I love Chigg's videos. He's the Champagne of RUclips. My favorite. Tannic acid is the active ingredient in the best anti-rust formulations on the maket. Put it on a rusty part and it darkens to a purple black. It's so good at stopping oxidation that they apply it to rusty guard rails in northern states. I bought a can of 3M spray to hit the rust spots on my car to slow it down. 33 bucks a can. I've never seen anything work like it.

Fresh lead is very soft and easily mailable with a hardness of 1.5 moh's. You can easily scratch lead with a fingernail. That white coating on old lead is Lead dioxide and it has a hardness of between 5 and 6 mohs. Hard enough to break your teeth or your fingernails that have a hardness of 2.5 mohs. Those bullets were much softer when they were new. A person can easily make teeth impressions in pure lead but not lead dioxide.
