This video is one of the best crystal clear Embedded systems road map for beginners. A great applause to Yash bro and PlanetSkillzz team for bringing this wonderful initiation.
Hey Pranjal, I am Anurag an aspiring embedded software engineer, I have worked with AVR MCUs for 1 year and currently learning ARM Cortex M with STM32. I really want to make a career in embedded but I am starting to have some self doubt due to my degree, I have done BCA and currently doing MCA. I want to ask is my MCA degree will be a big hurdle if yes then how big, should I completely leave embedded. I really want some advice. Thank you.
Hi anurag, I can understand your concern and according to my limited understanding it will be difficult to enter directly into product based semiconductor companies or other big companies hiring for Embedded roles. But it will not be much difficult to get into startups or small companies hiring for similar roles. Join one of these -> get relevant experience (I am sure you'll get to learn more here than big companies), And then you can get into these bigger companies. To get into startups -> learn required skills -> build your online/offline network (most important) -> do projects. I wish you the best luck. If you really want to get into embedded systems you will!
I completed my embedded system course(BTech - EEE), but I have experience as a Maintenance engineer(1 year). How I can get a job in the embedded domain.
You can revise embedded course, work on a project on your own and add that in your resume. Though your previous work experience is irrelevant for the role, if your knowledge in embedded is good they will recruit.
Most important thing is hands-on practice, so if all resources like development boards, sensors and other peripherals are made available in online course also then it shouldn’t matter. Else offline would be better where you could get lab access.
