  • No matter where you go or what course you pay for . If it doesn’t show my tools it’s not as good as one that does . I have over 5 to 10 times more experience than any new lvt course instructor based on portfolio and a career that’s way above any that any of the new breed of instructor can say even if they exaggerate.
Mawboards cost less than a training course but worth ten times more than any can offer .

    Hey up...
I'm a domestic carpet and vinyl fitter and just been diagnosed with arthritis in my shoulder.... So my hard work days are limited... Would you say getting into LVT would be easier than smashing down 100m² a day?

I can answer this, as someone who does both mate.
      Started at 17 I'm now 55.
It's honestly for me, swings and roundabouts.
Lifting a 5m by 5m lump of cormar sensations ultra up to a loft room, well it's a killer ...
But the full days of ripping out prep work, screeding, ply board, feathering it up, sanding it down with the buffer, making sure it's absolutely perfect like glass, and then setting up a field for herringbone, border or no borders, it's not easy.
I'm more vinyl/ lvt myself these days, but it's still graft mate..
And I'm sure our pal stu here will agree with me on the constant herringbone or the trickier basket weaves or french plats and so on..
      It's absolutely 50/50 for me...
      Literally no help that mate...sorry😂

@@antonytheolddog8626 Yeah, I forgot about the days of hard flooring prepping and waiting around for glue to go off and being on the same job for days.....
I'm just looking for options when I can't do the job anymore... But thank you for your input...I'll probably do what most Ex-fitters do and open up a shop...👍

Definitely less painful than carpets as you get older and less lifting , but harder on knees and back as you don’t move around as much as you do with cloth 👍carpet fitters make good lvt fitters , lvt fitters can not fit carpet for shit 👍

Well not our mate here stu, I've noticed he doesn't wear pads that much..
But I invested in a pair of pro knee..
