    About TIME!!!!! A review after a period of time has passed. Sheets just aren't "heirloom" quality anymore. It's all marketing lingo, paid for ads that push the buyer towards certain products.

    I got the Brooklinen percale king size fitted sheet back in 2021 and I still love it. I suffer from eczema and I doesn’t irritate my skin it has a nice cool feel to it. It is very durable no pulling or ripping in the washer. Yes it is so expensive and wrinkles like crazy but the good out weight the bad

      @ABAtrading 9 месяцев назад

      Yeah same here. I found that the sheets wrinkle a lot less when I turn on the wrinkle prevent feature on my washer dryer. I know not all people may not have this but if you’re has something like it I would definitely use it as it seems to work with these forsuree

    I just got my first set of the percale sheets today. They’re in the washer as we speak. They definitely feel on the thin side so I’m optimistically cautious at the moment. I have a set of opalhouse percale sheets from target. They’re my favorite ever but the pattern faded and after only a few months, the fitted sheet is looking like it could rip soon. We have a split king and it’s so hard to find twin xl percale sheets! The 270 thread count from brooklinen was the best I could find that wasn’t way more expensive. I would definitely not consider these affordable. They’re on the lower end of the luxury spectrum. Lol I just want to sleep cool and comfortable and I want my sheets to last longer than a few months. It’s all I ask.

    I gotta say, about a year ago I got a set of queen cotton sheets (with pillowcases) from Tuesday Morning for fifty bucks. Best, most soft, smooth, durable sheets I've ever had. You can do what I did all day long. For a company with no storefronts that uses RUclipsrs for their advertising, the Brooklinen price point is high.

    I bought the percale bed sheets 3 years ago and they are still fine, but I don't reach for these much. they are paper thin, which is good for hot weather climates but they make a rustling noise that I don't like. I'd rather spend a little bit more and buy Riley's percale sheets or LL Bean sheets.

    Ha, ha, ha! A duvet cover for $200 (king) is a steal! Frette duvet covers START at around $1300 for a king and go up from there. I guess "expensive" is all relative. I use Christian Fischbacher at home and my duvet cover is a much more reasonable $400.

  • @timbr3104

    I both agree and disagree : I like the feel of Brooklinen Luxe Sheets, but I worry about durability -- these sheets are light! -- you literally get less fabric than you get from other brands within this price range (By about 4 to 6 ounces). E.g. My Lands End sheets took ~2 years to become great, while the Luxe were great on day 1 - but I paid more for the latter and I expect them to wear out first.
    I think it's possible to get sheets of the same quality for less money, or better quality sheets for more. Not sure if I've found the best brands, but I recommend Lands End and Company Store as better options.

      Thanks for watching! I would say it’s similar to most duvet covers I’ve tried (a bit of a pain to get on 🙃) but they do have ties in the corner to help keep everything in place which helps. Overall I think it’s pretty average difficulty.

    Calling this a sheet review when you didn't buy the sheets but just the duvet cover is a lie to your description. I bought the Targets Casa Luna linen sheets . The bottom sheet lasted 4 years before the middle of the bottom sheets got thread bare with washing everyweek and hang drying 😔. I am a seamstress and thought of making my own sheets and buy high quality linen for clothing at $17.54/ yard to make a top and bottom sheet and pillow cases it'd cost me $240 just in fabric (Id need 14 yards ) and $380 with labor and materials to make on the cheap sewing full tilt.

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  3 месяца назад

      Hmm ok...sorry to hear you think I'm lying 😢. I called this a sheets review because the duvet cover is made out of the exact same material as the sheets, and is in fact part of their sheets collection. I also use it as my sheets. I don't use a top sheet; I just wash the duvet cover, so it's against my skin like any other top sheet would be.
      Also, I have since purchased the matching fitted sheet over a year ago, and my thoughts mentioned in this review are still 100% the same (...probably since I was already using the sheets anyway 😉).

  • @Huebz

    After about a year, I decided that their sheets (and duvet cover) are simply not worth the money. Their percale sheets are stiffer and wrinkle more than others I've had (and since gotten) and they don't have deep pockets like sheets in this price range really should. The duvet insert quickly got lumpy, no matter what care methods were used. I ended up switching to a high-quality set from Target and honestly, they are much better sheets. I did find it interesting this is a review on their *sheets* when the reviewer does not actually own the *sheets*.

    • @MissSarahEK
      @MissSarahEK  7 месяцев назад +1

      Thanks for your comment! Sorry to hear you haven’t had a good experience. I own the pillow cases, duvet cover, and now the bottom sheet as well, which are all part of sheet set. The only thing I don’t have is the top sheet because I don’t use a top sheet in general. My opinion is exactly the same after trying out the bottom sheet as it was with the duvet cover (which I use as a top sheet) and pillow cases.
