I’m so impressed with the new Dream Ella extra iconic dolls! Thank you so much to @OfficialDreamElla for sending these dolls for review. All opinions are still my own.

It's great to see the improvement in the face screenings on the full size dolls, although they still look a bit budget (which is fair). But, I'm blown away by the fashions! I can't believe they managed that much detail for the price point. The jackets look so good. My favorite overall outfit is the cherry print dress.
The mini is on another level! The face is so gorgeous and the colors are so fun! It's a bit odd to me that they have more articulated than the full size dolls though. I hope they carry some of those details through to the full size line.
Def articulation & fashion are improvements but I still don’t like the faces. It’d be interesting to compare extra iconic to a Barbie extra since there’s a $10 price difference def Barbie you get the pet & more accessories and I would say different body types and prettier faces. My fav in the Dream Ella minis is Aria she’s got really cute style but I don’t understand why she’s $16+ when the larger ones are $15 and the Ella 1 is like $13+ I think 🤔 🤦🏻♀️ the Ella mini I def see Jem vibes with her. My fav of the 3 larger extra iconic is also Aria her cherry 🍒 vibes and pink hair super cute. Excited for the premiere 😉
The minis are actually $13 I believe - there’s just third party sellers on amazon who made them more expensive

They should have made Yasmin the lead with the name Dream Ella and the whole series behind her. I might buy a Yasmine and put her on a made to move body. She is the prettiest and I love the jacket.
@@pamelot7040 yes Yasmin as the main star would have been cool yes transferring the head to a made to move body is a good idea. I really just want the dolls for the clothes & accessories so I’ll be waiting for sales. Out of the 3 though I do like Yasmin’s hair & face best. In the minis my fav of the 3 is Aria.
@@xCanadensis so bummed the large dolls don’t have elbow articulation I totally thought they did but for $15 I’m not surprised it’s too bad they couldn’t have included that like even with a little price increase like $20 would have probably been a little more competition for Barbie extra 🤷🏻♀️ I feel like if this line had inset eyes it’d better match the artwork I guess it’s almost a shame mga doesn’t just mesh Mermaze Mermaidz & DreamElla together and give us some more exciting dolls I feel like there’s pros & cons to both 🤔
What an improvement. I'd get all three of them if only for the clothes, but the new face printing looks much nicer. I really like the minis as well and especially want mini Aria. It's nice to see that the brand is getting better since the first wave of career and fairy dolls. Decent price too. I just ordered big Aria and mini Ella. I saw the dollhouse for a great price on Amazon back in the summer, it's still a good deal at $35. Tempting.
Still don’t love the dreamella face sculpt but these are so much better than the original releases. And the new minis are just perfection!

Wonderful improvements. Love the face screening and the articulation at the knee's. Very much a step in the right direction.
I'll get the first wave as well because I believe they are an important part of the overall fashion historical significance, but these new dolls are FANTASTIC!

These dolls have a bit of a retro feel, drawing fashion inspiration from past decades. As a middle-aged person, I like that and think it makes them more interesting. I’m not sure what they will end up costing in Canada, but there is an Amazon listing that makes them only $5 less than Barbie Extra. If I can get one on sale, though, I will likely pick one up. Also, I like the mini better than the Barbie version.
That mini doll is STUNNING!
The new screening is truly an update, love the outfit designs and quality, also love the price tag for said quality, it shows that some companies choose to be cheap and charge whatever. However wish they were named differently as to avoid the obvious plagiarizing issue, like DreamElla ‘She’s So Iconic’, or something… if they shrink the heads a little bit, narrow the jaw, make the cute facial features more proponents, give them fully articulated bodies, then perhaps other companies might have a bit of competition with these.

The improvement is remrkable! Their fashions are awesome too. The small Ella is lovely! I'd love to see the big versions with that facemold as well or at least with eyes painted like hers.
I'm definitely sold on these lovely dolls! I love that they're extra and colorful, and yet still very stylish and trendy! The attention to details on some of the clothing pieces are just phenomenal like the stitching, shape, and painted details! For the amazing price point, I can't complain! I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for these girls and hope to get all three when I can!!

I 100% agree with the face changes. the old ones, while okay, weren't my fav. I think dolls generally with bigger features (eyes, lips etc) make the dolls more interesting to look at.
The mini doll is super cute, I'm definitely going to have to get her!
I love the minis! I never liked the Barbie Extra mini's heads/faces and these look much better
I’m so glad that the fashion are amazing. However, I have a hard time with the faces.
This dolls are definitely a lot prettier and the glam up face makes a lot of improvement, the Fuller lips helps them to not have stiff smiles, and I love the outfit especially with that price I honestly would love to get this dolls!
Okay these dolls are really cute. Yasmine and the doll with the cherries dress I like the most. I'd probably get them on sale. Oh and the mini doll is gorgeous. Great review!

This is a budget line so it’s make a doll for lower income homes

Personally I don’t care about the dynamics between two companies… they’re not paying any of us. I just like dolls. And these are nice dolls. If they’re produced from a rivalry it ultimately changes nothing for the consumer- if anything it makes the products better
Not all families can afford $50-$90 CAD for a doll for their child...
I´m honestly blown away by these. I don´t collect dolls, but I might get the mini Aria. Just can´t get over them.

I do love the dream Bella line they have tho! And the second wave of the dream Ella fairies look very promising. Such an upgrade from the first wave.

You sold me lol. I bought the Aria doll you have here as I adore clothing with cherries on it and I bought her mini too. I have seen some at Walmart, the more basic ones while shopping for Rainbow High. These ones are all so cute, thanks for the detailed review, I enjoyed it so much.

I like the fashions & the articulation. I also really like the sculpt and the screenings of the minis. The teen DreamElla’s however I’m not a fan of the sculpt/screening still.
I think if the older versions had the mini face sculpt I’d be sold.

The art is great, however, it bothers me when the illustrations of a doll line don’t look like the dolls. It’s as if they know they didn’t do great sculpts and try to change the doll’s look with the art, which is silly. The dolls are pretty enough, why not illustrate them as they are?

I like the clothing of the big dolls more than on the Barbie Extras. I like mini more that I like the Barbie Extra minis. They just did it better than mattel!
You forgot to mention kanekalon that most older monster high, Barbie and Japanese dolls used but they stopped produced this hair type.
Ehh … definitely not most. Only some Monster High and only some of the older Barbie’s. It’s my fave hair type though! I don’t mention Kanekalon because it’s not manufactured anymore so it’s not relevant to bring up in the modern doll comparison
I have the Dr. Yasmin and love her I want all the DreamElla extras
They should have made Yasmin the lead with her name being Dream Ella. I think she’s the prettiest by far. Not so much a fan of this line though. I did get a Monster High G3 Cleo. I might get Draculaura so Cleo will have a friend. There are 3 or 4 older ones I want too, but I’m not going to go nutz with them like the other dolls in my collections.

Pretty sure they made them to compete with Barbie extra and mini extra. But I love them! Not a huge fan of the Barbie extra's because of the hollow plastic and the pets.

Saran is still used- Barbie and Bratz are still using it! It’s just that more affordable dolls generally don’t use Saran because it’s expensive
