Impossible to defend Supercell these days. You can easily get 100k gold in a week, getting enough cards to upgrade any card from lvl 13 to lvl 14 will take months even if it the card and its evo shard were on the season shop (considering you have the evo). Let's quickly do the math for a common card: You get 1k total cards from the season shop and 3 evo shard which convert to 3k cards, that's still only 4k out of the 5k cards needed for 24.5k season tokens It's less than half the value, which Supercell loves bragging about in the shop offers
@@Philyshark7 I think it depends on what arena or King level you are, but the higher it gets, the more gold chest get replaced by gold crates. For me I think at least every third chest is gold crate (not counting tower troop chests)
Cant even use the magic coin to go from 14-15 and all my cards are level 14 now. Wtf am i meant to do. Ive been f2p for about 6 years and ive only gotten about 16 cards to level 15 and for reference, level 15 has been out for an entire year and ive been getting to ultimate champion every season. Its going to take me about 8 more years to get all level 15 as a f2p. Swear im going to quit soon. VERY soon if something doesnt change in the next month.
@@DavidIRL9 its more like old players who used to be able to get things like new cards for free but now they can't for the longest time in 2016-2018 u had like challenges if u were skilled enough u could unlock the newest card otherwise it was based on luck. Tournaments were all lvl 9 so just unlocking the legendary was enough to play competetive just cuz u are a new player doesn't mean everyone else is

I think a book of cards is better then a gold coin because it is easier to farm 100k gold then 5k common wild cards, 1250 rare, 200 epic, 20 legendary or 20 champions wild cards.

The devs are not the reason for the game’s death. I have made a comment on this video and a billion other videos about it, but basically a company (Tencent) bought out a chunk of Supercell, Clash Royale getting the worst, as 82% of the game was bought out. Tencent is known for monetizing games to death, and Clash Royale will eventually be killed aswell

I haven’t seen anyone comment the way that they implemented the full evolution reward in the lucky drops. If you are lucky enough to get a full Evo in the drop, you better not get an evo you already have shards on it, because you will be getting just 3 free shards (or the number of shards you’re missing) instead of six shards you would’ve obtained from an Evo you have no shards at all. So basically by getting lucky you have the probability to get less shards, so in a way you’re discouraged to used your wild shards.

It all comes down to the point that Supercell hasnt got the slightest idea how to monetize the game besides pay to progress. And they are not brave enough to try some things. It's really sad. You know what: I am willing to pay 10€ every month (maybe even more) if they guarantee that I am neither overleveled nor underleveled in every single game with all cards and Evos available for both players.

The season challenges are one of the few things i still enjoy doing in CR and it was always ass with only a 1000 token limit per day, but now they've taken out everything worth it except for evo shards. Betting those are next 👍
That's a thing I realized almost immediately. Every time they add a progression buff they alway have to ration and remove progression equal to the amount added. I hate it. Like brawl stars whenever they add progression they never remove other, and sometimes just straight up gives free progression. Why can't cr do the same?

Funny how we just had a common book of cards this season. The 3 new op cards are rare, epic and legendary. The 4 other choices of books we should be getting this season allows you to upgrade one of these op cards (rare, epic, legendary or book of books). But instead, we get a magic coin. Coincidence? I think not.
Gold is extremely short for returning players. Nice that they are giving us a chance to upgrade. I'm probably about 2 million gold short of maxing out my cards as a returning player
the books and wild cards from the season shop were one of the only ways to progress as a f2p player. without those options its basically impossible to progress, i only have my main deck maxed and its not meta so i basically cant play the game or reach ultimate champion. playing the game just feels like a chore at this point
I'm a Arena 1 (Zero trophy) player with experience level 47 and we have many people with multiple similar accounts in a clan full of zero trophy players. When new update dropped, we could see goblin tab for claiming community rewards but couldn't claim it because it didn't appear in the shop even though community rewards should be for all as well as I had claimed previous community rewards. I tried help and support 10s of times, live chat, they said they are working on but they didn't do anything until today instead of giving community rewards, the goblin tab is now disappeared. WOW SUPER(SCAM)CELL MOVE! I even mailed them and they said they are trying to fix it and said you should use help and support which I had already done still no response. I really needed those rewards and gold. Sadly now no hope left. I play this account every single day and this is basically my main account. Can't even try new stuffs and have fun in the game anymore. Then I thought maybe the rewards are for arena 11 and above but I can see all community rewards on ARENA 4 ACCOUNT. SCAMCELL strikes again. Btw I am happy to get magic coin cause I have sooo many cards to upgrade to level 14 but not gold.
As a free to play player since day one the main issue is still gold so I see this magic coin as a better option. I would rather upgrade one of my countless level 13 cards to 14 for free than getting a book I won’t use thanks to lucky drops giving me more than enough wild cards daily… EVEN FROM COMMON LUCKY DROPS you get common and rare wild cards. Also to add- the gold amount from lucky drops is abysmal at a measly 15000 gold AT MAXIMUM!
Also to add an example.. I have a rare book from 2 seasons ago along with 2000+ out of 1500 rare wild cards that I have no point using thanks to the gold economy being so low for F2P
B-rad has been bitching about clash royale for YEARS, even before they introduced level 15. His whole deal is click bait and making money off people's frustrations with the game. I promise you he will be playing this game 5 years from now and he'll still be complaining.
Magic coin is a terrible reward for 10K, Books are as a f2p worth 100x more than 100K gold, I can get 100K gold in a week maybe 2 depending on what event is going on and my luck/if U have pass/ranked to push, 13-14 card requirements can take me 1month+ sometimes depending on what it is for rarity and if I already have it level 13 which for most cases I don't even have them 13 yet so it often takes multiple months to get some cards to level 14 without books, this change is a joke and i'm genuinly thinking about just unistalling the game IF the new evos don't get nerfed pre launch and if evo telsa stays unchanged. that card is the only reason I cannot push to ult champ at this moment in time because every other game I lose to it since I play 2.6HOG without it since I don't have it..........
For me that have all cards at least lvl.14 and like 30 maxed its so hard to play anything thats strong because of the evos. I hate to play 2 or 3 months to get 1 evo thats then bad again because of new ones. Thet nerfed and buffed f2p content all the time. it's just so happens that at the time, peaople reached a climax, so even a small mistake is seen as a big mistake. :D This is "normal" in my opinion and nothing out of the ordinary, just bias because they didn't do much beside doing more p2w content than f2p content, so removing f2p content was the last straw.
I had 3 max accounts and deleted them all about 2 years ago, but I've been casually playing again on a new account. Personally as an 8 year player I want gold. I don't think removing the book is a big deal, but that doesn't mean the state of the game is good or anything. All the other decisions they are making are terrible.
It's still in the shop though. Not that I'm defending Tencent, I still dispise them with every fiber of my being. I've been doing the level 15 boycott as well even though I've had all my cards at level 14 for a full year now.
Glad I switched to COC this past month, bc this game is over. Tencent does not hear a single word of what the CR community is saying. Tencent has ruined so many games since they just buy them out, then monetize them till death (literally). Clash Royale is going through this fate, and there is nothing you can do about it

I've been mostly maxed for a while, everything at level 14 and just grinding for elite wild cards to upgrade like 1 card a season. I'm sitting at 4.5 mil gold all the time because there's nothing to spend it on. And now, thanks supercell, I'm just going to be able to get something that lets me save my gold for...what? No clue!
I knew mystery chest was too good to be true, they introduce something good to nerf something else like gold being made useless after slash royale and level 15 and then giving us so much gold including taking away gem rewards from masteries for it. Books are hard to come by in the mystery chest and probably get less than you would with the season shop. Magic coins used to be hard to get and rare to come by needing the pass or shop offers, and now since gold became useless, now it's being used to replace books, something of value, the same way they justified gold replacing gems, meaningful resources being removed for gold. Gold is only abundant now to help catch everyone up to level 14 where their real new currency ewc's come into play to roll out new levels. It's pathetic. Even the free gold, we only get it again now but never got that genorisity before level 15 or 14 even became a thing. Being kind with gold now is just a sad way to pretend they're caring.
I feel so confused how much clash wants to cut rewards. I remember first seeing the gold pass changing in the update for losers and thinking this is the worst they'd do and believed it was just cause of "inflation" as they claimed...
I actually like this better. I have gotten lucky with my lucky drops so that I have overflowing books, and do not have enough gold to upgrade to max level. I wouldn't want this to be the future standard though, it's a good thing if it's a one-time occurance or like an intermittant thing, but not perpetual.

I haven't seen anyone talking about the books' store rotation. They usually rotate based on the rarity but this season was the first one that skipped the legendary book. Obviously that's the only thing I needed for lvl 14 dagger duchess, and now they removed the book. Been playing for 8 years it's sad to see the game being so ass nowdays.
for a normal person( not fully max but somewhat maxed) you get 100k gold and 100k gold gives you 5k ewc and the common or rare book would also give you 5k ewc and even epic book ( i have common and rare maxed) so it doesn't even matter to me

I haven’t seen anyone comment the way that they implemented the full evolution reward in the lucky drops. If you are lucky enough to get a full Evo in the drop, you better not get an evo you already have shards on it, because you will be getting just 3 free shards (or the number of shards you’re missing) instead of six shards you would’ve obtained from an Evo you have no shards at all. So basically by getting lucky you have the probability to get less shards, so in a way you’re discouraged to used your wild shards.
Of all the things you could’ve complained about it was that? That isn’t even that bad, just save your wild shard until you have 6

Supercell must add an OG tournament every month or second month, where there are no champions, tower troops and evos... and the cards stats must be how it was like in 2018 or around there... that would also make the tournament interesting as tge players wont remember all the stats and it would force us to connect with the games history... i mean the history of the game is all that keeps it alive...

It all comes down to the point that Supercell hasnt got the slightest idea how to monetize the game besides pay to progress. And they are not brave enough to try some things. It's really sad.
You know what: I am willing to pay 10€ every month (maybe even more) if they guarantee that I am neither overleveled nor underleveled in every single game with all cards and Evos available for both players.

The season challenges are one of the few things i still enjoy doing in CR and it was always ass with only a 1000 token limit per day, but now they've taken out everything worth it except for evo shards. Betting those are next 👍

That's a thing I realized almost immediately. Every time they add a progression buff they alway have to ration and remove progression equal to the amount added. I hate it. Like brawl stars whenever they add progression they never remove other, and sometimes just straight up gives free progression. Why can't cr do the same?

Funny how we just had a common book of cards this season. The 3 new op cards are rare, epic and legendary. The 4 other choices of books we should be getting this season allows you to upgrade one of these op cards (rare, epic, legendary or book of books). But instead, we get a magic coin. Coincidence? I think not.

Gold is extremely short for returning players. Nice that they are giving us a chance to upgrade. I'm probably about 2 million gold short of maxing out my cards as a returning player
the books and wild cards from the season shop were one of the only ways to progress as a f2p player. without those options its basically impossible to progress, i only have my main deck maxed and its not meta so i basically cant play the game or reach ultimate champion. playing the game just feels like a chore at this point

I'm a Arena 1 (Zero trophy) player with experience level 47 and we have many people with multiple similar accounts in a clan full of zero trophy players. When new update dropped, we could see goblin tab for claiming community rewards but couldn't claim it because it didn't appear in the shop even though community rewards should be for all as well as I had claimed previous community rewards. I tried help and support 10s of times, live chat, they said they are working on but they didn't do anything until today instead of giving community rewards, the goblin tab is now disappeared. WOW SUPER(SCAM)CELL MOVE! I even mailed them and they said they are trying to fix it and said you should use help and support which I had already done still no response. I really needed those rewards and gold. Sadly now no hope left. I play this account every single day and this is basically my main account. Can't even try new stuffs and have fun in the game anymore. Then I thought maybe the rewards are for arena 11 and above but I can see all community rewards on ARENA 4 ACCOUNT. SCAMCELL strikes again. Btw I am happy to get magic coin cause I have sooo many cards to upgrade to level 14 but not gold.
As a free to play player since day one the main issue is still gold so I see this magic coin as a better option. I would rather upgrade one of my countless level 13 cards to 14 for free than getting a book I won’t use thanks to lucky drops giving me more than enough wild cards daily… EVEN FROM COMMON LUCKY DROPS you get common and rare wild cards.

the gold amount from lucky drops is abysmal at a measly 15000 gold AT MAXIMUM!

id much rather have the book than the magic coin. getting enough cards to max a card takes much longer than getting 100k gold
B-rad has been bitching about clash royale for YEARS, even before they introduced level 15. His whole deal is click bait and making money off people's frustrations with the game. I promise you he will be playing this game 5 years from now and he'll still be complaining.

Magic coin is a terrible reward for 10K, Books are as a f2p worth 100x more than 100K gold, I can get 100K gold in a week maybe 2 depending on what event is going on and my luck/if U have pass/ranked to push, 13-14 card requirements can take me 1month+ sometimes depending on what it is for rarity and if I already have it level 13 which for most cases I don't even have them 13 yet so it often takes multiple months to get some cards to level 14 without books, this change is a joke and i'm genuinly thinking about just unistalling the game IF the new evos don't get nerfed pre launch and if evo telsa stays unchanged. that card is the only reason I cannot push to ult champ at this moment in time because every other game I lose to it since I play 2.6HOG without it since I don't have it..........

For me that have all cards at least lvl.14 and like 30 maxed its so hard to play anything thats strong because of the evos. I hate to play 2 or 3 months to get 1 evo thats then bad again because of new ones. Supercell is ether way not test ther evos or they wan't just that cash from the players wo need to stay a chance to hold up with these. There is no ecause for that

Thet nerfed and buffed f2p content all the time. it's just so happens that at the time, peaople reached a climax, so even a small mistake is seen as a big mistake. :D
This is "normal" in my opinion and nothing out of the ordinary, just bias because they didn't do much beside doing more p2w content than f2p content, so removing f2p content was the last straw.

I had 3 max accounts and deleted them all about 2 years ago, but I've been casually playing again on a new account. Personally as an 8 year player I want gold. I don't think removing the book is a big deal, but that doesn't mean the state of the game is good or anything. All the other decisions they are making are terrible.
It's still in the shop though. Not that I'm defending Tencent, I still dispise them with every fiber of my being. I've been doing the level 15 boycott as well even though I've had all my cards at level 14 for a full year now.
At this point i think they should remove season shop 😢

Glad I switched to COC this past month, bc this game is over. Tencent does not hear a single word of what the CR community is saying. Tencent has ruined so many games since they just buy them out, then monetize them till death (literally). Clash Royale is going through this fate, and there is nothing you can do about it

F magic coins, I played for 5 years I got all my cards to at least lvl 14 (except the 3 new one, not a fool with my money) and since a long time my gold is only for shop refresh for wild cards, and it's almost always max ar 5 000 000 and anyway I get it easyy from events, so what the point? Sure I'm not the only one in this situation, and I know not everyone is maxed at lvl 14, but THIS INCLUDE EVERYONE : the time and investisment requires to have 100 000 (wich is the best value of the magic coin, from lvl 13 to 14) is nothing compare to the time and efforts put in to have the amount of cards needed of any rarity to go from lvl 13 to 14

I've been mostly maxed for a while, everything at level 14 and just grinding for elite wild cards to upgrade like 1 card a season. I'm sitting at 4.5 mil gold all the time because there's nothing to spend it on. And now, thanks supercell, I'm just going to be able to get something that lets me save my gold for...what? No clue!

I knew mystery chest was too good to be true, they introduce something good to nerf something else like gold being made useless after slash royale and level 15 and then giving us so much gold including taking away gem rewards from masteries for it. Books are hard to come by in the mystery chest and probably get less than you would with the season shop.
Magic coins used to be hard to get and rare to come by needing the pass or shop offers, and now since gold became useless, now it's being used to replace books, something of value, the same way they justified gold replacing gems, meaningful resources being removed for gold. Gold is only abundant now to help catch everyone up to level 14 where their real new currency ewc's come into play to roll out new levels. It's pathetic.
Even the free gold, we only get it again now but never got that genorisity before level 15 or 14 even became a thing. Being kind with gold now is just a sad way to pretend they're caring.

I actually like this better. I have gotten lucky with my lucky drops so that I have overflowing books, and do not have enough gold to upgrade to max level. I wouldn't want this to be the future standard though, it's a good thing if it's a one-time occurance or like an intermittant thing, but not perpetual.
Playing since 2016 and 1 time my main account got stole by hacker, I haven't got any book of cards from lucky drop, now they are removing it, I think it's time to leave clash royal for good...
this is crazy and doesnt make sense...if its too much value then make it more expensive...you want to add the coin ok do it but dont remove the last good thing in the season shop for it...just put both in the shop make it more expensive but every player can then choose what he needs...some are probably picking the book ...a few players maybe need the coin...but there are literally no jokers in game anymore...the path of legends has sooo few and the season shops joker were removed...book now as well... season shop was the last thing keeping me playing for progress now i dont even know why i should play...just to get 3 evo shards while 2 new evo cards get added

Morten I assume you know about the clash of clans controversy but I wouldn’t be surprised if supercell did the same thing to outspoken creators in clash Royale. Something to be aware of if you really care about or need your partnership with supercell. Doesn’t matter to me but do what is best for your channel and for your life.

I haven't seen anyone talking about the books' store rotation. They usually rotate based on the rarity but this season was the first one that skipped the legendary book. Obviously that's the only thing I needed for lvl 14 dagger duchess, and now they removed the book. Been playing for 8 years it's sad to see the game being so ass nowdays.
for a normal person( not fully max but somewhat maxed) you get 100k gold and 100k gold gives you 5k ewc and the common or rare book would also give you 5k ewc and even epic book ( i have common and rare maxed) so it doesn't even matter to me
