It's like a throwback to those hard games that kill you and take your pennies at arcades. Asteroids. super hard bosses.

It really shouldn't be some kind of controversial phenomenon. There shouldn't be any agenda behind it. Create a fun game, and allow the player to play as a character with a cute and/or attractive (visually appealing overall) design.

Sybil seems like a jackalope to me. Essentially a rabbit with antlers, though the tail is definitely a goat tail. Either way, both are known for their jumping abilities.

with the map update came time trials and you get nice costumes for completing them, one of them is a sleeveless turtleneck sweater with big pants and it's very stylish

The “give Sybil pants” option in accessibility options is a jab at Twitch, that has a “no pants” rule and it applies to ANY humanoid character, regardless of whether they’re actually human or not

I mean sometimes you literally can't get past sections that way and spend an hour on impossible jumps but win some lose some.

I adored Pseudoregalia the second I played it, music goes hard, platforming is fun and rewarding, and it's always a treat to replay it and learn new shortcuts after getting upgrades sooner and sooner...also Sybil's dump truck is immaculate. 100/100 character design, genuinely (this is funny, since I almost always end up choosing a different outfit than her usual no pants outfit, originally I would use Professional then switch to Sol Sister after the update)
Furry and horni jokes aside, it's actually a pretty neat game.
Honestly hoping to see more from the developer in the future

Getting lost after an hour of wandering was my experience with the game, too

I never did. I enjoyed the intended 20 fps feeling. Felt more authentic. Glad they let you have full reign over those options.

I played the demo a lot when I was bored in class (and had finished my work) and I hurt my hands a lot because I kept accidentally sequence breaking the game because I would get to areas you need the wallrun to get to, and then just brute force my way through without the wallrun because I didn't know it existed. I eventually realized something was fucked up, wandered around and eventually got the wallrun ability, and promptly facepalmed because I realized just hoe m7ch harder I made everything for myself.
Miyamoto redesigned Kystal from Star Fox to be sexier and that's how she stayed in the final release. So yeah, at least Miyamoto would like this!
I found a leotard outfit for Sybil, it bafflingly makes her seem more naked than wearing nothing at all.

This is hilarious, the first 5 minutes are straight up the exact same experience i had the first time. Even missing the map and being confused by black balls
Eddy selling me a game is something I didn't really think would happen on my lifetime.
I went in this game completely blind and loved it, I ended up going through like 90% of the game without ever getting the wall slide or slide jump because I abused high jump+wall kicks+back flips the backflips let me cheese so many obstacles by letting me reach an extra pixel
This looks pretty fun. It's like what Spark the Electric Jester is to Sonic levels in SA2, Pseudoregalia is to the Knuckles/Rouge levels. Kind of

As someone who has done a 100% speedrun of this game in just under an hour, this was both entertaining and painful to watch
My favorite product that came out of Pseudoregalia is Sybil being Klonoa's babysitter.
I have completed this game without a map. And got all upgrades plus, most secrets, and all movement upgrades. Was fun, took around 5 to 6 hours to do, wasn't trying to speed run this though.

Jokes aside, this game unironically looks so cool. I remember hearing something about how the dev was intending to keep adding onto it. Adding more places to explore, bosses to defeat, and build on the lore of everything, since it is kinda empty at the moment. I hope it flourishes, because it's really steeped in the ambiance and has solid gameplay, it just feels like (from what I've seen) that it needs a bit more actual objective and drive.
Though there is something to be said for being plopped into a world, never once knowing anything and just... exploring. Hell, imagine NEVER finding the map - as in the game not actually having one - that'd be a real twist... a mildly frustrating one, but taking away something players take for granted and expect can really turn the gameplay loop on its head. I'm not saying that this game needs to do that, but so many people seem to miss the map but still find the game strangely compelling.
Well, either they find the game compelling, or goat-waifu.

Not counting my copy of Undertale on switch. This was the best game I played this year. Just the sheer amount of nostalgia that is oozing from this game gave me the absolute best feeling I had from playing games in a long time.
Perfect furry lifeform, it has everything that my broken soul craves, thick rabbit with horns, it wasn't even 20 sec of the video, and I'm looking for the name in description. U can call me furrybrained, or gooner, but I really love rabbit girls, and I blame Disney for it.
