No, not necessarily, you can understand device level implementation of your digital project or add another project in analog domain or atleast cmos design / layout so that you can stress on device level electronics understanding.

Yes we agree that top colleges are preferred but there are many people in these companies from other colleges and from service based companies also.. So be positive, work hard it will take some time but surely you can reach there.. Don't poison your mindset with these negative thoughts..

@@PlanetSkillzz those who are in product base from other colleges they are not directly from bachelor's other then top colleges, and if they are from service base then have minimum 2-3 year experience atlest, and am not poisoning my mind , it's what I sufferd and experienced during my 1.4 year carrier In PD. Service base are just exploiting the fresh telent that's it. They are keeping people on bench more then 1 to 1.5 year sometime, and during this if they sufferd from anything just do layoff people. Now imaging person with more then 1 year don't having live project experience finding job for it. It's not easy really tough because now industry expect you to have atlest have some live project experience. And you can not even justify or by doing self projects for that you have to access of tools and somekind of good project like other domain and field can easily do. And if you don't match it they consider as fresher and offer you again a BOND service agreement 👍 Noiceee..

Digital CMOS design is sufficient if you are aiming for RTL design roles, digital logic circuits and hdl programming is a must for rtl frontend. For freshers generally recruitment in front end is for DV, RTL design and synthesis roles. For synthesis roles analog cmos and modelling is important.

EDA tool you can use the one your college provides license to. Else EDA playground is beat open source tool. Regarding project selection, you can go for design of any block, simple processor, ALU, memory, ARM protocols etc based on your interest

There is better opportunity and chance of getting placed in product based MNCs after MTech. But even without mtech if your basics are strong and you gave done relevant courses you can try. Working in service based companies for gaining experience is also an option

Decide if you want a core or software job. Network with people who have done it, learn from them, and proceed to, gain relevant skills and experience to enhance your chances. All the best!

For few companies you should have more than 70% throughout the academics.. but many companies don't have this criteria.

This is situational, if they role for which they are hiring suits your skills they might take you to next round
