The Durafly SlowPoke is an EPO foam model of the classic design. Adding to the easy-flying design of the SlowPoke, Durafly has added some larger wheels to make it even easier to take off and land on a wide variety of fields. This a great airplane for your first low-wing tail dragger or for the discerning experienced pilot wanting a great-looking, easy-flying plane.
Get the Durafly SlowPoke 1200mm (47.2) PNF (Red Scheme): bit.ly/3Oy5fVq
The large wing makes for easy flying right down to walking pace landings. The power plant (3648 700KV motor and 40A ESC) provides all the power you need. All the 9g servos are all pre-fitted for ease of building. The ball links on the control surfaces make for smooth and precise control for the best realistic flights.
Like all Durafly planes, the building takes next to no time. The extra smooth EPO foam provides an outstanding look and when you include the rigging wires, dummy plastic motor, cockpit detail, and pilot they provide that extra realistic look. The SlowPoke is a plane you can’t walk past without turning your head.
So be the first in your field to enjoy flying the Durafly SlowPoke.

The tail wheel has a wooden mount inside the fuselage that cannot be accessed after assembly, mine came loose. I unscrewed the wheel strut, then wiggled the internal parts out by the control rod. Mine now has a metal skid instead of the tail wheel. I have also reinforced the glue on the remaining control rod tubing, to eliminate flexing of the control rods. Smaller main wheels made a big improvement to the stability, and a battery tray keeps the CG from changing mid flight. The control horns dig into the foam and/or rattle loose, so I extended their base. There is probably a few other small modifications on my SlowPoke that I have forgotten. It can be a good model, once you have solved the issues.

Stuart those are some great mods. The heat shrink on the axle is brilliant. All the years I've been doing this I never thought of that! I've used a number of fixes for that same thing, but heat shrink is the easiest by far. Love learning something new.

& as ur putting the circlip/e-clip on the tail wheel, hold ur hand over it. So u don't hear the ZZZZZING of the clip breaking the sound barrier AS it's vaporizing thru the universe!🤪🤯

As I recall, HobbyKing use to carry the lower cost " Dancing Poke " foam & plywood kit aircraft from the Chinese manufacturer Dancing Wings. I wonder if Dancing Wings discontinued it ?

When reinforcing the control surface hinges with glue do you do it to both sides?

Does anyone know what kind of adhesive the Hobby King foam glue is? The webpage is not much help.
