Kokanee 2024 Watch the Finder -- Flaming Gorge

Don Allphin begins his search for kokanee salmon on flaming Gorge this week. He found nice schools of kokes from Sheep Creek to Anvil and shows how he trolls and jigs for early spring fish. Don uses Tackle from Christenson's Lakeshore tackle sold under the names, Ned's Bait Box, and Lakeshore Tackle. Don used Pout Bombs for jigging Kokanee in white, yellow glow, and pink, as well as P-Line Kokanators iin Chartreuse, Pink, and Orange. Don's line is Nanofil (discontinued), Vicious 10-pound Monofilament, and Sunline leader material. Don drives a Lund Fisherman 1875 rigged with a Mercury four stroke 150 hp motor, a 9.9 kicker, and a Minn Kota 36-volt Ulterra 72 inch shaft.
