Dan, he's awesome.
Thank you. We miss doing videos, but this is just a hobby for us. It's not a full time job. So we do what we can, when we can. But we certainly appreciate everyone who supports us and watches.
There is something strangely familiar about this channel. I feel like I am watching a show from the late 80's or early 90's which I guess is the point. Not too active but I appreciate the nostalgia I am having lol. The quality of the actual footage is also hilarious.
Hello from Brasil. I dont speak english ( just a little little bit) but the images say. thanks for sharing. this will help me too much in the future. thanks , bye.
Chad, I noticed you have the same craftsman jointer I have. I just got mine (it's my first one) and don't think it is set up right. Maybe you could do a video on getting the tables co-planer and setting up the knives properly?
Hahahaha don't change, buddy. If you don't need one, don't buy one. I know you are old school. YOu don't need one of these here dumb fango machine thingy. :-)
What a great tip! I have lots of rough cut lumber that is too heavy for my joiner but this would work great and be easier to handle. What tooth count do you recommend, rip, fine etc..I think I am a 10 inch.
I've used that same method when I wanted to remove less that the width of my saw blade on my table saw from both sides of a board. That way I don't have to adjust the fence.
I did a version of this three weeks ago but I forgot to remove the riving knife. Finally got it right after a while. this could have helped me then. thanks Guys
Hey Chad, love the videos in the UK, especially Safety Dan.. where have you been mate? Great tip as I don't have a jointer, just one of those strange wooden things that SD can't find the plug socket for. I'm in the shop tomorrow and am going to have a go at that. Normally use the router table. Keep up the good work mate, cheesy dancing never goes out of fashion...😎😜
We don't mean to take such long breaks in-between videos. But we do this for fun and on our free time. It's not our full time job. (maybe one day) But we are truly thankful for the loyal fans and it means the world to us.
I'm glad you can get a chuckle out of us. I do enjoying teaching people in classes and such, but making people feel good is where the real joys in life are. Thanks for watching.
What if you want to joint a board when you haven't got a table saw, but you have got a jointer? Seriously, before I had my Planer/ Thicknesser, I made a router fence with a single thickness of Phenolic laminate bonded to the outfeed side past the cutter aperture. It works so well, I use it often for small projects when I'm just too lazy to haul my P/T out from under all the crap I cover it with, when it's not in use!
Another great tip and video, will defiantly have to try this....as always enjoyed watching and laughing. How the heck does Dan miss that melon....jk...jk...LOL
In front of the blade the wood is removed. Behind the blade the wood is flush with the saw. Watch it one more time i think you will understand. Thanks for the question.
Christ IsLord, I'm thinking: planer sled - bring one face to true, plane opposite side - 2 parallel sides, this jointer technique- 3 square, regular fence on table saw - four square.
Can't be that big of a curse if career politicians are fighting over it. They're certainly not trying to get the job to help this country. They have their own agendas.
Chad, why did you show us sliding the scrap board forward and away from the blade? Would you not just leave it in place after raising the blade into it?
No, you have to cut that away on the scrap board. When you push the work piece it sets against the waste part of the scrap board. Then the blade cuts the work piece. And as the work piece leaves the board it is flush again with the scrap board. If the blade was just raised into the scrap wood then the work piece would do nothing cuz the blade is flush. Does that make sense? It's harder to write than to film. :-)
OK, got it. Now I feel dumb for not having thought about this more before asking.By running the board through the rest of the way, you were reducing the infeed-end of the scrap down to a uniform width. Makes perfect sense. Thanks.
CHAD, THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. I TEND TO SIMPLY PUSH MY BOARD THROUGH THE SAW USING THE FENCE AS IS,. THE WASTE IS TO THE OUTSIDE OF THE BLADE. IS ONE TECHNIQUE BETTER THAN THE OTHER? THANKS DOC MEBANE NC.
That would work IF you had one edge of the board already flat. But what if both sides were rough cut? Then this method would be the way to flatten the rough edge. Thanks for asking.
your nickname sounds very strange in my ears, it's because "the big ...." is not used very often in my aria... sounds dorky. *no offence, it's just not common in my every day life and that makes it stand out even more. haha somehow i like the videos :)
I know who is a good match for voltron.......Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot. Now this was my favorite as a kid before G-Force was around! Take that Voltron! ruclips.net/video/UySpAN-7pa4/видео.html
I have watched thousands of woodworking videos but never before came across this ingenious trick! Thank you!
Keep the videos coming. You're one of the few channels I enjoy as you're not all click-baity and just get to the point. Well, aside from the bad jokes, but that's part of the reason I like your channel.

Nice to see you back at it on your own channel occasionally. =) thanks for what you guys do.
Thank you. We really enjoy doing this. It's just hard juggling everything. (Especially when Safety thinks he can juggle, but can't)
Is he doing it somewhere else as well?
***** yes Chad is hosting I Can Do That Videos for Popular Woodworking
I imagine you being the grumpy and Safety Dan being the funny one in the "real world". Great videos, thanks!
The world may never know.......:-) Thanks for watching!
Chad, you guys crack me up, glad you came back to YT for a minute. I'll be traveling out that way in the near future, gunna stop by!
Sounds good. looking forward to it.
Your tips are always great but this will be the one is the one that i will be using most , Thanks
It's refreshing to see some levity in these woodworking vids. Very informative too, subbed!
you seem like a genuinely nice guy, Chad. Keeping being you and i wish you all the best in 2018.
Thank you so much. Usually i get a bunch of negative comments. So it's refreshing to get a nice one. Truly I appreciate it.
Nice jig, I've been using the router table to joint boards. The setup is a pain at times. This looks like a more slap it on and go! Easy on safety Dan, he's awesome.
Great technique Mr Stanton. Thanks for sharing.
Call me Chad. Or Big Chopperoo, whichever you prefer. :-) Thanks for watching.
I, for one, enjoy the corny jokes. Keep em coming!

Great tip and video. Where have you boys been missed your videos and the jokes have fun.
Thank you. We miss doing videos, but this is just a hobby for us. It's not a full time job. So we do what we can, when we can. But we certainly appreciate everyone who supports us and watches.
Excellent process and a funny video. Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work or jokes....
Great to see you guys again!
this video saved me about $400....THANK YOU
There is something strangely familiar about this channel. I feel like I am watching a show from the late 80's or early 90's which I guess is the point. Not too active but I appreciate the nostalgia I am having lol. The quality of the actual footage is also hilarious.
Looks like you have a pretty good time doing these. Nice to see
Good tip too.
Hello from Brasil. I dont speak english ( just a little little bit) but the images say. thanks for sharing. this will help me too much in the future. thanks , bye.

Love the videos, Safety Dan is the man
Clever and simple = good solution
well look who decided to throw his viewers a cookie.
I've got to try this man, I can't fathom how it works
Chad, I noticed you have the same craftsman jointer I have. I just got mine (it's my first one) and don't think it is set up right. Maybe you could do a video on getting the tables co-planer and setting up the knives properly?
I think No cigarettes and Beer Bottle On screen, your wood work is super .
Flipping brilliant!!! Thank you I’ll use this trick
never thought about the tablesaw being used like this. Great tip. Now to just buy a table saw :-)
Hahahaha don't change, buddy. If you don't need one, don't buy one. I know you are old school. YOu don't need one of these here dumb fango machine thingy. :-)
Good to see these again because not only is it educational but a laugh riot :)
What a great tip! I have lots of rough cut lumber that is too heavy for my joiner but this would work great and be easier to handle. What tooth count do you recommend, rip, fine etc..I think I am a 10 inch.

Thanks for the laughs.
Dude, Brilliant.. and we all know a safety Dan or a version of him. Haha
Thanks Wyatt. Yeah Safety is a trip. But he's my best friend. So he makes life entertaining. Thanks for watching
New video, yeah! And one on a question I needed help on. Thanks man!
Hey Chad, love the videos in the UK, especially Safety Dan.. where have you been mate? Great video. Thanks!!
That's pure genius, wow
Hey Chad and Dan, Well you guys got me to laugh again. Loved it. A AAA AND That is a great tip. Don't stay away so long.
We don't mean to take such long breaks in-between videos. But we do this for fun and on our free time. It's not our full time job. (maybe one day) But we are truly thankful for the loyal fans and it means the world to us.
Chad Stanton
Wait ! Not full time ? I bet your a pro.dance onstructor and Dan is a stand up comic !! : )
Liked the three stooges sound effect with the paper towels
Hahaha i love to goof around. Thanks Tim
Great Video Chad. Great Tip Loved the whole video. You Guy's Make me laugh....lol Thanks for sharing....
I'm glad you can get a chuckle out of us. I do enjoying teaching people in classes and such, but making people feel good is where the real joys in life are. Thanks for watching.
Safety Dan, keep on keepn' it real! -Nick
That's amazing . thanks guys
I love this tip. Thanks Chad.....oh yea, you too Safety Dan.
Hi Chad. Could you pleas build the up graded version of the mini work bench/benches. I want to see what you come up with before I build my own.
I did it already for the Popular Woodworking show "I Can Do That". It has a drawer. tool well, two vises and more. :-)
Excelente idea 2:12...saludos
Dan, is that plane also available with USB?
Thanks!
nice vid , i also enjoy the corny ness , have a good one choperoo and dan
That work better than my jointer. Using the table saw does away with any chance of snipe at the end of the board.
I’m dying. Nice job.
What if you want to joint a board when you haven't got a table saw, but you have got a jointer?

That's awesome! Same idea as this tip. Thanks for sharing.
Another great tip and video, will defiantly have to try this....as always enjoyed watching and laughing. How the heck does Dan miss that melon....jk...jk...LOL
If the blade is flush with the edge of the clamped board, how do you take anything off of the board you are passing through?
In front of the blade the wood is removed. Behind the blade the wood is flush with the saw. Watch it one more time i think you will understand. Thanks for the question.
The dorkiest guys on youtube... And i love it.
Woodworking takes practice, but being dorky come naturally for me. :-) Thanks for watching.
Depending on the size of the stock, you wont be able to plane all 4 sides, but its still a good idea
Christ IsLord, I'm thinking: planer sled - bring one face to true, plane opposite side - 2 parallel sides, this jointer technique- 3 square, regular fence on table saw - four square.
Wow, That is a great tip... so funny .
good job
Great tip, never seen that one on the table saw. Kinda like you would on the router table but not. ;-)
awesome!!! THe tip was far out too!!
I actually laughed at the jokes.. Great video.
Safety Dan shoulda ran for president... But I would never curse anyone with that job.
Can't be that big of a curse if career politicians are fighting over it. They're certainly not trying to get the job to help this country. They have their own agendas.
No! Dont murder electrons! Unplug and listen to the shavings peal off the board!
Thats my best hate mail......
Safety Dan forgot to tell us to put on our ear plugs and safety glasses, he's not doing his job
lol how that '' safety Dan'' could show us safety with a beer in his hand and a cigarette too lol...drunk guy are ready for accident no!
Chad, why did you show us sliding the scrap board forward and away from the blade? Would you not just leave it in place after raising the blade into it?
No, you have to cut that away on the scrap board. When you push the work piece it sets against the waste part of the scrap board. Then the blade cuts the work piece. I want Safety Dans Job xD

THANKS
DOC
MEBANE NC.

Is this even legal?
sadly I like the bad jokes
your nickname sounds very strange in my ears, it's because "the big ...." is not used very often in my aria... sounds dorky.
*no offence, it's just not common in my every day life and that makes it stand out even more. haha somehow i like the videos :)
Jointer not Planer LOL 0:30 - 0:42
LOVE the jokes
hilarious
voltron !!!!!!!!!
I would like to see the team of G-Force take on Voltron.
no way voltron wins !!!!!
I don't know, G-force is crafty.
I know who is a good match for voltron.......Johnny Sokko and his Flying Robot. Now this was my favorite as a kid before G-Force was around! Take that Voltron!
ruclips.net/video/UySpAN-7pa4/видео.html
Painfully awkward video...
Corny as always! In the best possible way.
🚬🍺🍻🚬🍻🍺🍺🍺🚬 😂✌️
Smoking and beer in a " how to video " with someone who would look better in a homeless shelter, not the best decision if you are trying to be funny
Get rid of the scruf smoking , not a good advert for kids!!!
Mike Darby I watch these videos for Safety Dan comments.
Mike Darby you must be fun at parties
Will Fisher well said.
mteske1....had me rolling in laughter ..you comment :)))
