Yeah, I really want a test that target the competitive gamer. Because I don't think we really care about overly high graphic. What we need is super high fresh rate and long battery life. Only rich people that want to flex will ever use the throttle test.
@Marcio Cattini I'm pretty sure that the test was done with auto-brightness mode turned on to see if the throttling of the phone would affect the screens brightness of the phones. So if you turn off auto-brightness mode, the phones brightness should remain consistent.

People are big into their hardware intensive games, so I guess benchmarks are for them. Generally speaking a high score on Antutu does correlate with a phone that is capable of running graphically demanding and intensive games.
Thanks franku, your tests helped me decide on ordering the k40 pro over the OnePlus 9 which throttled to 600k in only the third antutu run on mrwhosetheboss's channel. A part of me thinks I should have got the k40 instead because it's way better value but I like having the top end soc when I upgrade phones.

Antutu throttling is not the only deciding factor. You'll rarely push your phone to such extremes. One plus is the best android device, look up to gamers and you'll know. Yeah, if pricing is a factor, you did great by Saving a lot here. But one plus is like apple of android, you pay the price for supreme which u will NVR get in these other brands.

The test is about throttling and not which one has the highest score. Only the difference between the first and last Antutu run is importent. So, for example, if the X3 Pro would have only a difference of 20K, it would have been the winner of the test.

Screen dimming isn't an issue for those who want to buy Poco F3, because who is really going to run benchmarks over 3 times one after another. Benchmarks push the phones to their absolute limits and you most likely won't even need about 25-40% of the score you'll get out of all these phones to run your favourite apps and games.

these benchmark scores are just numbers. they still sometimes lag doing daily use. Dont be sad if you cant afford those phones. eventually price will come down. for me still using redmi note 5 which i pick for rm 200 from my friend which is 1/3 of the original price it still gets miui 12 and im happy with it. considering you have a phone way worse than mine and basically rendered useless. i suggest you to pick phone with sd 600 series its cheap and you now get it at prices like rm 300 somewhere like redmi note 7 or mi 6x which of course used. Which ofcorse can last another 2-3 years . I hope this tip really helps out rather than you just stare at those phone and not not buying it (waste of time). also please support my channel

It can't be fixed as in totally removed since it's there to protect the amoled screen. Organic hate high temp. What they did is just to extend the time before it triggers so for example if you play longer sessions.
Even tho K40 Pro is one of the best phone for this quarter year. Sadly they didn't release K40 Pro globally. They might release K40 Pro globally after 6 months same as the Poco X3 Pro.

It dims so that it wont overheat and destroy the insides, but after 5 mns of not using it it'll come back, and maybe in ths next update of the phone they will fix the dimming issue
This could mean X3 Pro doesn't have as good dissipation as the other two. K40 battery dips more probably because the display stays bright while the F3 dims

K40 Pro is one of the best SD 888 chip, the performance is great, i like it, it's great device..... performance, design and display, only the camera is not so good but not bad either. Always love your content Frankie! ❤️
Not really a shock TBH, the SD860 is a refreshed SD855; the SD870 is a refreshed SD865 and the SD888 is the latest flagship. So the Antutu numbers seem in line. As for throttling, the 5nm SD888 should obviously throttle less as it is more efficient. Many SD888 phones released this year like the s21 line have had poor thermal management and disappointing optimisation and we know Samsung sucks at that so judging the SD888 on rushed badly designed (software and hardware phones) is harsh. It just looks like you should avoid the s21 line and wait for phones with the SD888 coming soon that the OEM has spent time perfecting. The OP9P seems to have had a new thermal design to stop throttling and we will see how that gets on. As for the throttling on the older chips, the 870 and 860, they marry up to the chips they derive from and POCO seem to have poor thermal management and maybe not well optimised.

Tbh if u put max brightness for a long time it drains a lot of battery like 20%per hour and also using 120hz and sd870 i bet it drains like water

yea F3 gone so dark lmfao i think the F3 got an update to throttle the cpu further to sustain brightness so the score is no longer that high now
Poco F3 dimmed a lot because it was a known issue when the F3 originally came out. It got fixed through a software update recently

its internal temperature checker is kinda off
