all your videos have such an exact definition and quality in explaning the why's and how's and not-to's. definitely is the type of tutorial that you want to come back to in time to time. magnificent!!
I get your point, but hold on... dry/wet reverb on an insert works out completely different than reverb on a send. Turn wet to 100% on an insert and you dial out the original source until is completely gone. 100% on a send and you still hear the original source. That's quite a big difference you have to keep in mind.
I'm saying that when you use a reverb on a send, that reverb is 100% wet. The dry/wet ratio comes in from how hard you mix that send into your actual track. So a dry/wet knob on a plugin is like setting that plugin on a send with 100% wet and using the return as the dry/wet ratio.
Hey! Quick question, so I use a lot of slap delay like you on vocals to get a haas effect, and flip either the left or right phase. I find I run into less phase problems and it sounds better. Any idea why this is the case?
Great video, brother. Very informative. Cool tricks. It's nice to see a video where someone is teaching something and the example they give actually sounds good. Keep em coming. Thank you.
Great tutorial man! One question though: if you have your feedback this low on a pingpong, doesn't that mean you only ever get one repeat on your right ear (in the case of H-delay)? Might be better to just use something like panman on a mono delay?
Hey, could you do a series/playlist for getting started writing as if one knows nothing just to get caught up to the point one would need to be as well as introducing how your channel works and stuff. Then, you have a good set of "here's how to get started" for those who come in not knowing much yet.
My friend i have one question on which i can't find the answer nowhere on the internet! Can you post a video to show us how you convert your master track for video clip ( streaming), to show us which format you use ( aac, mp3 or whatever) and how you do it, if it's possible ! Thanks from Croatia!
me luv how your head moves like a bobble head - thanks for some clarity on reverbs en delays cuz it takes me 4ever to understand stuff like predelay theory in practice - your custom sends have been joy but it wood be nice 2 understand all this techno bimbo 4 me me self
Hey Make Pop Music! I just wanted to ask and figure out this question. I’ve had this question for a while because I’m looking my begin my career soon. But where do you get most of your modern pop preset sounds for your vsts?
Would you be able to do a ballad with male vocal? I enjoyed the mastering video you did with the Adele type feel, would love to see you do a similar video with a male vocalist. Maybe guitar and vocals? Something simple :) Thank you for your skill and for sharing your knowledge, absolutely loving it!
In the delay throw you made a duplicate of the part you want the effects on....Do I've to add same plugins on the new channel of delay same as the main vocal chain or is there a way to do it efficiently?....I'm using FL
Hey Austin, great tutorial btw. Question for you... I can't seem to match one of the verbsuite reverbs to a mix genre pop/jazzy type. Idk if you offer this services but would be able to take a listen and provide some feedback (I can venmo for your time). thanks!
dope song! I'm wondering where you most get you bass from? keyscape or some other type of vst? I currently only pay for splice but want that "endless play" on my bass, opposed to one shot 808's. do you normally grab a bass synth?
My parallel widening chain is just a send with the Roland Dimension D on setting 3. You could also use something like Microshift, Waves Doubler, or Antares Duo!
@@MakePopMusic Word! I actually went back and saw that I had missed you cover that in the vid. Found the Acon Multiply for free haha. That Dimension D and RC20 are on my wishlist.
I see most of your vocal tracks are Stereo ? is this the way they were bounced or recorded, Next questions is when to use stereo fx in place of mono sends/ Inserts ?
The artist bounced these as stereo tracks. But most of the time I will have them as stereo tracks sa well so I can use delays and reverbs and modulation plugins as inserts. If I want a mono insert or send, I just use a mono track and the mono version of the plugin!
ok, i got another question, on the music intro to your videos, whats the synth making the dubstep pad sound, is it serum and do you have a wavetable for this ?@@MakePopMusic

I wanna hear that finished track🔥🔥
Really cool delay throw trick. I would have never thought of that.
Hi Austin, Great video thank you so much!
Can I ask please why do you use the reverb send as a pre fader?
TBH, they were set like that as I started mixing and it worked fine for this track. 99% of the time I'm post fader now though.
This video was dope AF 🔥🔥🔥🔥
ur process is underated, your tips and style it's very professional, thank you !

Hello, new subscriber here. I was wondering, what do you think about the stock reverb & delay plugins of Cubase?
They are quite good especially the convolution (reverence)
jsut do 60,000 Divided BPM and then Keep Dividing By two till the number is the one u want
Dude, you are the poop.. Thanks so much.
Subtlitles castellano plis !!!
😍
Use hardware delay and reverb .. Way better than these boring (the same everytime) digital precision routines.
What hardware delay and reverb units are your favorites?
@@MakePopMusic Take the following for example (affordable too)
1. TC Electronics M300 Delay+Reverb
2. Mooers Dual Delay Pedal
3. Boss DD6.
4.Favourite - Strymon Blue Sky Reverb
