Sam wrote this song during mandatory lockdowns during Covid, and I love the energy in an out from his head, voice to his chest voice. It’s amazing. And the lyrics are so perfect for the time that he wrote the song being mandatory locked into your own home and he made this video so others can spark a fire.

Thanks for doing this! He is one of the best singers (tecnically) of our time. I went to see him live, and he hits just every single note. I know music isn't all and only about hitting notes perfectly, but its still rare and very impressive. Oh, and as for the comment, that not a lot of ppl are watching your Sam reactions... i noticed that too. Shows me even more, that he is still very unknown despite him being one of the best. So videos like yours help "spread awareness". By the way, you should also check out James Arthur. He is doing his own music, but maybe, as an introduction start with his cover of "A thousand years" by Christina Perri.

Sam has been working for years but after many TikTok appearances was chosen to represent the UK in the Eurovision Song Contest. He actually came second but manily because most votes went to Ukraine, in support for them against the Russians. Otherewise I think he would have won. Brilliant voice, brilliant personality ,so much fun. Fought and Lost is great. He writes many of his songs, though his TikTok ones are mostly covers. Recently Dave Grohl invited him to sing Somebody to Love, with Queen and Foo Fighters at the Taylor Haawkins Tribute. You know you've arrived when that happens.

All Votes for Ukraine would have spread differently and since Spain got much higher public vote, the votes for Ukraine most probably would have gone to Spain, so he still wouldn’t have won. Don’t get me wrong, I would have loved to see him win, but to say, he didn’t win cause of the war, is not quite true. We will never find out anyway, but my guess is, Spain would have taken the trophy.
