What I really like about this tutorial is that it teaches using the three primary colors to mix grey and other various in the painting, it helps to get a sense of color mixing for beginner.
Such a beautiful piece of artwork. I came across you by chance on youTube. You are an exceptional art tutor. One of the best on youTube. Thank you for the great and simple step-by-step tutorial and explanation. I am definitely going to try painting this 🥰
As usual beautiful work and great teaching. .you are the only one who has reference pic visible and this helps enormously with acheiving the result you want
Thank you for another beautiful tutorial! I love your way of teaching! So encouraging and you make it do able! Love this one and that you show we only need 3 basic colors to do all your colors!! Not 29 different ones! Thank you!
This is my first take on watching this presentation-I know I need to watch again. The nuances of your explanations in each step, by step, gave me insights into what I have been missing when I have tried to capture in similar scenes. Thank you so very much, Yong
May I suggest a key perspective-drawing point: Make a pencil dot where you imagine the center of the sun to be. (Note that it does not even need to been on the paper!) Make all rays point to that dot.
I can't wait to try this painting! I couldn't see exactly how you used the tooth brush using the masking tape.were you tapping the entire brush onto the paper?
Thank you so much, Yong Chen. You are an interesting and effective instructor! Not many teachers can achieve both skills simultaneously. I've watched MANY videos on this topic and found you by accident three days ago. I now have a new teacher! YOU. I love your painting and teaching style. I just ordered your brushes and I am thrilled! Keep these wonderful videos coming.
If my colors didn't blend like yours is that the paper? I have "watercolor" paper but recently learned watercolors are meant for cotton paper- my paper doesn't specify its cotton content (Strathmore). I really enjoyed this tutorial! Thank you!
Helen what kind of staples and stapler did you use? I could not mange to staple my paper to the mdf board, the staples all got bent and distorted, would not go in, ruining the paper. Your board also seems light. It seems easy for you to just staple the paper for streching! Nice work!
Beautiful as usual.... Only the written captions hinder your presentation....e.g.your painting the water...and the the caption is down there covering what you are implementing ... otherwise very good work..thanks a lot....
