UPDATE: It appears to be just 1 guaranteed per week, I somehow got lucky the extra 4 times I did it over the last 3 weeks. This is something I forgot to do until the last few weeks, and it's something I wanted to post to remind people who are looking to finish off the weapon patterns. If you clear the Legend Dares of Eternity and get the 250k score pinnacle completed, you're guaranteed a red border weapon drop each week. As was outlined in the September 8 2022 TWAB: www.bungie.net/en/Explore/Detail/News/51759 The post says one per week, but the last few weeks I did it on all 3 characters and got a red border on each. That's a small enough sample size to only be anecdotal, but it seems likely that the pinnacle rewards a red border (feel free to tell me if it's not the case and I'll update) Outside of that, it's easy enough to solo these days as most classes have ways to survive or deal massive damage. You're also going to be able to get the Starhorse buff as there's no guessing on legend, so infinite heavy ammo will be available. The Crota one for this week is probably the most tricky of the 3, but the first two rounds are some of the easiest ones. The other boss fights will be easier to clear. You don't need to solo it to get the pinnacle complete either, but as this channel is mostly built around solo content, it makes the most sense to post the solo clear.
Have you tried silicon neroma adept for anti barrier? It sucks being 6 but it one shots in most I used it trying to solo glassway. Also with the new intrinsic perk stunning a champ it reloads the entire mag literally legendary arbelast

Learning how to throw grenades well was the best thing I carried over from Call of Duty MP. Luckily Destiny provides a good gameplay loop to get even better with, as long as you’re paying attention to it
It's phenomenal but actually it's also "just" practice. That's why it annoys me that they added non-optional autoaim for the healing grenades which screw with your grenade throw muscle memory.
I answered an LFG post and ran it. We cleared and got 2 bonus rounds. At end, fireteam leader booted us all. We reported the leader, yet, I will post from now on! Anyway, impressive as always! Staying on outside of Crota helps even in 6 man. You show us how it's done! VoidLock Master! Retraced any benefit from stability bump so I will try and get my last red border. Sword nerf kind of made those not so necessary anymore. Battler is well worth the grind!

Legend Dares of Eternity Crota w/ 10x Team Bonus Damage buff: Was able to kill 1 Crota in 13 heavy attacks so 1st (12 hits) Crota + 3 Crotas (13 Each) = 51 = 6,331,344 D1 Normal Crota's End: it takes 9 heavy attacks = 398,367 D1 Hard Mode Crota's End: it takes 15 heavy attacks = 3,029,505 D2 Crota's End: 9 Heavy Attacks to break shield = 150,000 Crota's health = 15,000,000
Not that Eso isn't an og at solo content but legend dares at this point should be easy for most people. Even solo you just need a decent load out and you can go to town unless you get lightning rounds then it gets a little rough
That would be cool, but I don't think it would be possible from a mathematical standpoint. It takes so much time capping the zones by your self, and you have to get multiple zones as well, add in the hijinks of being the only aggro source while stationed on one spot. Definitely would be the D2 challenge of the century though, imo.

Damn I just ran the quest and legend on an alt trying to see if I would get a weapon I didn’t have. I only need 2 more trace rifles and I’m done. Now I see it’s only 1 garanteed per week, I did get 2 this week on my first master clear tho.

I hope they bring the seraph weapons back as craftable variants with up to date perks, like the vy-7 could really use rampage+feeding frenzy. I mean it's 600rpm it won't be too strong in PVE (everyone prefers 900rpm or 750rpm in PVE anyway except some fans) and warmind cells aren't a thing anymore anyway. It would be like an arc enyo then.
You're forgetting that Lorely is automatically activated with no matter what you'll need some amount of kills with devour Lorely you do not you can go AFK and it works

@@abarekiller-le7hv Both subclasses work similar you use abilities get kills which give devour or restoration however the only main difference is that restoration doesn't require kills and it auto starts when you are low with Lorely with Filaments you have to make an decision to place your rift and then you need more kills to continue to keep it but Lorely with 100 resil makes your barricade come back in like 10 seconds which is so quick you can chain the Lorely sunspot forever without doing anything plus there is an ember which gives class ability back faster for scorching enemies which the sunspot can do
Invis hunter, if you lose the SH favour buff then it makes it a nightmare, and probably better to reset. But provided you keep those it should be doable with a little practice
how does the grenade launcher get more ammo? i'm running a void warlock on the free game with enigma and thunderlord, which is like a deathtrap trying to pump the max damage out of it. i sure wouldn't mind not running out of ammo.
Starhorse’s Favor gives you unlimited heavy ammo. You obtain it by doing the first jump correctly (to get the favor for the next room) and guessing the right plate in the room will give you the favor for the final room. Because Gjallahorn is a heavy rocket launcher, it benefits from this.
I quit playing dares when they didn't reset it at the beginning of Plunder. They took away my incentive and now they are trying to bribe us with red borders but bot many care about red borders. Crafting isn't worth the grind.
At 6:21 he takes the boost pad correctly and goes through the top part of the obstacle course to get the Stare horse favor buff which gives you unlimited heavy ammo. You can get the buff again if you pick the right door for the final encounter.
Starhorse's favor, which gives unlimited heavy ammo for doing the first jumping puzzle correctly, the second starhorse's favor is given when you guess the enemy type correctly at the boss which is Hive this week on Legend

I did the pinnacle challenge in other characters and it did not give a red border, if you get one it's just pure rng.

those uncanny grenade throws. Blinded and being hit from multiple enemies AND still lands a throw perfectly, unreal.

What subclass did you run this week for hunter? I'm not being able to damage the Taken boss in the third act enough to kill before the timer runs out.
I also died on the first try and lost SHFavor. Maybe I just need to start over and keep the unlimited gally shots
