      Yessir. Witcher 3 now compared to Witcher 3 at launch are like night and day. What I’m gathering from the reviews is that the game itself (story, characters, scope, setting, depth) is great BUT bugs make it harder to enjoy. Bugs can be fixed over time, but what you can’t fix is a games entire core after it’s been released. Once this game is properly patched and polished for next gen systems as well as some nice DLC I think it will be a true masterpiece.

    • @ChrisKendallCK
      @ChrisKendallCK 4 года назад +19

      The problem is their relationship and/or opinion of the developers get in the way.
      Days Gone got tore apart. Anything by Ubisoft, 2K Sports, EA all get torn apart. And rightly so in my opinion, if a game has a tonne of bugs they should hit the review score and be a large part of the review.
      For instance - I'm really enjoying Watch Dogs Legion on Series X but there is a bug which occasionally fails to save the game, and you lose your progress. That type of thing should never be left out of a review. I lost 3 hours the other night.
      But because it's CDPR - most are ignorantly overlooking the issues. Some set their expectations so high, they are lying to themselves.
      Same as Kojima - Death Stranding was interesting and fresh. But literally no gameplay. Just walk from A to B. It was nowhere near a 10/10 but look how many gave it because it was Kojima.

      From the early reviews, this is not a good Deus Ex game. Stealth is there, but it's all just stat checks and not actual skill. You can turn every turret friendly, blind every opponent, and just walk right by everyone. The only cost of entry is that the cyberware is expensive, meaning you can't really play the way you want until closer to halfway through the game when you finally can buy the cyberdecks that allow for higher skill checks. Also, melee is the weakest point of the entire game.

      @Skyfox94 4 года назад

      @@kael13 Sounds a lot like it to me as well. I mean many of the stealth options for Human Revolution were hidden behind a "you need to punch through this wall, carry this heavy box or jump to that high platform" kind of skill gate. Sneaking mechanics themselves were forgiving enough to make up for the lack of depth and ultimately they did what they were intended to. That for me indicates a job well done. They didn't need to be more intricate than necessary and I'm sure from a dev point of view they were hard enough to implement either way.
      If this game is only half as good as Deus Ex than I'll be more than happy. I largely ignored it over the last few months and by the looks of it I won't be playing it anytime before the weekend so let's see how it goes.

When critiquing a game for review I’m sure reviewers are looking really closely at every aspect so they are more apparent. I’ve found if I enjoy a game my brain usually just blocks out the bugs for the most part. And all the reviews so far have pretty much said bugs haven’t been game breaking. So I’m not to worried. A lot of people have documented evidence of the extreme amounts of bugs and issues with both AC Valhalla and Cyberpunk. You getting lucky with 1 game doesn't mean it will happen with the next one. So when you run into massive amounts of bugs that are potentially game-breaking, how will you react if someone else just walks in and says "People are overreacting about the bugs, works on my machine!".
