I heard that the "Instead of a mouth, it's got four arses." was inprovised by Ardal O'Hanlon and when he said it, Dermot and the audience burst out laughing and they needed to reshoot the scene.
20:50 and 21:53 Always cracks me up, that guy in the back proclaiming "Fuckin' hell." lol. Father Ted was a masterpiece, precisely because of little details added in like that.
I love looking back at these old episodes with you. Always see something funny I never noticed the time. You are definitely my favourite American reactions.
This ranks as one of the best farther ted episodes. It’s interesting watching this through different eyes. I’ve seen it many times, but just seems funnier every time
I haven't seen the DVD commentary, but I do have the unique ability to recognise the voices of people I've heard talk before. It is, indeed, Linehan. I know, I amaze myself sometimes too.
Can't believe it's nearly 25 years since this started.still so funny.for me this, Fawlty towers and rising damp are my favourites, open all hours and porridge too
Yep, this season is bangin'. I too was thinking that THIS was my favourite episode of all, but then you mentioned 'Night of the Nearly Dead', which is even better ...imho. Great reaction - such a treat.
You've come a long way Noah, from that first episode of FT where your over-literal American mind had you 'horrified face'd at the upturned wheelchair in the intro lol, good lad
Always remember this one for being the one where instead of feck, someone says... Well. It's said that Ardal O'Hanlon adlibbed that 'four arses' line because the original line wasn't funny enough. Also, in My Hero, which stars Ardal as superhero Thermoman, Peadar Lamb, who played Fargo here, appears in one episode as Thermoman's father.
The next episode you should react to is called competition time. The three priest's enter a lookalike competition they all go as elvis and the judge of the competition is called Henry sellers an ex bbc gameshow host who was sacked for being an Alcoholic very funny episode. Series 1 episode 4.
I just love Ted kicking himself at the end on realising that, by being the hero and solving the mystery, he's done himself out of a year's central heating!! 😂😂 That, the whole denouement scene, and Dougal's description of the beast are my favourite bits in the episode! Incidentally, the line "instead of a mouth it's got four arses" was Ardal O'Hanlon's own invention on the night of recording! Notice the audience is laughing so hard at it that Ted's actor has to pause before continuing the dialogue! 😂 I like the idea of doing "Night Of The Nearly Dead" in October for Halloween. Maybe Old Grey Whistle Theft for next month? Again though, I don't mind that much! Keep up the good work! 👍😂
The show is never long enough my American friend and I have never seen that episode, I thought I'd seen them all, time to check if I've missed any more ❤️👍love you and there's nothing you can do about it 😉platonically 👍
My favourite episode. *spoiler* The first time I saw it I couldn't breathe for laughing so much at Ted standing up with his face half covered in mud and the two fookin ell's.
Translation starting @ 16:55 Fargo: He’s the best feckin’ sheep ever. A little sheep-face. And you have to say, congratulations to you. Ted: Really? Great. Fargo: He only cost 23 pounds. 23. There’s some clause where I’d have to pay more, if his image is ever used on stamps. But still, a great bargain for such a happy sheep. In the next scene when Ted & Fargo are walking, Fargo is just speaking gibberish. BTW, I love your videos dude. I wish you’d do every single episode of Father Ted. And The IT Crowd too! Both of which were written by Graham Linehan.
did you know there was a petition to have Priest Dougal McGuire to become The Next Pope ( the last time they elected a new pope ) too bad he didn't get it. anyways ! there's one episode in season 1 i recall enjoying that had women in the title. with a book author that father ted enjoys. i recommend that episode too cover
The perfectly timed "f-in' 'ell" interjections and Dougal's description of 'The Beast' are the funniest highlights.
Daniele Iannarelli I think that might have been Graham Linehan out of shot - not sure but it does sound like him!
jen6879 100% his voice
AerodeonThorne yeah pretty sure it’s him!
Yeah he did it in the IT crowd too
Aye, definitely Glinner.
I know it's been said already but that "fuckin' hell" is absolutely legendary comedic timing.
You can tell it was directed by the same guy as Big Train ruclips.net/video/EtllWIiOTuA/видео.html
and i gurenfuckingtee thats Graham himself saying that line
I heard that the "Instead of a mouth, it's got four arses." was inprovised by Ardal O'Hanlon and when he said it, Dermot and the audience burst out laughing and they needed to reshoot the scene.
I like the crowd and the "fucking hell". As usually they say feck in this show. It's just so random and funny.
20:50 and 21:53 Always cracks me up, that guy in the back proclaiming "Fuckin' hell." lol. Father Ted was a masterpiece, precisely because of little details added in like that.
This episode is actually funnier than I remember it being
I love looking back at these old episodes with you. Always see something funny I never noticed the time. You are definitely my favourite American reactions.
Yeah I didn't find it that funny when it came out! Weird!
This ranks as one of the best farther ted episodes. It’s interesting watching this through different eyes. I’ve seen it many times, but just seems funnier every time
7:38 “HE DOESN’T WANT TO SEE ANYBODY FATHER” 😫 😂😂😂
I love how they put the sheep's name in the credits. :D
They left out Big Brendan from 1983. Now THAT was a sheep!
Greetings from Cork. You've been watching so many of these you sound Irish saying some phrases. I love the Fr Stone episode.
I'm mexican and I loooove Father Ted!!!! :-)
If you're doing any spooky themed reactions for October/Halloween, you could save Night of the Nearly Dead for then...
The "Fu**ing hell" at 20:51 made me spit out my drink....
She looks terrible doesn't she Dougal ? "Awful Ted"
I love the background “F***king hell”
Watching you lose your shit while Dougal describes The Beast is just about the best thing I've ever seen.
The mumbling followed by “Fucking Hell!” is hilarious.
You've brightened up my horrible day. Thank you so much for this.
The name of the episode is a reference to the 70's scottish band Middle Of The Road's song 'Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep'.. Oh the 70s lol
Last night I heard my mumma singin this song! Oooohhh eeeeee
@@greenman3464 Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep!
The guy that said 'Fucking hell' was Graham Linehan. I seem to remember him telling us that when he did the commentary for that episode on the DVD
I haven't seen the DVD commentary, but I do have the unique ability to recognise the voices of people I've heard talk before. It is, indeed, Linehan.
I know, I amaze myself sometimes too.
BBC Sound Effects albums - that takes me back! Yes, they did release these in real life and I still have a couple I'd bought in the '80s!
FUCKING HANDS DOWN MY FAVOURITE EPISODE OF FATHER TED!!
Passion of St Tibulus with Bishop Brennan "Down with this sort of thing" ...
Careful now.
🤣 Such happy memories of watching this episode with my dad.
"Fucking hell!" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you were to composite all of Dougle's descriptions of the beast, it would be a nightmare not even Lovecarft could conceive of.
This needs to be done weekly not monthly
No, they have to be savoured!
I cannot wait anymore
That was great, not least cuz I’ve somehow missed this episode till now, so double fun for me, thanks man.
Of course Mrs. Doyle has sheep tea in the cupboard. Why wouldn't she?
Who doesnt?
Hilarious episode of sheer silliness! Love it.
Possibly my second favourite episode after Speed 3 but night of the nearly dead is my third favourite episode its awesome
Can't believe it's nearly 25 years since this started.still so funny.for me this, Fawlty towers and rising damp are my favourites, open all hours and porridge too
Haha I knew you would enjoy the "f*king hell" part.
Lol I was waiting for it
I can just imagine how odd this was for the sheep
Yep, this season is bangin'. I too was thinking that THIS was my favourite episode of all, but then you mentioned 'Night of the Nearly Dead', which is even better ...imho.
Great reaction - such a treat.
Hi Noah, more proof, if any were needed, why I miss programs like this. Glad you enjoyed it too !!
I love you, man! This was great fun!! By my reckoning you owe me more Black Books!!!
As a comedy nerd, Father Ted is perfect! Do watch One Foot in the Grave before The Mainland-it's a funny show in it's own right, though.
You really should watch “Grant Unto Him Eternal Rest” don’t worry about title it’s very funny, very good 😃
Dougals reaction to realising Jack's still alive gets me everytime in that one particularly the 'ooo' as he goes down 😂
@@jabba7746 😂 made me jump the first time I saw it 🤣
`for some reason the presence of magnum pi was what always cracked me up on that chart
You've come a long way Noah, from that first episode of FT where your over-literal American mind had you 'horrified face'd at the upturned wheelchair in the intro lol, good lad
Crown jewel of the channel
Good work again. Fargo Boyle played by Peadar Lamb (somewhat ironic that he played a sheep farmer).
You haven't see The Passion of St Tibulus? Dude, you really need to.
Careful now!
Funny enough, the actor who plays Fargo is called "Peadar LAMB" hahahaha
Yeah exactly.
RIP Peadar
Episode’s title is a play on the 1971 hit Chirpy Chirpy Cheep Cheep - which is now stuck in my head 😉
Last night I heard my Mama singing a song-!
Flight into terror is also amazing
This was great choice, it all ways get me with sheep lol. Thank you for great laugh.
The sight of the sheep in the isolation tank made me laugh so hard XD
I never understand, personally, what people see in this episode. But even the poorer father Ted episodes are good ones. The show is a classic.
I love this episode the one I never saw the appeal in was night of the nearly dead.
I can't think of a single bad episode. Like always Sunny and Seinfeld, every single episode had something
@@Maxmorris12 I LOVE Night of the Nearly Dead. I guess it just goes to show that its all subjective!
The worst episode is the last episode of grant onto him eternal rest where jack dies . Only 2 bad episodes in whole series
Also Alan the Competition's host is the same guy who said "I hear you're a racist now Father!" in another episode.
"Premier Isolation Tank"...as if there is ever going to be another one. 😂
The next episode you should react to is called competition time. The three priest's enter a lookalike competition they all go as elvis and the judge of the competition is called Henry sellers an ex bbc gameshow host who was sacked for being an Alcoholic very funny episode. Series 1 episode 4.
Mate how have u not done “the old grey whistle theft “ it’s the best episode !!!!!
Another great reaction. Please do competition time from series 1 soon, easily one of the best episodes
I just love Ted kicking himself at the end on realising that, by being the hero and solving the mystery, he's done himself out of a year's central heating!! 😂😂 That, the whole denouement scene, and Dougal's description of the beast are my favourite bits in the episode! I was crying at four arses when I first saw it
The show is never long enough my American friend and I have never seen that episode, I thought I'd seen them all, time to check if I've missed any more ❤️👍love you and there's nothing you can do about it 😉platonically 👍
Night of the nearly dead is a hilarious episode
Fuckin hell absolutely cracks me up
"the little sheep fellow..."
I love the father ted series and your reactions are greattt but could you maybe do more inside no 9 ?
Thanks man keep it up
I requested this weeks ago, thank you
"THE AMAZING FATHER TED!" (God bless you and rest in peace brother)
When a 4:3 image is stretched to 16:9, it makes everyone look fat
I think you have to call them “people who are clammy even in winter “ plz don’t fat shame , my ears are not a toilet my friend
One of my favourite episodes
That 🐑 a great actor
Love your channel taffe keep up the good work and i think you should do the passion of saint tibulus
best part by far 'fucking hell'
The Old Grey Whistle Theft is worth a watch... And the Passion of St Tibulus is one of the best
Careful now
Love it when you upload Father Ted content.... Have you ever tried doing a Steptoe and Son reaction.
Yep, little over a year ago. ruclips.net/video/lQ7dtnw1sGU/видео.html
Who else reading this is panicking that a good victor meldrew reaction isn’t done by the time the victor episode is reacted to? Lol
I just said chirpy, chirpy, cheep peep to my Budgie as you said title. My Budgie is squawking badly.
Ah, Carrols cigarettes - lovely. Cough, wheeze, burp.
20:51 and 21:55 are what I said when Max Ehrich proposed to Demi Lovato (and they got engaged) despite having only been together for a few months.
I’m Welsh, and I could show you an easier way to terrorise sheep.... lol
What a great series
I love sheep. especially with good parsnip gravy, a bit of mint sauce, some veg and a glass of good old beer.
im usually drunk before I start whistling the end theme....
Ted's looks of determination when he says " Chris the unhappy sheep "
Passion of at Tibulus or the one with the raffle are my favorite you have not watched yet.
I recommend 'The Plague' as the episode to do after Night of the Nearly dead :)
If you could have your own milk float or your own sheep which would you pick (you're not allowed both!)?
Brilliant sheep impression 👍
Why are there so many elegantly dressed women at a King of the Sheep competition?
Agricultural women can be elegant too! ☺️
My favourite episode.
*spoiler*
The first time I saw it I couldn't breathe for laughing so much at Ted standing up with his face half covered in mud and the two fookin ell's.
I've seen this episode a million times since it first aired in telly. Never noticed the 'fuckin ell' before taffe pointed it out 🤦♂️
I don’t think that was supposed to be mud....
Taffe, react to the whistle theft ep, a classic
Fup off
20:51 "Fuckin' 'ell!" 😂
The writers are in this one and the plane one
I wish you could do two episodes per month!
Great episode - pity this upload had more adverts than content though!
Translation starting @ 16:55
Fargo:
He’s the best feckin’ sheep ever. A little sheep-face. And you have to say, congratulations to you.
Ted:
Really? Great.
Fargo:
He only cost 23 pounds.
The plan is to finish them, that's why I'm doing them monthly.
The Chris Montage 😂
Didn't he have a hit with 'The More I See You'?
Not to mention 'Corned Beef'!
Will you do the three elvis’s episode soon?
That's called competition time
Favourite series of yours! Is 316 a Stone Cold reference?
It is.
Everyone: panic
Terry in the corner : Fucking 'ell
did you know there was a petition to have Priest Dougal McGuire to become The Next Pope ( the last time they elected a new pope ) too bad he didn't get it. anyways ! there's one episode in season 1 i recall enjoying that had women in the title. with a book author that father ted enjoys. i recommend that episode too cover
Lol father ted was my childhood
See this ones ranked pretty low in my list, few laughs but don’t revisit it often compared to the others. Glad you enjoyed it though!
isn't king of the sheep 98 where undertaker killed mick foley?
"Fuckin hell!"
The Old Grey Whistle Theft next please!
