RIP River Phoenix. So much talent lost at such a young age. He absolutely nailed his role in this film and even got Harrison Ford's terrible run down to a tee. Such a loss to the arts❤

Also, it's still my favorite Indiana Jones film. I've been a fan of Sean Connery since I was a kid and pairing him with Harrison Ford was cinematic gold for me.

And for his whole life, Indy saw his dad choosing the grail research over him, but at the end his dad chose saving him over saving the grail, and I always thought that was a powerful moment for Indy.
It’s also the first time his dad calls him Indiana.
One thing I noticed, maybe on my 100th time watching or whatever, are two lines toward the beginning and the end. When he was sketching in the grail diary in the beginning, he says "May he who illuminated this illuminate me." Seems like a nice, pondering line right? Good bit of wordsmithing.
But....At the end, when Indy asks him, "And what did you find, Dad?"
"Illumination."
He realized that he did find the Cup of Christ, but in that life quest, he found what really mattered- his relationship with Indy. Pretty powerful stuff actually
I love the scene in the catacombs where Elsa asks "What is this?" And Indy replies "The Ark of the Covenant." "Are you sure?" "Pretty sure". And then they play a bit of the score from Raiders of the Lost Ark. Just brilliant!
They have a reference to the Ark in every movie if you pay attention

George Lucas said famously that only James Bond( Sean Connery is the OG James Bond) could be Indiana Joneses father. What a fantastic movie and my personal favorite. Thanks for the reaction.

I love how Indy's father calls him Junior the entire movie, which Indy resents. And it's only at the very end when he's reaching for the grail when he finally calls him Indiana to get his attention from the grail. Hits me everytime...
The old knight is awesome. "He chose...poorly." -- one of the best lines.
The ultimate father and son story.
Before Sean Connery, RIP, was cast as Henry Jones, Sr, Sir Laurence Olivier was considered, but fell ill with Pneumonia and had to drop out. Gregory Peck (To Kill A Mockingbird) was considered for the part as well.
Olivier passed away on July 11, 1989, two months after its premiere.
The original script was going to have Indy battling ghosts in a haunted Scottish castle as the opening, but it was deemed too similar to Steven Spielberg's Poltergeist. Another draft had Indy battling the Monkey King over the mythical Fountain Of Youth.
It was then settled to have Indy and his father would fight the Nazis over The Holy Grail.
The film was a box office and critical success, making $474 million dollars ($927 million dollars today) against a $60 million dollar budget. It was the highest grossing movie of 1989.
It won the Oscar for Best Sound Editing.

Don’t forget that Indiana Jones was an idea proposed to Spielberg after he wished he could direct a James Bond movie. Casting Connery (the original James Bond) as Indy’s father was a nod to the inspiration for the character.

I'm so glad you watched this one. The actor who played Sallah in Raiders and this one is the actor who played Gimli in The Lord of the Rings. Of course, his father is played by Sean Connery, the original James Bond

I met him at a con, and during his Q&A someone asked him about the 4th movie and he pointed out that 'When adjusted for inflation, Raiders and Last Crusade have made the most money over Temple and Crystal skull.... so clearly Sallah is the key character.' (paraphrasing since it was a few years back) And here we are with a 5th one coming and they brought Sallah back. J R-D may be right. LOL.
For the all the wonderful effects in Lord of the Rings, for some reason how they made John Rhys-Davis convincingly be the size of dwarf always stuck with me. Don't forget he also voiced Treebeard!

Keeping the Lord of the Rings, Samwise (aka Sean Astin) is the overly excited goon who takes the cross off young Indy in the opening 1912 sequence. Small part here but great actor in LOTR trilogy
I always thought it was too bad that they didn't go with the idea in the earlier draft of the script that made it clear that the guy in the 1912 sequence at the start of the movie who gives Indy his hat was Abner Ravenwood, who in the first movie was mentioned as Marion's dad and Indy's mentor as an archaelogist/adventurer. In my head, that's exactly who that guy is, given how he behaves.
That would have been a great easter egg.
I kinda wish he was played by Tom Selleck, the original choice for Indy.
Holy cow, I didn’t know that! Definitely should’ve been mentioned in the movie. I always imagined that after the guy gives Indy his hat, he takes him on as an apprentice.
Our Local theater played all three of the trilogy recently, in fact we just watched this two days ago. We took our daughter who is fourteen, and my wife was the same age when she saw it for the first time on it’s original theatrical run. When you have something of quality, it’s handed down generationally.
In my opinion, this was the best of the series, which was amazing from beginning to end. I really liked all of them for different reasons, but this one is special.

The blimp is actually a zeppelin, or rigid airship. The famous one you are thinking of was the Hindenburg, which tragically started on fire while coming in for landing in 1937.
The movie itself is great, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. There are currently 4 Indiana Jones movies, with the fifth coming out in June. Harrison Ford has said it will be his last Indiana Jones movie. The fourth was made much later (2008) and includes a much older Indy. It has some good scenes, but it’s not nearly as good as the first three movies.
I have a lot of hope in the 5th one, based solely on Sallah being back. All the movies with Sallah are good so far, lol
It would be so cool to still have airships like zeppelins, but I understand the danger and inefficiency but they look really cool. Also, Indiana Jones is a trilogy for me, the others don’t exist in my mind lol
The rigid frame airship designation is "Dirigible", and "Zeppelin" was the last name of the founder of the German company that commercially produced them for Germany and before WW2 for international transport of passengers. They were produced for the war effort and the US Navy had US companies produce and they flew several of them before they were judged inefficient and generally unsafe in certain types of weather and most of the US fleet was destroyed in several highly publicized crashes and accidents after the Hindenburg incident in New York. The Germans had to use hydrogen to inflate their airships because the US would not sell them helium to use so the Hindenburg went up like a bomb when it caught fire. The top of the Empire State Building in New York city was originally designed as a landing mast for dirigibles for passengers to disembark after traveling across the Atlantic from Europe, because at the time airships were seen as the future of air travel until the accidents made the public fearful of using them.
@@gregzaffuto4507 Well said. Still, they look so cool and I can’t help but wonder if we could find a way to make them safe and more or less efficient enough for decent travel, provided enough money and time goes into R&D, which it never will as the costs don’t outweigh the benefits.
@@CChissel Modern rigid airships exist I have flown in one, check out Luftschiffbau Zeppelin GmbH. Modern airships are filled with nonflammable helium not hydrogen, have variable direction propellers, and avionics and are very safe. Think of a silent helicopter with no vibration...fantastic for photography. Also you are correct Indiana Jones....three and out. crystal skull was garbage and the dial of destiny looks like another attempt to "modernize"...read "kill" a classic character / franchise...skip!
That last shot of them riding off in the sunset was such a perfect conclusion to one of the greatest trilogy in history of cinema. 🤩
So perfect that they never should have made the awful Crystal Skull.

This is the best Indy movie ever, yes, no question.
I remember getting this on video cassette as a kid when McDonald’s from gave gifts from time to time as a promotion when you bought a meal. One of the gifts was this movie when my mom bought a meal. I watched this movie over and over and over. I’m not necessarily going to say this is better than the first, but it is very very close. RIP Sean Connery, the best James Bond ever!💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥

This is my favorite of the Indiana Jones movies. Such a good story. And Sean Connery was such a good actor. You guys should watch "The Hunt for Red October" and "The Untouchables".

Jay & Amber, it's not a blimp. A blimp is a soft bodied airship. In the movie, they have rigid bodied airships called zeppelins or dirigibles. Airships were a great way to fly overseas at the time. They were like passenger ships that sailed through the sky instead of the sea. The Hindenburg was the name of the famous zeppelin disaster on May 6, 1937, in Manchester Township, New Jersey.
The Hindenburg was huge! A real wonder of technology!

The unfortunate disaster at Lake Hurst in New Jersey was the ending of Zeppelins as commercial transport. Personally, I would have loved to be a passenger on one of those airships

Indiana Jones really was named after a dog - producer George Lucas’ Alaskan Malamute Indiana, who was also the inspiration for Chewbacca the Wookiee (Lucas once saw Indiana sitting in the passenger seat of a friend’s convertible as they drove away and that was the germ of the idea of a large furry animal as a co-pilot)!
And Indy's last name was originally Smith, but Spielberg didn't like it, so it was changed to Jones.
Based off of Rob's greatest fears, you truly need to watch Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds. Amazing reaction as always! You guys are the best couple!!!!
So glad you're enjoying the Indy films. There's only one more (so far): Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, which came out almost 20 years after this one. Some people don't like it, but I loved it. And if you watch it soon, you'll be ready for the 5th and final one, which opens in theaters June 30. I can't wait!

This one is very special to me. It was the first Indy I remember seeing with my parents and . . .
I lost my dad some years ago. And we had just started repairing what had been, for years, a very rocky relationship. So, the themes of this one really resonate for me and the scene on the cliff after the tank battle never fails to bring me to tears.
Hey guys. It's time to go back in time and begin the James Bond series. The 1st is "Dr. No" and its stars a young Sean Connery (the actor who played Indiana's father). Also, please continue with Alfred Hitchcock suspense films. You watched "Psycho" now continue with "Rear Window" or "North by Northwest" and especially "The Birds" - considering Rob's fear of birds.
The Birds will give Jay nightmares for sure! Don't make him watch that. 😬

E.T., Flight of the Navigator, the Explorers, Labyrinth, Princess Bride, Never Ending Story, Goonies, the original Narnia movies (the new ones are good too), Bill and Ted, Ferris Bueller, Adventures of Baron Munchausen, Little Monsters, Willow, Masters of the Universe, Stand By Me, Who Framed Roger Rabbit... and of course Indiana Jones, Back to the Future, Star Trek franchise, Rocky.
this is the indy film with the PERFECT balance of action, humor, and sincerity, all wrapped in the best story. ugh, love it so much
In that last moment, when Indy's father told him to let the Grail go, it told Indy that he meant more to his father than the Grail did, after all.
This is about as good as a movie can get, and was an amazing finale to the series at the time. I saw this 3 times in theaters when it was released, and I barely see movies one time, let alone three, so that speaks volumes to how great the Last Crusade was. And River Phoenix killed it as young Indy, sadly his career was cut short, but this was a highlight for sure.
This movie was so perfect. They should have stopped making them and let this be their ride off into the sunset moment.

This movie even gave Harrison Ford's very real chin scar an Indy backstory!
Did it during a carpentry accident. FYI I heard this from a trusted friend in the film industry who worked on Witness. Harrison Ford stayed in a home and he could see little jobs needed doing so he got his carpentry gear and in the evenings and off days he replaced all the kitchen cabinets which were in need of update. He built a shed in the back yard that the owners had bought but not put up. All for free.
After all these years it's still hard to believe that Sallah, played by John-Rhys Davies, also played Gimli in The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Sean Conner, Mr 007 himself!! What a great role for him as Indy's dad.Such a great actor! He also stars as King Arthur in the movie First Knight. So happy to see you all going back and finishing the series that you've started. Don't forget the Die Hard series ( you can stop after #4) and Rocky (you can stop after #3). I would also highly recommend the Hunger Games Trilogy. Great movies and the books are incredible too! It's a young adult dystopian series of 4 movies and 3 books. A 4th book has now been written and the 5th movie will be coming out later this year. It's a prequel.

The opening sequence of the movie was filmed in Arches National Park in Utah. I've visited this park and hiked in many of the places that you see in this sequence. It's my favorite place to go to on a weekend vacation.

The carving of the outside of that place that holds the grail is a real place called Petra. There's a bunch of other stone carvings in that valley. My friends just went there & it's amazing! The inside us just a set.

One thing I noticed about these older movies is how EASY it was to travel to other countries. And the history that was left to be explored.
As a child from the 80's I miss how easy travel used to be.
Those of us who grew up with Sean Connery's James Bond escaping impossible traps got a good laugh seeing Dr. Jones fumble with the escape and start a fire with the lighter.
Young Indy was played by River Phoenix... Who also played the level headed boy in the one with the 4 boys, the train trestle and the dead body.
Stand By Me is the film - great recommendation!
Julian Glover that plays Walter Donovan, he drinks the wrong cup and dies. I met him last year at a convention. First thing he said to me give me a hug. I gave him a hug and got a pic of us hugging. He was the kindest person to meet and talk to. He also did the voice of Agrog in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets
This is my favorite Indiana Jones movie. I love Sean Connery in this! Good story line, great action. This movie has everything!
The temple holding the Holy Grail in the movie is an actual historical structure carved out of rock in the country of Jordan called Petra. 1980s band Sisters of Mercy used it in a really cool music video called "Domination / Mother Russia" that you guys would love. Also, Sean Connery was the original OG James Bond. You should check out the classic Bond movies but I suggest reacting to the greatest James Bond theme song by Shirley Bassey on your music channel first "Goldfinger"

The structure itself isn't called Petra, it's called The Treasury. Petra is the name of the ancient city amongst the ruins of which the temple is just a small (but very famous) part.
The first part with River Phoenix was sort of a backdoor pilot for the "Young Indiana Jones Chronicles", which was a really good TV series.
I am partial to Raiders of the Lost Ark, but I love this one too. The dynamics between Sean Connery and Harrison Ford is so good in this movie.
Except that Raiders of the lost ark, Indiana Jones had absolutely nothing to do with the ending of the movie. With or without him, the Nazis would have died anyway. And the Ark of the Covenant didn't end up in the museum (where the Mossad would have stolen it by now and taken it to Israel) but rotted away in some warehouse...
The Blimp you were thinking of is actually a Zeppelin and it was called the Hindenburg which is actually where Led Zeppelin took their name :)
Edit: I stand corrected as others mentioned below, the Band name was not from, the Hindenburg just the album cover!

That's not where the band got their name. Though considering they used the burning Hindenburg on the cover of their first album, I can understand getting confused or thinking/hearing otherwise.
The name Led Zeppelin came from a discussion about the initial formation of the band, where someone suggested that the band would have as much success as a lead balloon. Jimmy Page later entertained the notion by naming the band after such a failing prospect, merely thinking it was funny. Sure, the crashing Hindenburg clearly reflects their name, but the name wasn't chosen as an homage to the Hindenburg; more the other way around.
The dog that was owned by the Jones family, that was George Lucas' own dog! Really handsome husky there! He was the inspiration of creating Chewbacca from Star Wars since he always had the dog in the front seat of his car, like a copilot ;)
The last Indiana Jones movie is "The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". It's more recent and shows Indie still doing his thing even though he's much older. The actor Shia Labeouf is in that one. He is in a movie titled, "Holes" (2003), which is an excellent film, btw. My wife and I loved that movie! Fantastic story, acting, etc. It also stars actress, Sigourney Weaver, ("Ripley") from the Alien film franchise.
John Rhys-Davies who plays "Sallah"(The guy in the red hat} was also in Lord of the Rings as the Dwarf.
My favorite one of the franchise! Sean Connery and Harrison Ford were a fantastic pairing.
And the return of John Rhys-Davies. The three are just fantastic.

If you want to see Sean Connery in one of his best rolls, you have to watch "The Man Who Would Be King".(1975).
It co-stars 2 other great actors, Michael Caine and Christopher Plummer. It is one of the best adventure movies of all time.
Directed by John Huston.......4 Stars from Roger Ebert....One you will enjoy watching over and over again...

I like this one so much. It explains where he got his fear of snakes, the scar on his chin, his hat, and his whip. And his name.
And it all happened in the same afternoon. Like Rouge one explains all of Han Solos original traits which happened within a few weeks

It isn’t a bad movie it just didn’t live up to the hype that you built up in your head. The last crusade is the best, but they are all rather silly movies, but great adventures and that’s no different for the crystal skull. People always gotta bash a movie to make themselves sound like a movie critic.

Here's a little trivia I learned in Venice: Venice doesn't have undergrounds, it's built on a swamp's sand, so for the scene where they get out the sewer, the crew had to build an elevated portion of the square -like a stage- and put the actors underneath. The "library" is an ex-church called St.Barnabas and currently holds a lovely exhibition of Leonardo's machines.

There is a great Harrison Ford drama you should watch. It's called Witness. He is a Philadelphia homicide cop who has to go to Amish country to protect a little boy who witnessed a murder in Philly done by a crooked cop. It's a great trip through Amish culture and a great love story.

Hi Amber! The famous blimp you're thinking of was the "Hindenburg" disaster of 1937. It was a passenger blimp that exploded over Lakehurst, New Jersey; 36 people died in that disaster.
Sean Connery really makes this movie! The half hour between the opening in Utah and the appearance of Dr. Jones Sr. is just set up for him to show up.

The first part of the film, with the young Indy, was filmed at Arches National Park. Part of my field geology class was to map a portion of the park. Our class happened to be at the park while the film crew was setting up shop.
Just so ya know...... Young Indy, played by the late River Phoenix, was the brother of Oscar Winner JOAQUIN PHOENIX. Sean Connery (Indy's dad) was the 1st and original JAMES BOND 007! Look up his photos from that era. He was an action star, which makes his role here humorous. This also, is the actual sequel to RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK. The last film was a prequel.
On your reaction to them having submachine guns in the 30's: During the Prohibition the Thompson Submachine Gun (called in slang as a "Tommy Gun") was very popular with Al Capone and his crew (and others like them.) The most commonly seen ones had a 100-drum magazine and fired at a rate of 700-800 Rounds per minute. The most famous use was the Saint Valentine's Day Massacre in Chicago, 1929. They are also sometimes referred to as a "Chicago Typewriter" when someone tries to use a Tommy Gun to write something on a wall in bullets. Not really possible IRL, but it happens in Hollywood.
As for blimps, yea they were used a lot in the 20's and 30's. The last blimp used other than for advertising and such was around 1962. As for the famous one, you probably are thinking of the Hindenburg disaster 1937 where sparks (some reports said it was a St. Elmo's Fire (a bluish plasma discharge caused by ionization of the air) from the ground crew as they were mooring the blimp in the rain caused the blimp to catch fire which caused the hydrogen to explode. 35 people died and those that didn't were severely burned.
More fun facts the most famous Rolls-Royce is the "Star of India" a custom 1934 Phantom II made for the Maharaja of Rajkot. He sold it in 1968 and after changing hands for years, selling for as much as $10 million dollars, it finally was brought back to the family by his grandson in 2009 for $850,000 as a gift for his father's (the Maharajah's son) 75th birthday!

Quick side note - when Indy tells his class that "truth" can be found in Dr. Tyree's philosophy class, he's referring to Harrison's actual Philosophy professor, Dr. William Tyree, from his (and my) alma mater, Ripon College in Ripon, Wisconsin. Harrison was a philosophy major at Ripon (a tiny private liberal arts college in a tiny rural Wisconsin town). Ripon is also the alma mater of Spencer Tracy, jazz singer Al Jarreau and actress Francis Lee McCain (Ren's mom in "Footloose"). For a brief time, I lived in the same apartment Harrison lived in when he went to Ripon.
I love the idea that Indy is essentially guided by and protected by God. The reason he not only survives in his movies, but triumphs is divine intervention. In a weird way it makes his impossible stunts more believable. The best example in this movie is when the wind (God AKA Spielberg) throws him his hat after he narrowly escapes falling off the cliff in that tank. As if God AKA Steven was saying. "Time to get back to work".
To steal a line from The Blues Brothers, "We're on a mission from God!"

This is my favorite one - mostly because of Sir Sean Connery. Hi is a LEGEND. Not to mention River Phoenix. Marcus is such a great character too. I also like the grail story. I never tire of this movie.
I remember watching this in in the theatre when it came out. I was absolutely delighted when Marcus said, "I'll tell him we'll take two." It meant we were going to see a lot more of him than we did in Raiders.

When this movie came out I was working at a movie theater. They checked the films before the first show. Films came on six reels back then so they had to be put together. I got to see this film before most everybody because I stayed after work and watched it during the check. Another thing that the theater did was show one film in two theaters. Because of the price of movie rentals by theaters they could only afford one set. They put a hole in the wall between two projection booths and ran the film in the first one then it went down like a conveyer belt, that they made themselves, and then went into the other film projector and played in that theater a few minutes later. It was big news locally. It was in the papers and everything at the time.
I still remember when I first saw this movie in theaters in Montreal back in 1989. It was a two features special and the first movie was Star Trek V: The Final Frontier.
Sean Connery was the perfect choice for this role. He has a huge body of work that you should check out. He was the original James Bond, Highlander, Hunt for Red October, The Rock; just to name several. Harrison for has some other movies you would like also Blade runner, and his Roles as Jack Ryan are just the tip of the iceberg for his body of work.
Dad is played by Sean Connery. He was the ORIGINAL James Bond, the fictional British Spy, to see him at his youthful best watch Dr No the very first James Bond film, lots of action and the COOLEST car ever!😃

Yes. The first practical machine guns date as far back as the mid 1800's, although they were not exactly "portable" (the were, basically, the size of a cannon). By the end of the century (around the 1890's) different companies had regular rifles adapted to make multishots and, by the 1930's, several options were available. According to the Internet Fire Arms Database (yes, that exists xD), the machine gun in the boat chase is a Haenel-Schmeisser MP28/II, a submachine introduced during the 1920's, used in Germany during WWII.
"Could you just ride in blimps?"
Yes you could XD. Back in the 1930's, while airplanes were getting better in design, they were still mostly seen too experimental to transport large groups of people (back in World War I, to move troops and passengers, ships were mostly used; and air travel, in blimps or airplanes, was not as fast as most ships were, yet).
Dirigibles or zeppelins came to challenge ships, to a bit (the difference between an airship, wether it's called dirigible or zeppeling, and a true "blimp" is that the blimp doesn't have a rigid internal structure, while the zeppelin always keeps its form because it has a rigid set of metal rings inside; and the "difference" between dirigibles and zeppelins is that zeppelin was the term used to identify airships made in Germany).
Anyway, airships were heavily used during WWI (with several setbacks, that included the discovery airships were prone to accidents if they flew in severe weather or maintenance wasn't on point); during the period between WWI and WWII the USA, Britain and Germany (mainly, but not only) bet their chips on making regular passenger and military transport services with airships.
The british R101 could carry 50 passengers and 42 crewmembers, the american USS Akron could carry 76 passengers and crew members (and was designed to function as a flying aircraft carrier) and the german Hindenburg could (generally) carry 50 passengers and 40 crewmembers.
Unfortunately, all those airships crashed, with heavy loss of life (not related to the gas they used): the R101 crashed in France in 1930 due to severe weather (only 6 survivors out 58 people on board); the USS Akron crashed in 1933 after flying into a severe storm that, basically, pushed it down to the sea (killing 73 of 76 people on board) and the Hindenburg crashed in 1937 after static electricity (most likely) ignited a leak of hydrogen gas inside the ship (killing 35 of 97 people on board; while this had the most survivors, the images of the accident are the most remembered of the accidents with rigid airships). Each accident convinced the countries of the world that airships and blimps were a waste of time for large transportation and, eventually, devoted their efforts to perfect the design of airplanes and ships.
The particular zeppelin featured in the film is a fictional one (considering the registration number it shows), while there were projects to build an entire fleet of Hindenburg-class zeppelins for regular passenger service, the only one completed (besides the Hindenburg) was the Graf Zeppelin II, that entered service in 1938 and was used as a spy airship during WWII. The structure of another one was in construction too, but in 1940 German authorities ordered to scrap both aiships to use their metal for planes.
Fun fact: the peculiar top of the Empire State looks like that (thick as it goes down into the building) was built like that because it was meant to be used as a mooring mast for airships flying into New York; the aiships were expected to to be tied to the top of the building and descend using a staircase into the building.
While there are some adaptations about the Hindenburg disaster (and how it was like to travel in airships), maybe you should consider watching the film "The Hindenburg" of 1975, for reaction or private recreation (the film explores the theory the ship was lost to sabotage, which is considered a conspiracy theory... but that theory has never been fully put to rest XD).
"Look! A plane is guiding it XD"
Nope, the airship is controlled from the gondola and the airship has its own engines bolted into its structure. For that reason, it was proposed some designs could carry in their underbellies aircraft ready to be launched, if needed. That concept was known as "flying aircraft carrier". In times of war, though, a plane could also be a defense mechanism for airships not meant for military purposes: airplanes are more maneouverable and agile that large rigid airships in air to air combat (another elemnt that convinced governments around the world the future of air warfare was in the numbers and agility, not the size).
"Rolls Royce is that old!?"
Yes, the company was created in 1904 and its first car was presented in Paris at the end of that year. The particular model featured in the film (the Phantom) was introduced in 1925.

The intro about Indy as a boy scout was so popular that in the 90s there was a Young Indiana Jones TV series starring Sean Patrick Flanery. River Phoenix had passed away by that time.

Hell they had machine guns in WWI. I forget the country of origin, but one had a cooling tank around the barrel. Soldiers would piss in it when it was running low to save water

George Lucas picked the name "Indiana" because it was the name of his Alaskan Malamute. The dog was also the inspiration for the character of Chewbacca.
A good movie to watch with River Phoenix (RIP) is Running on Empty. He was nominated for an Oscar for his role in that movie. He was only 18 at that time. I’m sure someone mentioned but he was the older brother of Joaquin Phoenix.

So a lot of people have commented about Connery being Bond and playing Indy’s dad. Some additional significance to that - early in his career, Spielberg wanted to direct a Bond movie coz he loved them, but when George Lucas pitched him Raiders, he did it by saying ‘I have something better than Bond.’ In a lot of ways, Indy is Spielberg and Lucas’ take on Bond - globe trotting, roguish, always with a new woman … so it’s only fitting that the original Bond, who inspired the character of Indy, be the man to play his father. Also, Jay was saying he didn’t think the action in this one was the best, and while I think Raiders is my overall favourite Indy film, the tank sequence in this is, IMO, an unparalleled feat of action and suspense cinema.
One more to go before the finale one hits theatres in June . One of the most famous blimps was " The Zeppelin ". It burned and crashed. There are 2 more blimps in California . One of them is " The Good Year " blimp

@@jp3813 I apologize for that previous comment and everybody is entitled to they’re opinion. It’s just that I always liked the fourth one but I was also born after the original three came out but I still saw most of them before being taken to see 4 in theaters and I loved it. I just bothers me when I see people in the comments try to discourage the reactors from watching it or for example the Star Wars prequels and I believe that they should go in open minded and form they’re own opinion and I admit I love both the prequels and that movie so I’m biased but I also have seen many reactions to both and the majority end up liking them. I believe it’s probably because much like me they didn’t end up growing up and spending years anticipating what the next one should or will be like and therefore they were a disappointment because it wasn’t what everyone else had imagined it. Doesn’t mean it’s bad just not what was expected and I don’t feel it’s for the fans to decide what the next entry should be, but the creators like Lucas and Spielberg. And I also hate the star wars sequel trilogy but I won’t tell people to skip them because they are still part of the story and the only time I watch them is if I’m doing a marathon. Sorry for the long comment I just felt I needed to give and explanation and an apology.
