I still remember my good friend, "homey," who had tragically died some years after I had gotten discharged from the military...And I had only found out after my sister had contacted me and told me of the circumstances, etc., regarding that...Still, he had always been a club DJ with all of the then latest music...and would have, most likely, made it as an accomplished DJ, turntable wizard, etc.... In fact, he gave me a 12" copy of this single way back before anyone, at least on the West Coast, had even heard, or had been privy to, this!!!!

This is an interesting video. It's like a lost Kano song since Stefano Pulga wrote this one. Edit: I was just looking on Billboard, and the song apparently charted at #44 on R&B in late 1981.
I'm canadian (Quebec province) and I have the 45 vinyl record of it on the label MATRA! I like that type of disco music particularily that tune "Funky BeBop" by Vin-Zee!... Great find! Thanks to share these gems to us!
It's almost the same bassline as Chic's "Good Times" . Disco emerged from funk,soul and some other musicstyles. My guess the videoclip was made for "Hit Ring"(Belgium) at the "Rio Club"in Sint-Katelijne, Waver.

For those interested , I researched this video and after tracing I contacted the then current owner who told me the Belgium Broadcaster often used the club to shoot videos. This footage and it was taken at the 'Rio Club' Sint-Katelijne, Wavre in Belgium. It developed from partyhal in 1913 into a club.
