after watching several hours of REM interviews now i'm more and more surprised that the interviewers always ask the same questions, which means the artists have to repeat the same answers over and over for decades. i can easily see how an artist could come off as rude or arrogant after seeing this. just a thought. thanks for the video.

I have noticed that also. I had looked up a lot of interviews from my idols and favorite bands and that is when I figured out they all ask the same questions. I thought to myself "no wonder artist (singers or actors/actress) get frustrated during interviews and hate it" I don't blame them. When I see the artist get asked the same questions I cringe.

And 5 months later that's exactly what happened to me. Artists they become bored, arrogant, sometimes they make fun out of the reporter, they give fake answers or they show their preference for certain reporters who are more creative and have more credibility.
Some interviews are ridiculous when you see that the reporter hasn't heard the band or doesn't even like the band and they start to ask random questions or just taken from a "standard music questions to ask while interviewing a rock band...for dummies". My favorite reporters are the ones who insist (no matter how much vanal and superficial they look) they've been there and they listen to rock and "don't judge by the looks" but it's so obvious they just listen to cheap FM R'N'B.

The world could use more REM these days. I wish they'd come back.
