I love the light touch and subtlety of colour in this painting. Nice composition too, the way the grass leads the eye towards the tree and the tree leads the eye to the sun rays.
Here's one I've confidence in doing. Similar to several I've already done. Not so sure sitting around and watching a storm roll in is high on my priorities. However, as it looks now, there's a while before natures less pleasant face bares down on us and doing it's worst. So soaking up the last moments of solace would be a must. What really pleases me about this one is that it's totally uncluttered, clear, and clean. Another top notch painting. TTFN.
Hi Graham, thank you so much. Lovely to hear from you, I hope you’re beginning to feel a little better and more like yourself once again. Take care and rest easy, my friend. 👍
Dear morgaine, I have witnessed a lot of these grey stormy skies lately where I live and this one looks full of snow !! I can really relate to this one 😃 You can get great results from using the tissue paper. Love the windswept tree and the natural way in which the grass grows!! 👍 Love it , thank you ☺️
Hi Susan, thank you so much! Now that you say it, I must agree with you; that sky certainly looks as though it’s promising a snowfall! Thank you for giving me another perspective. 😊💜
This painting is as beautiful as you promised! I watched with the intent of learning a new technique for skies. I am just as fascinated, however, with the angles created by your foreground and Maddie ground. I ended up learning a lot more than I thought. Thank you for posting and continuing to inspire us. I’m going to use the co-op blue and Davidson‘s gray that I purchased from your Etsy shop to try this. 🖌🎨🙏💙🌵🌵🌵
Thank you so much, I’m so chuffed you learned from this one! I must say, painting it was a learning curve for me too, so I’m glad we shared that! 😁I’m also thrilled that you’re enjoying the hand-made paints. Thank you again for purchasing! 💕💕😁🎨
It seems the composition of the painting is fighting on all sides, the tree is pointing the opposite way to the sunlight rays and the grass in the foreground is pointing against the direction of the tree. It comes across somewhat confusing, but a good effort never the less.
