      it seems in the 1st test, the starting temperature already hot in realme gt, i suspect that in competition mode, realme already increased the minimum clock speed of the cpu, higher than redmi n mi 11.
      since early temperature, no need for gpu being full clock cuz just showing antutu main screen.
      interesting part is on the 3rd n 4th test, realme gt did throttling the cpu, reduce the gpu clock, while redmi k40 pro, seems to reduce gpu clock more hence lower score on gpu side.
      if gpu oriented games, i believe realme gt dont have too much problem even the cpu is being throttled, but if playing games like nba2k20 which is cpu oriented, cuz many cpu control character, then it will suffer...
      but sd888 is hot, all devices internal temperature is hitting 56 degree in realme gt, 55 degree in redmi k40 pro, 53 degree in mi 11, at one point.
      u can see from internal temperature sensor from antutu.

    Mi 11 has a metal frame and gets hot indicating that the frame is part of the heatsync and by getting hot it is drawing heat away from the SOC. The plastic frames are making the glass screen and i guess back do all the work for heat dissipation.
    Static testing on the table is not how these phones are normally used for gaming. The Table top acts like an insulator for each of the phones. In normal use, the phones would be hand held, with hands drawing away some of the heat a bit like like a liquid cooler on each end of the phone and they are being moved around subjecting the bodies to a bit of air flow over the back and frame of the phone body which would help a bit with heat dissipation.
    It may be an interesting test to elevate one end of each phone off the table and use a small usb fan on the other end of the table pointed in the direction of the phones to create a bit of low speed airflow over each phone body and try the antutu test again. That may simulate real world use a little better

      @@nggw6792 mi 10 has 865 soc, not an 888 so has lower thermal loads that it has to dissipate.
      I am not suggesting that the thermal design in the Mi11 is flawless, clearly it is flawed.
      The 865 was made on TSMC 7nm node which is a really good efficient node. The 888 is made on Samsung's 5nm node. Maybe that node is just rubbish compared to tsmc or maybe it uses less voltage than was estimated before the chips were available to the phone maufacturers?
      Maybe the SOC is being given too much voltage that could be lowered with a new firmware update?

      Too soon to conclude that the 888 is a complete dud just yet. Give it an update or too before making the final judgement.
      Could be a voltage setting that is set a little too high and just needs a tweak.
      Going first does have its benefits in the publicity you get. The downside is that you also are the first one to encounter the bugs.

    • @nggw6792
      @nggw6792 3 года назад

      @@bradmorri i think it will not help, lower voltage = lower performance, lower performance make 888 close to 865, and qualcomm doesn't allow undervolt since 845 which is sad. Many are aware of this so using another app to measure and checking ambient temp with thermometer is the best approach I have found.

      If you are commenting this, you probably have a calculator.
      Realme GT > 742.000 - 101.000 = 641.000 (14% drop)
      Redmi K40 pro > 723.000 - 49.000 = 674.000 (7% drop)
      Mi 11 > 682.000 - 75.000 = 607.000 (11% drop)
      Numbers based on the first and the last test...

    Antutu baned ‘Realme GT’ due to faking antutu scores

  • @RandgriZ04
    @RandgriZ04 3 года назад

    Realme GT - Highest Antutu but in thermal Throttling dramatically affect the Score in long Run.
    K40 Pro - Average Performer but it can handle the Thermal Throttling much more stable than GT and Mi 11.
    Mi 11 - Have the lowest antutu benchmark, thermal Throttling affect it alot and the hottest phone. But in end of every test mi 11 the fastest cooling system in every test. Maybe Fancooler Pro can help it alot because of metal body.

    so the sd 888 really has a heating problem?

  • @diogocosta2832
    @diogocosta2832 3 года назад

    The Snapdragon 888 is not a good soc, produces so much heat that eventually the performance drops to last year 865. Also use to much power battery is poor and with all this heat batteries will need to be replaced faster.
    Qualcomm needs market competition but there's none so all android flagships have to use the 888.

    are we just gonna pretend we didnt saw mi11 has lowered screen brightness? please calibrate them carefully and lock the brightness level, else you have lesser heat from the screen. another thing, make sure you have the back of phone away from the table as most people hold phone while using and this is bad for phones thaf utilize the back panel as main heat dissipation method
