The Legendary Tamiya Grasshopper takes on the mighty Tamiya Wild One.
The Wild One goes in as our favourite to win but can Team Grasshopper bring an upset?
Three stages each with three laps on ad hoc stages -The fastest overall time over the three stages .....wins!
For anyone who cares i’ve added a league table to keep track of results .
Points awarded thus :
1st place - 9pts
2nd place - 4pts
3rd place - 1pt ( if applicable)
Please note - These races are by no means definitive and just for fun!

Hi Dom, gotta say the writing was on the wall but I'm surprised by just how much quicker the WO was on the track! Poor Grasshopper, at least it's still a Legend! :D

Oh yeah it was always going to be the Wild One out of these two. Like you say, better suspension and grippier tyres. Can't remember if I voted but I would have gone Lunchbox as I recon that would be closer. Great vid mate 😁👍👍

For the same top end, this shows how bad the Grasshopper handles over the Wild One.
i had to really feather it around so it’s hard to hit it’s top speed incase it does something random 😂

not yet mate and i agree the cones were better and will use them in the future . didn’t realise until i got back you couldn’t really see these cones
You can't get more retro than these two mate,great pairing.....
And yes,I voted for the wild one.
But ,I'm not guna lie,I'm actually suprised that it wasn't closer.....
We all know what a dark horse the hopper is.
But this test clearly demonstrates the advantage of the wild ones better suspension,tires and resultant handling.

Wow the Wild One is even more faster against the Grasshopper than I expected. I didn't think the gap would be that big. I would love to know how the Wild One compares with the Kyosho Tomahawk.
it’s quick tbe wild one even on this silver can . i did do a run against the turbo scorpion which is almost the same as the tomahawk and the TS was faster. But it’s something I certainly can do in the future 😊👍thanks for watching 😊👍
