For the last couple years, I lost my connection with art. I believed I just “couldn’t” do it, anymore! But, someone I respect started asking about my artwork and Finally, I challenged myself to do one sketch a day for one month. I believed I was really crappy at drawing faces… and everything else. But I started and now a month later I’ve learned that practice does lead to improvement and helps reduce stress, brings me joy and that quirky thing I do with faces is just me and I like it! Love your faces!
Wauw! This is really inspiring. I'm really happy for you that you found some creativity back. I am reading and doing The Artist Way right now. It helps me get an inside where those judgemental thoughts come from. I'm planning on doing a video about this process also. If you're curious, the video about The Artist Way that I really enjoyed was this one: ruclips.net/video/s5155a9yGJE/видео.html
Your messages resonated with me as I begin my artistic journey... Thank you for your openess and reminding me that mistakes are only positive learning curves.
Love this so much! Your one of the persons that inspired me to do a 100 day drawing project ! And I love drawing portraits now (did one week a portrait a day) 💜 thank youuu😃
Thank you for sharing your story!! I am an artist and can relate to you so much! I feel like I want and need to grow as an artist and person so I recently committed to drawing everyday and I've been working on portraits as of lately. So happy to have your video pop up in my RUclips feed. You are inspiring!
I’m so impressed with your progress!! Did you follow any books or tutorials or anything to help improve? Also - I’m shook that you don’t have 10k+ subscribers - great video, great music, great art concept, and you have a fun personality! (And I love your accent!)
Thank you so much! I did use loooots of tutorials. I will give you some links to my favorites. At the beginnen I watched a lot at Proko ruclips.net/video/1EPNYWeEf1U/видео.html He talked a lot about the Loomis method but I do enjoy the Reilly method more. ruclips.net/video/Xh-LKm9cgqk/видео.html I also followed courses from sketchy. I even made a video about that one. ruclips.net/video/xQHa6IdVU9A/видео.html And thank you so much for your compliment!
Working on it! I hope there will be another one this month. It's a lot of work already and I didn't even start editting. But hopefully it's coming soon!
Yes, you did it!! Love the video Mags (those skills have also improved!). It's starting to itch again...should I try this too 🤔 I want to, but making the time is my biggest challenge haha. Thanks for sharing the inspiration!
I followed from Reddit and I often feel frustrated with someone's RUclips link. But yours? Not at all. I loved this! The fact you chose portraits, I really like that. And all different types of faces and ages. I get tired of people just doing "good looking younger people". The best faces are usually older faces filled with character. So yes, I'm going to subscribe! 😁
Thank you! To be honest, I feel a bit misplaced on Reddit. But I'm trying😅. So I'm really happy to hear you like it! Thanks for your compliments. I agree! The best faces are the older ones. Thanks for subscribing! I hope you enjoy my future videos also 😉🤸
@@Magsupyourmind I know the video about perfectionists will apply to me and I plan on watching it next. It's a big problem for me as I'm never satisfied and get discouraged 'cause it's not good enough for me. I'm sure I'll find some good advice!
Prachtige portretten! Leuke video.
So inspirational to see this video Doll 🥰 this last yr I have been try to sketch every day I have set any rules on it but just trying to be creative every day even if it just a doodle! It's really been helping me just stay creating and getting more work done. 💯😉 More Artist should post more of their WIP's and just what some of us call "bad art" just make Art right and put it out there even when we might not think they turned out the best. It's okay to admit we are still learning and growing. I honestly love that part about Art is there's always room for growth and to see more well known Artist's post more openly lately has be so great and inspiring to see. 🥰 New Fan here!
I can't agree more! Thanks for sharing. I found out that people really enjoy being part of a learning journey. Every aspect where I was insecure turned out to be pretty interesting to see. And I love to share it! So cool you are also drawing lots!
Thank you so much! No I didn't. There where times I like to do it first thing in the morning. But also maaaany times that it was the last thing right before I wanted to sleep. A few times I almost forgot and went back out of bed to make a portrait. I still didn't master the skill of structure in my day😅. Thanks for watching!
