this was unbelievably helpful in helping my understanding of how a heat pump works!! I was a bit iffy in my understanding of the processes as I read through my text book and Eric had a great way of really breaking down all the components and explaining their function. I really liked the diagrams of the inside of the unit.

Can you guys please review your standards for AC and mold inspections for the South? I feel like we should be demanding lab tests for most environments by standard, and not enpugh is done to ensure clean vents.

Is there any good reason why two different inspectors, both NACHI certified, missed the fact that two HVAC units were sharing the same return ducting? There was a giant 12" Flex duct connecting the two A/C units and both of them managed to miss that fact. The rear unit of our duplex was pulling 100% of it's return air from the front unit and no one caught this mistake. Insurance won't cover it because multiple inspectors missed it.
That's beyond the scope of a home inspection.
@@internachi Then why did the online coursework cover that scenario? If it’s a visual inspection, and you can visually see with zero obstruction that the return ductwork between two HVAC units is shared (which is not permitted), how is that beyond the scope? That response you just gave me immediately causes me to lose faith in the industry I just joined.
@@mrosenblatt It may be easier if Ben admits error, no biggie otherwise..?!
@@mrosenblatt thats really strange, most insurance companies I work with would require a licensed HVAC contractor to provide a report on something like that, not a home inspector. Every company is a little different
