It's worth noting that this particular borla x-pipe deletes the AFM valves. Active Fuel Management is only present in the automatic transmission variant of 2016+ camaros, not the manuals. From research that I've seen, deleting the AFM valves in an automatic GEN6 will throw a check engine light unless you tune the car afterwards. Since the car in this video is a ZL1 1LE (only available in manual), there's no CEL issues here.
Very nice guys. Beautiful car! Still trying to talk you into installing my bmr springs and suspension in my 18 1le in Houston. BMR says to call you but you said you don’t do installs. I won’t trust a street shop for this. Been burned too many times. You guys know these cars. That’s what I’m looking for 🙂👍
I’m sure borla and corsa talked to each other. If corsa is not making full catback then borla said hey, we will make the xpipe to match up. People will need it.
I knew someone would say this...Those aren't Corsa clamps. If you read the thread that Phastek posted on the Forum, they said those clamps are temporary until the real ones come in.
Captain why would they install the exhaust without all the parts!? And why didn't Corsa include them at first? Even if just temporary, using those clamps just once is gonna eff up all the pipes
I’d beat up that zl1 1le too. She looks fun. 😂. Still need to finish my exhaust. Just rear so far. Get rid of the horrible gm bends. This is the worst bends I’ve ever had in a stock exhaust
Just curious do you have a ballpark estimate I'm just trying to get a rough idea doesn't have to be exact perfect of the increase in the horsepower and torque from the exhaust add-ons thank you James
Yes, you will get a check engine light but that can be easily taken care of with the AWE AFM valve plates. www.phastekperformance.com/AWE-AFM-Valve-Simulators-2014-2019-C7-Corvette-p/awe-c7-1310-11030.htm
Yes, the AFM plates will fit either the Camaro and Corvette. Here is the link for the Camaro version. Sorry about any confusion. www.phastekperformance.com/AWE-AFM-Valve-Simulators-p/awe-1310-11030.htm
An AWE/Corsa combo would need a bit of work to make fit correctly. Both of those brands have different ways that they make the connections, so you would have to modify one of the systems to make them work together.
Phastek Performance ah okay I sort of figured it had to do with that. Do you have anything similar for a non coupe? I took a look at the website really couldn’t find anything the same.
That kit should not be a problem as far as fitment. You would need a tune due to eliminating the secondary cats but other then that you should be just fine.
You think I'll need a tune? I know a guy who deleted the secondary cats with a cut and weld job and didn't throw a check engine light or tune on a '17 ZL1. I don't want to tune. So maybe I'm back to just going with the Corsa system. I doubt there's much to gain by using the secondary cats, there's not much restriction in power or volume from the secondary cats to the muffler, at most 5 HP worth and a little sound but likely not much for $550 or whatever. Darn. Maybe I'll have to order and try it and see what happens.
The secondary cats aren't monitored by any sensors or the ECU so deleting them will cause no check engine light or leaning issues, lots of people are having them cut out of the stock cat-back and welding in delete pipes and as long as they're done properly with a weld all the way around, then you'll have no issues. So I'm assuming doing the Borla system nets the same result.
Borla X Pipe part no. is: #60607 Corsa Extreme Axel Back part no. is either PN 14784BLK or PN 14784. The only difference between the two being one set has black tips the other is a polished finish. Hope this helps!

Not all heroes wear capes.
The perfect car does not exist
Me seeing this car: are you sure!
This is my dream car! The colors the exhaust everything is how it needs to be
@Rafael Garcia yeah man

Update: All ZL1 Models (regardless if A10 or M6) do not have AFM. SS and RS autos do have AFM.

So excited y'all didn't even clean up. Right on!
Whoa that’s a nice combo
Borla is so clean
stainless axel and borla x pipe works too
Awesome! Thanks for the input!
Hope you mean stainless works axle back.
What will borla X pipe do to sound ? I have a 6 gen SS
More sound clips please
I have a 2010 camaro ss which you recommend I want it to sound the same as white
It's 2018. I can not believe Corsa is using u-bolt clamps. There's no way I'd put those clamps on my car
I knew someone would say this...Those aren't Corsa clamps. If you read the thread that Phastek posted on the Forum, they said those clamps are temporary until the real ones come in.

agreed

will this xpipe fit a A10 zl1 with a flowmaster American Thunder axleback system?
Will it pass emissions in California and have a check engine light or anything
Is this all 3 inch? I noticed on Corsa site all there axle backs are 2 3/4.
can you put the flowmaster axleback on borla x-pipe?
I really need help please.
So will this set up fit my 2017 camaro ss? It should right?
Yes, the kits will work on the SS with out any issues.
Any updates with corsa with an x pipe or axle back with NPP?
I’d beat up that zl1 1le too. She looks fun. 😂. Still need to finish my exhaust. Just rear so far. Get rid of the horrible gm bends. This is the worst bends I’ve ever had in a stock exhaust
Pretty raspy but the idle sounded perfect
Nice
I have a question... Is it louder than a mid muffler delete hellcat? Please answer
Not sure, we mainly work on Camaro parts at this time. I would think it would be similar, I have not hear them side by side yet though.
Phastek Performance ok
Will the mbrp axle back work with the borla x pipe? Does anyone have it installed?
Just curious do you have a ballpark estimate I'm just trying to get a rough idea doesn't have to be exact perfect of the increase in the horsepower and torque from the exhaust add-ons thank you James
You could get around a 10-15rwhp in crease with the change in systems
Hi so if I remove the x pipe and it got the AFM valve does it pop up the check engine light? I know only Borla x pipe come with the AFM valve.
Yes, you will get a check engine light but that can be easily taken care of with the AWE AFM valve plates.

@@PhastekPerformance Wait like is this one work for camaro or corvette?
Yes, the AFM plates will fit either the Camaro and Corvette. Here is the link for the Camaro version. Sorry about any confusion.

Will the corsa axle backs fit on the awe xpipe/mid pipe ?
An AWE/Corsa combo would need a bit of work to make fit correctly. Both of those brands have different ways that they make the connections, so you would have to modify one of the systems to make them work together.
Does that set up eliminate the secondary cats? What size tips are those?
No, the combination used for this set up does not eliminate the secondary cats. The tip size for the Corsa system used is 4".
Nice 👍
A Question how much of a increase in horsepower do you get with the Borla X -pipe and -Coras Axle-back ..??
Power numbers were not tested.
I'm going to say maybe a gain of between 5 and 10hp. Nothing crazy or even noticeable.
Does the remote start work and are their any check engine/ warning lights?
Its a manual, there is no remote start, that's on the regular ZLI with the A10.
The car is a manual transmission so the remote start is not available. No check engine light though, so we are good with that.
👌
If I install borla x pipe for v6 will I get a light for deleting afm?
yes you will
Why will this X Pipe not fit on a convirtable camaro?
The bracing on the bottom side of the convertible models will hit these pipes, thats why the kit would not fit.
Phastek Performance ah okay I sort of figured it had to do with that. Do you have anything similar for a non coupe? I took a look at the website really couldn’t find anything the same.
How about the 60606 system that deleted secondary cats?
That kit should not be a problem as far as fitment. You would need a tune due to eliminating the secondary cats but other then that you should be just fine.

What mm in thickness are the 3" x pipes?
What’s the borla X Pipe part number for this 1LE / Corsa Extreme Axel back exhaust combo
Borla X Pipe part no. is: #60607
Corsa Extreme Axel Back part no. is either PN 14784BLK or PN 14784. The only difference between the two being one set has black tips the other is a polished finish.

From where I can get spoiler as this?
Ebay
Damn...sounds pissed off!!!! 😰😱
Would this fit a 2017 zl1 automatic with stock mufflers and tips?
Yes, this set up would work with the stock mufflers.
It looks like you guys are using a camera from 2010
Damn girl sound mean
Sounds like stock NPP.
Why not just go full Corsa? I know... it defeats the purpose of this test.
This combo was put together before Corsa release their full cat-back systems.
@@PhastekPerformance That's what I get for watching a 2018 video. LOL
No bueno, removed active exhaust function...Reviewed 29 Nov 2021 not the right way to go...
BORSA cat-back. I still believe that xpipe belongs with an axle-back Borla ATAK))))
Take off that muffler and catalytic converter and let's see how it runs...
