I just saw an article the other day where a truck driver's brakes failed and his truck wrecked and killed several people. He received a sentence of 110 years simply because he missed the runaway ramp. Then you see stories of people like this who are allowed to walk the streets and murder person after person simply because the authorities wanted it that way. Society just doesn't make sense.

    • @penelopelopez8296
      @penelopelopez8296 2 года назад +10

That was an excessive sentence for that trucker, however, he could have done more to prevent that crash. His ten year sentence is more appropriate and I hope he serves every day of it because he could have done more but he didn’t.

@@penelopelopez8296 I see it this way. His brakes failed, he panicked, missed the runaway ramp, and crashed. This is more of an unfortunate accident than a crime. There are quite a few people nowadays literally getting away with running around with assault rifles and shooting people. It's all about how rich you are, and political support.

@@penelopelopez8296 I used to drive an 18 wheeler. There isn't any details but suppose he was brand new as I was going over them same moutains only the opposite way. I get the the top of the mountain. I'm pulling a 53 foot trailer loaded with 50,000 pounds of goods. I know damn well that I better down shift before I get to the top and if my RPM's get to high, I'm literally shit out of luck. He probably missed the down shift and pulled the jake brake and hit his brakes for 5 seconds then let off, 5 more seconds then let off. If the driver of the rig in question held those brakes down in a panic then he would've lost brakeing power. What I saw was him trying not to cause an accident or turn his rig over...it's too bad. I wish I knew more but 110 years was a shocking sentence. 10 years is much better...he'll get out in 4..I hope he goes to a place without a lot of violence..

So? Taking private $ while in public office is a criminal conflict of interest. That's the law in every Western nation.
Your statement is that of an infant, so terrified of an angry scowl from Nancy Pelosi that you'd _allow them to_ be violent & go unchallenged, just as you do now, with them telling us that they take private $ while in public office.
Are you waiting for them to arrest themselves? Or for their permission? Being a politician gives us total power to have them arrested: we know where they are.
Unfortunately, I can't find a single other person in any Western nation with a sack to even support me if I |_was_ stupid enough to try holding them accountable on my own.
So they keep breaking the law. & you all keep being afraid that they might just continue to *do* so, while doing nothing to stop them.

I'm often astounded by the contradictions in Western society. One of The Worst is the notion of community. We have none. We live in separate houses, apartments, don't grow our own food, make our own clothes.
Then we grow into adults not knowing how to relate to even our own parents & seek surrogates everywhere. & we don't _admit this_ to ourselves. But it's the root cause of everything.
Surrogates only represent things: even if the surrogate we chose to lay all our Blind Faith upon is or even *can be* the real thing we desire, we'll never see it, because surrogates are only surrogates because we only want surrogates, not reality.
The entire point of a surrogate is to help us _forget_ reality.
Not suffering from this need myself, it took me some large amount of reading in between the lines of social psychology to figure this out. Your psycho boyfriend could never have gotten away with being that in a village of 150 people or less.
*No one's* psycho bf could have.
A community that size would recognize the danger & dealt with it. But even more, the very isolation that these couples, or nuclear families create wouldn't have existed there anyway.
Individuals _need_ a community to contextualize themselves within. By making it family, then marriage leaves a whole lot lacking. And there (and this is key) *other options provided.*
The useless drunks in my local park aren't _all_ useless drunks. They weren't given a choice between working or that, they were given a choice between working 40 hours a week at things they hated or that. Your psycho bf wasn't give a choice of being a nice or bad bf, he had all the pressure of having to be a provider in a world of corporate rule or be considered a failure.
Many of these things don't happen in isolation. How the economy works, culture etc. Everyone in Western society acts as if what government doesn't hand them isn't possible & makes no attempts to improve anything that Daddy-Government doesn't allow. We want to act like infants because politicians are now surrogates.
There are about a hundred things communities could do to improve themselves & everything for everyone but now media is seen as our peers, politicians as parents, & everyone fears offending either or both. For women, this often means feeling we'll somehow let someone down for not sticking with the psycho men, the men turning psycho because of these pressures with no healthy outlets, & this cycle has been on repeat now for well over 100 years.
I can't get a single person in Western society to question their surrogate parents or any of their decisions in any real or meaningful ways. They're terrified of losing the surrogate *because* the surrogate is already only there to replace something they feel they've lost.
& so they won't risk losing the surrogate.

Where he picked up a huge duffle bag, which turned out to be cocaine. He asked me if I wanted to pave the road ahead with gold. After 2 months of dealing with him,he came at me one night tackled me into a wall. Where he shoves his gun right under my chin. He was foaming at the mouth insane and asked how I felt about dying? I only said "go ahead and pull the trigger if it will make you feel better frank". That changed this psycho's demeanor in a heart beat. And started laughing, In that moment I didn't know if I was dead or alive. But for what ever sick reason he liked my response and let me live. It was a great day when he was picked up for a parole violation. Prior to his release he had been doing time for 3 murders, however frank claimed 12. When his vacation ended his count stood at 16 he claimed. That man was Frank Gordon whom Eldredge Cleaver wrote about in his book "soul on ice" he claimed in this book that frank was the scariest cold blooded man he had ever met inside. I met Denis Allen when I was 18, I was taken to his house by a friend who was a sex worker.......I was a young punk rocker and had no idea who he was, he told me to give him my leather jacket, I told him "no fuck off", the room went quiet, then he laughed, handed my friend her drugs and she quickly got us out of there....then she told me who he was and that it could have ended badly for us...very badly. He is up until now the only man I have met that was truly frightening.
