    Hee Brad, I'm a Dutch kickboxer from the Netherlands (training in this dicipline for years now) but like to train in Chiang Mai for 1-2 month doing Muay thai. Wich camps can you recommend for someone with a little bit more experience in a similair combat sport?
    Does Lanna also have sleeping accomodation for foreigners?

    hi brad, i was looking thru to most of your video. Im a girl planning to go solo & join muay thai camp in thailand but not sure which place is good. I don't really like too much people during the training like tiger(as shown in video) and which one is a good place to train. Im looking forward to be more lean & weight loss instead of be a fighter haha. thanks for your recommendation. hoping can find a good training place that not too expensive.

      Hey Josephine!! Lanna Muay Thai is up in Chiang Mai.. Tiger is down at Phuket. If you are looking for non-martial art based strength and conditioning weight-loss type boot camps - take a look at Titan Fitness (Phuket) or Unit 27 (Phuket) - both of those are located about a 5 minute walk from Tiger and don't comprise of any Muay Thai.
      If you want Muay Thai but less crowded than Tiger, I would suggest Chokchai, Dragon, T&Y or even Top Team (same street in Phuket). No problems solo travelling. Quite a few solo female travellers pass through Tiger and none have reported any issues of personal safety (plus you'll meet people the first day you arrive!)

    Awesome video, Brad! My friends and I are definitely going to check this place out. Do you know if they sell Muy Thai shorts? Or where to purchase them at a affordable price?

    • @BradNewton
      @BradNewton  6 лет назад +1

      Lanna was so much fun!! I hope I captured the essence for you as there were no proper videos filmed of the training camp. They have the "Boxing Lodge" - not sure if you watched the video until the end where I take the camera into the lodge where you can stay... Yeah, they have a little thing where you can buy stuff!! The cheapest place to buy Muay Thai shorts is at the Chiang Mai walking street markets.... so If you are on a budget then definitely go there (Saturday and Sunday walking street)

    • @RSTeong
      @RSTeong 6 лет назад +1

      Yes!! Your video was very informative! I appreciate that you provided the time/cost every step of the way. So Muy Thai shorts are sold at multiple locations? Do you happen to know the average cost of one?
      P.S: You have a new subscriber! Keep up the great work :D

      thanks man!! I JUST released another muay thai vid as I write this :-P
      A video I shot at Tiger Muay Thai (beginner class) and it's nice and short (about 4 minutes) - you might like it!! Actually I have about 7 new Muay thai review/training videos coming up for release which will give you really good insight into what these camps are like to train at... (and remember, I suck at Muay Thai haha!)

    • @BradNewton
      @BradNewton  6 лет назад

      Yeah the Muay Thai shorts are sold everywhere!! Almost all of the training centres sell them (although expensive!!) - they are almost always cheaper at the markets. Around 300-500 Baht at the markets. Expect to pay around 800 Baht or more at the gyms.

    Hey Brad, ive been considering going to chiang mai for training. In you opinion, how would you compare the training at por silaphai and lanna?
    I'm not sure which of those 2 i plan to go to. How did they differ in technical teaching and english skills?
    Hope to hear from you.
    Thanks

      I definitely prefer Lanna!! I found the trainers to much more INTENSE (which for me, I like)... I've been to Lanna a few times and next time I'm in Chiang Mai, I'm going back there!

    fyi when fighters enter the ring in Thailand, men enter over the top of the ropes and women have to enter through underneath the ropes. A weird sexist thing

    • @BradNewton
      @BradNewton  4 года назад +1

      i didn't know that! The Muay Thai gym in Chiang Mai had a ring for women and one for men!

      No. It’s actually perfectly fine. Men are the disposable ones and they must have more authority than women. Probably you have zero problems with men making up to 99% of workplace fatalities. Not all world is like your anglocucked cultural hellhole
