Hey I’m 22 and from Australia. My family has run a tree removal business since the 70s and I’m the first girl to ever work with them full time. Started out just feeding the chipper, then onto sawing up, then onto ropes and now I’ve just bought my own climbing gear (starting off slow, but I’m keen). Pretty encouraging to see another woman doing the same thing, good know they’re out there somewhere
That's awesome! Best of luck on your climbing adventure. There are FB groups like "women in trees" you can join to connect with a lot of female tree workers.
So brave of you to open up and share all your experiences, heart break and finding strength in adverse times. You bring joy and pleasure to all who view your content as well as really helpful information to those in the industry. I never knew you were a mother also! Your kids must be so proud of having a cool Mum who climbs trees, hardly a boring office job. Wishing you all best. Your Mum and Dad would be so proud of you 🥰❤🌈🌍🌳🌲✅😊 thanks for being awesome!!!!
This is a very touching story! Trust me your mom and dad are in heaven smiling down on you and your beautiful family! You are a definitely a inspiration to us all!
I know how it feels to lose both parents. When you enjoy your work it's not a bad day. Thanks for sharing your story. Take care and have a blessed weekend and be careful working. Looking forward to your next video.
I am very sorry for your loss. I lost my dad 13 years ago and it was devastating! I am glad you have found happiness in your career and family. I wish you only God's Blessings. Semper Fidelis Bruce.
Your life proves that you should follow your heart. It takes a strong person to give up their own life to care for another but it's something you'll never regret. You still retain your photography skills too. Keep following your heart and keep learning.
You are a strong person. Several would have crashed for good after loosing their parents and business...its like loosing all your references and reason to live. Fortunately you have two little kids to care for and be a model to and now a new career. And being outside in the woods every day is a blessing. It is good for the body and the soul. Your doing a great job! Thanks for sharing...I know the feeing of loosing your parents too young! Keep smiling they would be so proud.
Congratulations on finding a new career and getting to be outdoors. I’m sorry to hear about your parents. I’m sure they’re happy to see you’re a tree girl. I’m sure they enjoy watching you.

Such a sad and touching story. I’m glad your happy and live your job. You can tell be the great smile and dimples while telling your story. Your kids should be proud of you. Sorry for your loss.
That was a touching story.....I lost my mum with cancer in 2001 and my dad with heart disease in 2004...I kept on thinking my mum and dad would want me to move on ......and I started my landscape gardening business and love it.....so I always think my parents are watching me and makes me happy..
Thank you for sharing. I am on my sixth climb on our own property. Told my son and wife how awesome it is to see you, 1st girl that I have ever seen up in the tree with a chain saw. My son, Dad, why are you watching her? Son, there is always information that can be taken/share from each and every person and I am freaken impressed.
You should be extremely proud to have the grit to overcome that tragedy, look after your children, and Mom, and then forge ahead into a new path in life. Well done. I found your videos because I discovered the joy of chainsaws a year or so ago when I broke down and bought one for the cottage I aquired (which is a remote properrt and heated by wood-stove). I'm in software so sit behind a desk 5 days of the week, but I just love getting into the woods and running a saw for a few hours. I wish I could do it more. I've always enjoyed working with my hands. I hope you keep posting, I enjoy seeing your updates!
Now I know why that beautiful smile. I am honored to know u and have the upmost respect u now have a fan for life. I love everything I've seen and well keep watching till I'm caught up to now. Keep on being you!!❤❤
Thank you for telling your story, soo sorry for the loss of your parents so close together. Your are a wonderful person, very happy that things worked out well for you. Inspirational story, thanks again for sharing.
Hello from Kansas, USA. Congratulations on the two kids. They are wonderful. I have 6 and now 7 grandkids, the first of which is now getting married herself. So sorry to hear about your folks, colon cancer is a rough way to go. My first wife passed with an extremely aggressive cancer, and it is not pretty. Stay safe.
Have to say, this is the most 100% authentic and honest video I have ever seen on youtube. Just so impressed with your honesty and happy for you that this is working out for you and how you had to deal with mental health issues. Kudos.
Hey Félix, sorry for your loss. Yes, tree work has always fascinated me as well. Wishing I had got focused and became professional. But now I dable. Thank you for your videos and being real.
WOW, not at all the video I was expecting, such a sad and yet powerful story at the same time. Your strength is amazing, reminds me of my mother's story. Your children will be so proud of you looking back when they understand all that happened. And a +1 on loving tree work and forestry, I discovered it too late in life to make the move but really enjoy it as a hobby. Keep up the videos
This was very impressive. I enjoy your videos and am glad that you branched out into a non traditional field for a woman and are doing well. Thank you.
Oh Flex, you really don't look old enough to have run your own business, had two children, tragically lost both your parents, been depressed and re-trained in a new career, where you also teach old hands new tricks! Wow amazing, but of course so sad and hard for you. Thank you for explaining & for all you do to entertain and educate us. Really appreciate and I'm sure your children are proud of you (or will when they are old enough !).
Love this video. You turned such tragic events into an opportunity to do something you truly enjoy! You are setting such a great example for your own kids!!
So sorry to hear about your parents and difficult times. Working in the forest can be very therapeutic and am glad to see you smiling again. All the best from Oban, Scotland.
what an emotional video your so brave , so much has changed your life . I too stumbled in to tree work . almost 30 years later I still love it . glad you found your place in your life Joe from California USA ..
You set a great example for many young women that otherwise would never think of trying this line of work. I'm 66 and know my way around chainsaws and firewood because we have heated our home in Connecticut for 40 years, but climbing...not me! 20' up is my limit. I guess people are born with the ability to be able to do it, and you certainly are. You are inspiring!
This is a touching story of your life. I believe that most of your subscribers did not expect it. The main thing is that you started something, which inspires you, is not boring and gives you strength and meaning in your life..
So sorry you went through those painful times Im so glad you found something that makes you happy You have a beautiful smile and thank you for sharing your videos
How very brave of you to put your life out there, keep up the good work ,you have chosen the right trade to be in it will keep you busy and happy at the same time
I’m an engineer in the IT field and an amateur photographer for some time now... but I have been taking care of our vineyards and olive orchards... forests, love chainsaws and other tools... your story is quite an inspiration, I wish more girls went your way and hope some appreciate the great work you do. Keep it up. Subed. Greetings from Herzegovina.
Excellent video. Glad to know about you. Not an easy life, but you got throught it & found something you love to do, because of it. Good for you and your kids!
Oh girl, I’m so sorry about your folks. You only get one set of parents! I’m so glad you found your way through all the grief. YOU NEED TO GET REGULAR CHECK UPS WITH YOUR DOCTOR! I wish the best for you and your children. We are behind you out here! I definitely enjoy your videos Indiana Jones
Sorry for your loss and as far as the kids are concerned they can say they have a cool mom that is a female lumberjack. Good luck young lady and be safe.
This is very interesting , I’m too old to climb trees (64) but I have several chain saws , I’m trying to start a side bundle wood business, I’m a machinist by trade , but I’ve found your utube channel very informative & helpful , I work on my saws myself , I’m also partial to stihl , but Thankyou for sharing your life w/ us , May God Bless, I am now a subscriber
Thank you for sharing enjoy hearing your story....makes me feel like I don't have anything to bit h around....god bless and may continue to be blessed....Shoe in Oregon...USA
Brutally frank, open and honest! Not many people can share their pain and be that open. Glad you have found new joy in life! Your parents would be proud. I'm a pro gardener but in winter help out my tree surgeon friend. It is enjoyable and physically rewarding! However, its very demanding. Not for all. Enjoying your videos. Going to buy an 026 i think? Can't get parts for my Solo😟 anymore! Couldn't justify buying a new 261 etc. Have a great 2021.
Such a beautiful story... Not at all what I expected, wow, assumed that you came from a family of Arborists! Amazing, you're so talented, such an inspirational story. Absolutely love your videos...
My heart goes out to you for your sad losses, you are a brave and wonderfull woman with a lot of mental and physical strength which will hopefully transfer onto your kids.Keep your chain sharp, love to you and your channel, Donnie xx
When you love your job... It's like breathing fresh air everytime!!! Success is written all over your face!!! I do logging and sawmilling on smaller scale in QC. Canada. You have to love it to stay in it!!! Best of luck to you and your family!
Ambition has two defining definitions... Character and integrity. You have an excellent character and your integrity for the tree industry is magnificent. Continue to strive for the goal of perfection. Be blessed
My father died in my arms from a massive heart attack and I took care of my Mom when she had renal failure till she passed. As with you, this threw a curveball in my life changing it forever. Good for you to discover more to life.
Very heart felt history Tree Girl. Glad God opened up a desire in yourself to move forward. Even though our loved ones are never forgotten. Cutting trees takes a passion. IMHO Sounds as if you have that passion. Be safe. Keep up the great videos.
So that's why you started forestry, it's so good to see that you've found your way now 💚❤ I have experienced cancer with 2 of my children where life was completely turned upside down and there have been a lot of sorrows that have left their mark, I know exactly how it feels when something like this happens. But I experience that when something is taken away, something else will fill its place as long as you keep the hope and meeting the day with positivity as you do. You are an inspiration with your positivity and nice personality, wish you good luck🙏🌲
thank you for sharing your story as hard as it may be to tell it and you do have my deepest sympathies on losing your parents be safe and have a blessed weekend
Found your channel recently while looking for more firewood and tree cutting videos. I retired early only to lose both of my parents to cancer shortly afterwards. You never get over losing them but you live on without regret knowing you were there for them when they needed you most. They would be proud of you and happy to know you've found a career doing something you enjoy.
Very awesome story, thanks for sharing with all of your subscribers. I personally find comfort and peace in the woods caring for 110 acres of a kids youth camp that was partially burned in a 3.5 square mile fire 10 years ago. With no where near the funds they needed to clean everything up I’ve just been going to work at it little by little. Lots of times I feel exhausted but other times I find peace in the trees when my world is turned upside down. I work in a hospital doing IT work which during Covid-19 has been stressful, when I find myself getting overwhelmed I go do tree work or go play disc golf which is also usually on a course surrounded by trees. It helps to get away and here the sound of the wind through the leaves or through the pine needles. Especially in the pine forests of some of my neighboring states the sound of the wind through the pines is like the sound of an ocean in a land locked state. It’s soothing and gives me peace deep within my soul. Maybe you climb high and safe and find peace within the trees.
Very touching story. Love your humility. There is something really magical about tree work. I still can't quite explain my own relationship with it, as I love nature and value trees as 'life' and feel sad at all the deforestation in the world, but I still love chainsaw and axe work. It makes me feel alive. I still miss my mother so much. She passed end Jan, and was the person in the world I was closest to, and her last 18 months of breast cancer, she was in a lot of pain, which was heartbreaking........then we lost my wife"s dad to liver cancer in April, , whom I also adored. Oh life, you certainly know how to press our buttons. So glad you came through it all O.k. and ended up finding something that you love. Being a parent is wonderful, and what could be better than dancing around in a tree. 😁
That was a very touching video, and it looked like you had a difficult time getting through parts of it. I would have too. So sorry to hear about your mom and dad,I've lost my dad also and that even shook me pretty hard, life feels different after. Thank you for opening your heart like you did, to me that just makes you a real person to me, not just a pretty face on RUclips now. Stay strong and hug your kids often as they are precious and need their wonderful mom! Huge hugs❤️ from western 🇨🇦
My condolences for your losses, you have a lot of grit hanging in there taking care of your kids and sacrificing your time for your mum. I also found my smile again becoming an arborist after a few hard years in my life. I always love watching your videos, so well done and informative! Stay safe out there and keep up the good work you're awesome!
Thanks for sharing so much of yourself. Life sure does shape you and challenge you. I enjoy your videos and your positive attitude. All the best. Richard in Connecticut
You're a tough soul. Through much adversity, you've become something not only others, but your kids can look up to. Something to be very proud of.More people should enjoy what they do. God Bless you and your family. I'm watching because I love chainsaws and tree cutting. Never climbed before, other than many ladders. Jonesered and Husky preferred. Sthils are probably great. I'm just not overly familiar with them. Enjoying the vids. Thanks.
It takes courage and a state of mind to get yourself going again. Using the chances provided is another thing. One is blessed I think in 2 ways. Character and that chance coming by; Werther it is by help from friends or coincidence. Your parents might not have been that technical but surely raised you with backbone. The point of not wanting to go any more I am sure a lot of us meet. Raising from the ashes is quite something and trust me, I know. Pass on the blessing, and be good for the trees ;) Kudos!
So sorry for your loss. Thanks you for sharing your story, hopefully it will help others who are in similar situations to get out and find their passion. There is nothing like learning something new everyday combined with hard physical work to give you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.
At the beginning of this, I had to grab a box of tissues to catch my tears. Later, when I saw your smile, I knew you'd be OK. I'm just an amateur, and just started at age 67. I always feel great after a few hours of tree work. Love the creaks & crashes when the tree falls. Funny story, I remember asking Santa Claus for a chainsaw when I was 4 years old! (Didn't get one 😕)
Your a very honest real person. I have to admire that. Deepest condolences on your losses. I couldn't imagine how much you've gone through. Its incredibly inspiring how far you've come from such traumatic life experiences. Very inspirational. You may be the sole reason I take grip of career in tree care. I thank you and please never stop being you. You rock!! Cheers - Mac
I'm happy for you getting off the couch, And good for you deciding to move on with your life and finding joy. I love the woods. I wish you and your children well!
So very sorry to hear of the cruel way you lost your parents too soon. Absolutely fantastic that you have found a career that brings you so much happiness. Well done and great video 😀
My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I’m sure your parents are damn proud of you looking down and your doing one heck of a job doing what your doing. Godspeed and keep it up chicky!!!
Sorry for your loss and glad you found a new spark in life. Love your videos and I know how you feel doing this work I've been doing trees since 1985 and still love it. Keep those videos coming
I also have lost both parents and owned my own barber shop. When you love your parents so much losing them is very tough. However, time does heal wounds a bit and believe it or not, they are still with you daily. You are very strong and courageous for sharing your story !! I was in a similar situation but l leaned heavily on my beautiful children and little do they know, they have helped me through all the tough times as well. I'm very happy you found yourself and are excelling st it happily. You are blessed ! Keep on rocking it. 💪
This really touched me, and I appreciate your sharing with us. It has helped motivate me to get out of bed and spend time in a tree. Like, now. See you later!

Thank you
Touching story, nice of you sharing it with us. Keep your goals high and enjoy like now🙂
Thank you
Wow.. That must have been one hell of a ride to hang on to. I love your videos. Thank you for your openness
Thank you
Found your channel recently while looking for more firewood and tree cutting videos. I retired early only to lose both of my parents to cancer shortly afterwards. You never get over losing them but you live on without regret knowing you were there for them when they needed you most. They would be proud of you and happy to know you've found a career doing something you enjoy.
So sorry about your loss. No it’s not something you get over it’s something you learn to live with.
Thank you
Amazing woman and for the sad and hard times wish you a big hug
Thanks
Been there so very sorry. It’s great to find something to pull out of depressing. Situation. Thanks for videos
Thank you
My condolences.
Very inspiring story. Interesting how the hardest of times often bring the greatest of changes. Keep on!
Thank you
My condolences for your losses, you have a lot of grit hanging in there taking care of your kids and sacrificing your time for your mum. I also found my smile again becoming an arborist after a few hard years in my life. I always love watching your videos, so well done and informative! Stay safe out there and keep up the good work you're awesome!
Thank you 🤗
Thanks for sharing so much of yourself. Life sure does shape you and challenge you. I enjoy your videos and your positive attitude. All the best. Richard in Connecticut
Thank you
You're a tough soul. Thanks.
Thank you
You’re An Awesome Person. Adversity Makes You Stronger.
Thank you very much
So sorry for your loss. Thanks you for sharing your story, hopefully it will help others who are in similar situations to get out and find their passion. There is nothing like learning something new everyday combined with hard physical work to give you a sense of accomplishment and satisfaction.

Well said sorry for your loss , But I am happy for you and where the forest has taken you , just keep the smile alive. Cheers Bob
Thank you very much for sharing you're journey and I believe what I hear and see because you are a very genuine person.
Thank you

I also have lost both parents and owned my own barber shop. When you love your parents so much losing them is very tough. However, time does heal wounds a bit and believe it or not, they are still with you daily. You are very strong and courageous for sharing your story !!
